I've lost count of the amount of times I've had dinner at 7:30 in nearby restaurants and wanted to go to Creams after, but it's already shut.

Would have been a 4 for food but on the way back to our car I found a hair well embedded in my ice cream and I really mean embedded - ugh

I love creams and always have, but I asked for cookie dough and I got plain vanilla

Had the crepe. Was very disappointed as there was very little taste of lemon and hardly any maple syrup. Definitely didn't manage to spread either to the edges of either crepe so we're very dry. Was my first visit and certainly not in a hurry to make a return visit. So disappointed as menu has some great photos.

I love their scoop shakes.I have noticed tremendous change in texture and consistency recently. Which is absolutely a disaster. It won't taste like earlier. Disappointed!!

Very good milkshake and service was quite fast. Staff were not very happy but other than that would recommend if you fancy something sweet!

I love creams and have been before but on mine and my boyfriend's anniversary, we went here and had waffles and they were just a bit disappointing. They were lukewarm and very big compared to how much ice cream we got. I would recommend creams but not the waffles

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Been here twice now and both times it wasn't open when it said it would be. Stupidly late opening times, and even when they're supposed to be open, they aren't. No signs on the doors to explain why they're closed. Total let down! Ruined our trips to Dorchester!

The food and location is wonderful but the service i received was appalling. There was a very large teenage staff member who was rude and eating the products. I would have rated more but he put me off my food.

Great variety on the menu. Gorgeous ice xreams and shakes. Polite staff. Only thing I will say is if it was bigger, more tables etc they would easily fill it. Love the decor and the fact they have movies playing most of the time.

First time ive been and to be honest i wont be rushing back. Pricey in my opinion. To be charged £1 for 1, yes 1 ferrero rocher as a "topping" is taking tje proverbial!

It was delicious and a very special treat for the children. Perfect for birthdays or special occasions.

Food was fine however service isn't great. My son asked several times and politely for a takeaway cup for his slushie, to which he was either ignored or shunned off. He went to till area where 3 members of staff ignored him, and served people in the queue who arrived after him. When he finally got asked what he wanted he requested as follows.... "Can I please get a takeaway cup for my drink" response you'll have to order after the manager has served these customers first..... Then still got ignored. I then had to ask a waitress for it and no apology despite that fact I said he'd been ignored and stood at till for 5mins. Sort it out!!

Perfect for a sweet treat after a dinner

Average food - and that’s the most positive thing I can say about this place. When arrived, no one paid us any attention, we waited long minutes by the door though the place was practically empty. Finally somebody showed us to an empty table with an annoyed expression and complete lack of manners. Once seated, everything (table, menus) was sticky and gave a rather dirty, rundown impression. Long wait for our orders (brought by a waiter who should really use some deodorant…), everything is overpriced. We won’t be back.

Got the Knickerbocker Glory Sundae, which was ok. I'm still not really sure how to process what happened... The guy brought over our desserts and we started to eat them, as you do, and then after about 5 minutes the guy comes up (no gloves on) and goes "I'm sorry, I forgot to put banana on it" and before I can say anything, he puts the banana on my sundae and just walks off...

Nice waffles pancakes and coffee here staff very friendly and welcoming.

Very good gluten free and vegan options. What you'd expect from a Creams store. Feels very American dessert diner which I think is the point but just not my preference but no fault of the Dorchester branch as thats just the chain. Lovely staff here. Keep going back as the waffles are too nice.

Waited a while to be seated but wasnt too busy inside. Poor young girl was trying to sort out a missed order. All looked young and unsure what to do. Weren't being managed or helped. Got our food which was all lovely. Could see behind the counter and the floor 🤮 after the rush was done, they stood away chatting instead or cleaning there work spaces!

Great service, wait time was short and the waffles were delicious. A bit pricey but for the amount you get, its justified :)

Always fun to bring the kids and "big kids" for after cinema treat.

Waffle was late arriving and undercooked, second time round was okay. Staff were polite.

In store toilets closed to customers, managed to mess up a simple order... First visit, probably our last too sadly.

I bought a creams delivery from Deliveroo and I was very unimpressed. I’d wanted to try getting from here for a while and finally did only to wish I hadn’t wasted my money. It is very over priced for small portions.. the ice cream isn’t really like ice cream and tastes of nothing. Mostly I was disappointed at the size of the pudding for the money it cost... I must say there thick shakes are delicious!! If we ever order from there again we won’t get the puddings.. rather pick something up better and cheaper from Waitrose we will only order from there to buy the shakes. 👍🏻

Nice atmosphere and a wide range of delicious, sindae, waffles, crepes and shakes.

Always enjoy a Creams, though find the takeaway menu a bit limited. Rather eat in as you get more choice. Prices have increased a lot since first started eating here though - its now a rare treat rather than a usual place to go just for dessert. Still delicious though!

Fast service , friendly and well organised. Host asked you to use track and trace if not you had to leave your name and number.

Visited last night for a birthday treat. Deserts were absolutely amazing, so well done for that.However, the cleanliness of the toilet room left a lot to be desired. It didn't look like it had seen a cloth in weeks and the bin was overflowing.Sadly, staff were not in the slightest bit bothered about customers wearing masks either. We felt very nervous when we left having to brush past queuing people without masks and there was a group of about 8 people sat where the queue was and only half of them were masked too.Overall we enjoyed our indulgence but would be put off going again during covid as measures need to be more stringent.

Was so looking forward to taking my 6 yr old and her friend for an afternoon treat for her birthday as I had heard about their delicious menu. On arrival, track and trace..excellent, but then it went a bit downhill. 🤔. Queues to order, very difficult to social distance. No children’s menu available...don’t know why! so had to pay full price, then our 4 desserts arrived individually over the space of around 15-20 minutes. After we had finished eating, the children’s slush puppies arrived, which were more like strawberry water with bits of ice. Only 1 staff member wearing a mask, no evidence of hand sanitizer, staff moved from cutting fruit to attending to customers paying and back again without cleaning hands or equipment. We were even given spoons which the waitress picked out of the container using the spoon head rather than the handle. Menu was extensive and very tempting but quite pricey although it was ok for a birthday treat. But overall the experience left us disappointed.

Dreadful attitude by staff. The person in charge was rude and the staff were not able to cope with the half-term crowds. Quite frankly they turned away so much business due to their lack of organisation. Won't be setting foot in the place again. They never even served us, despite being there for 20 mins. The staff refused to take our order because they were "too busy!!"

Visited here with my partner and his daughters huge portions and very efficient staff and service very clean and reasonably priced for waffles and ice cream large range of options including create your own I noticed gluten free choices were available but I didn’t see the menu for those hardly for a healthy eating option but fun for a treat!

If you got a sweet tooth, you have to go! Little bit pricey but when you go out for food you expect it, staff always seem happy and welcoming

Went in on a Saturday midday. 5 children and 2 adults. Seated by a nice young lady. She explained the menu. And how to order etc. We had 7 drinks and 7 children size desserts, it came to £60. At the time I thought omg £60 on milk shakes and icecream! But in the grand scheme of things. It's an "experience" and a rare treat. Had we been in a restaurant and had 7 puddings and 7 drinks. It wouldnt have been much less! The food was really lovely! Plenty of it. Even from the kids menu. We were served at a reasonable time..and all the staff we came across were polite, helpful. And cheerful. My only negative of the place was the toilet. Wasnt dirty as such. But the sink looks loose on the wall. The locks loose. Just generally needs sorting. We'd happily return.

Partner and I went and had pancakes and waffles. Lovely. But disappointed I paid £7 for a waffle with a bit of ice cream on top. Staff were so moody and didn’t even bloody smile at me or anyone else. Wonder round like someone aha a gun to their head.Lovely place and setting just need happier staff.

Horrendous staff. Girl stood behind the still making stupid noises, a lot of families had picked up on it and I am certainly not coming back. Nothing worse than trying to have a nice day out go to get a treat and there’s a quite grown up girl making stupid noises like she’s 3 and laughing her head off about it. Childish!

Came here for a family birthday treat. Wouldn’t again. Bathroom was dirty, hadn’t been cleaned for hours. The floor, dirty in the main area and the floor had stuff all over it. Overall hygiene of the place, very poor and not a hair net or glove in sight by the staff.Half the food came out in 10 minutes, the rest in half hour after ordered which made no sense? Did question this and the staff rude!! No one had a name badge on, probably so they can’t be held accountable. Spoke to who I believe was the manager who said there was a wait and tough. Over 40 minutes for a chocolate crepe in a place like this, nah!Food was average, overpriced artificial and not the best. I had a sundae and it wasn’t the best, wouldn’t eat from here again. Coffee taste like pis* and I guess I don’t actually have anything nice to say.

Staff member Josie Hurley at the Dorchester Creams made us feel very welcome, amazing service and took control of the place during peak business times. Very impressive! Would be appreciated if you could pass on my thanks. :-)

Good service, reasonable prices

Arrived and managed to get a table straight away. The menus we were given were filthy and the table needed wiping. After ordering, it wasn’t a long wait till our order arrived. The order came out wrong so had to ask for them to sort it. Asked for an additional ice cream cone which was bought over to us in someone’s bare hand, no napkin or glove etc. The ice cream we had was ok but nothing to shout about. Expensive for average food. Only one toilet which was not clean and tidy. Will give this place a miss in the future.

We waited a good five minutes to be seated even though the place was half empty. Another 15 min til we got our shakes. £17 for one sundae and two regular milk shakes ! How do these places stay in business charging such silly prices ? Hot and dark too . Go somewhere else with your money .

We've tried to visit Creams this Tuesday for family event (daughter's birthday) . However, despite the fact they were supposed to be open from 12 (and we arrived at 12:30), we were informed by a staff member that it will be another 30 minutes, before the would actually take customers in. Appoling! So Do Not Recommend!

Had a great visit, with good food! The whole experience was made extra special by the staff members Sarah C and Jess O they had exceptional customer service! We felt very welcome. Will be returning soon :)

Did not expect a great deal after reading reviews but was certainly pleased we went to try the ice cream and waffles. Service was ok bearing in mind the age of the staff and place itself is clean and comfortable with fresh décor. The food came quickly after ordering and we were surprised at the size of the waffles which were accompanied by very nice ice cream or whipped cream, they were already dripping in other sauces. certainly took some eating and not a place to go if on a diet. Not bargain prices but you certainly seem to get what you pay for and overall I felt price matched the product, have paid the same for a dessert a third of the size with a meal before. We shall return I'm sure.

First time in my life that I have requested an ice cream and subsequently been told that I have to pay extra for the cone!

Popped in after dinner for waffles to take home, the waffle was amazing! the young lady on the till needs a little more training to maximise sales, after convincing us that one waffle between three adults would be enough and looking very disapprovingly at us for suggesting we order two!!

Visited with children. We were welcomed quickly and shown to a table. The service was quick. Nice, clean environment and decor - lots of tasty choices.

After a very stressful week for my son and his friends doing there SATS we decided to bring them to creams for a treat !!

After a disappointing meal in Nando’s we decided to spend our money else where for dessert. I highly recommend the honey come cheese cake. Wayyy better than the one you get a prezzos and it comes with Mr wippy type ice cream. Will be going for that again

The restaurant has a fun vibe to it and the portions are huge. They had no problem bringing us glasses of water to sit and chat over once the desserts had been eaten.

Ordered two scoops of IceCream in a glass which was chocolate and then Malteser both were yummy .. but I agree with the other comments £5 for two scoops and not interested staff .. needs a better experience otherwise they’ll lose custom xxx

Over priced low to middle quality food. Waffles not great and weird consistency. Staff not very friendly and gave impression they couldn’t be bothered. Disappointed and won’t be coming back.

The wife and I called into creams at about 9PM. We were seated quite quickly and order quite quickly but then no one else was really there that time of night.The food arrived quickly and was well presented. The staff working looked tired like they had a busy night but the customer service levels did not drop. We will definitely be visiting again

great food and delicious flavours but ran by kids with no training or customer service skills. The lad forgot to put my syrup in my coffee so bought the whole bottle over to the table and poured it in! They also told my friend they had ran out of apple pie but had some frozen, she said this was ok but they absolutly cremated it and came out looking like apple crumble! It was hilarious just how bad it looked. Something you would never serve in a restaurant!

On the door said it was meant to open at 11:30 today and at 11:30 there wasn't even any movement inside :( very disappointed children don't think I'll be attempting it again :(

This is my second experience of creams first time we tried it the place was filthy with flys flying around the place sticky stuff all over the floor and the restaurant was empty.It looked like a tip.We were given wat we believe was nuttela and was told it wasn’t,however they did replace.My icecream sundae was bought out dripping everywhere and the guys fingers looked like they were in it.The second time of visiting we were a little late and fair enough they didn’t want us sitting in however if your open till 10pm I don’t think 9.35 is too bad.We all choose our ice creams to takeaway but one of my daughters went to ask for a waffle and all we heard from a female member of staff is YOU ARE JOKING.This upset my young daughter and made her not want to have hers.It was a treat for her birthday and that is not acceptable to say for customers to hear.The guy that was serving us was clearly embarrassed by her.I complained to creams as I don’t think that this was acceptable and ruined a birthday treat but they didn’t bother to respond.

We asked the waitress for tap water. She said ok and left. On her return we were told sorry there was none as the tap was broken but they had bottled water for sale

Went in for a nice family outing and was sat there for at least 30 minutes before we walked out. Service is rubbish, we came in before 3 tables and they all got served yet we didn’t even get a menu, absolute disappointment.

Really disappoint, took my son here after finishing college. Really disappointed, 3 members of staff, one serving all, one with head in her hands & one who seemed to be in charge kicking boxes around. Tables dirty, toilets in a terrible state, will not be returning.

Popped in for an after dinner treat with my two girls tonight. Not very busy but service was slow due to the 3 girls behind the counter talking about their love life’s! Loads of flies in there and I wish they’d bring over all of the table’s deserts at the same time. Nice food but quite pricey.

I came here as part of a birthday celebration and had been concerned about what to expect considering other reviews.

Came here on a Sunday evening for a desert. It wasn't that busy so we were seated very quickly.

Came in on Saturday with some friends and we struggled to find some seats and was in a rush but we were treated very well by a young man called Kristan who helped us with our Order and our questions. Will be coming back soon :)

We booked ahead for 5 and were seated promptly.

Went with a couple of mates and one of them had to cut his crepe with a spoon as the knife weren’t sharpe enough to cut and there were multiple flys around when we were trying to eat!

We’d been for dinner on mother’s day and decided to go to creams for dessert. We arrived at 4.12pm ordered a cappacino, a crepe and an ice cream. 4.24 we got the cappacino then at 4.38 I got my Ice cream. Then at 4.44 we got the crepe. All three of us got our orders miles apart. My mother had finished her coffee, I was half way through my ice cream before the crepe arrived for my sister. I complained and got the most nonchalant unsincere apology. In fact the apology for the service was made whilst he walking away from us.

Went with friends and were there when ir opened. My wife went and ordered and paid, drinks were there pretty quick but the waffles and crepes came along at 5-2

These guys were kind enough to let us in just after closing on a Sunday night so we could have a cookie dough dessert. Any business that does that deserves an excellent review in my opinion. We have been there before and yes it is quite expensive but that seems to be the going rate in these types of places these days. The desserts are lush - what more do you need?

I took my children for a reward ice cream. We were met quickly at the door and seated - all seemed to be going well. First impressions were quite good.

I have been to creams twice with my daughter. I loved the look of the place and the food. But it is very expensive (£7 for 2 milkshakes). The first time, we got two ice creams, i had it in a cup and my daughter had it in a cone. Mine (in the cup) was about three times smaller than my daughters when we both asked for one scoop each. Next time I will ask for a cone! Despite that, the actual ice cream was amazing. The waffles are good to but the milkshakes are the best. I will go there again but only with my ice cream in a cone!!!

Excellent quality deserts well made and staff friendly. Very busy however clean and tidy and well presented .

Booked two films for New Year's Eve at the cinema next door. Had 40 minutes between films and wanted somewhere for a coffee. Ended up having strawberry waffle and decaf latte. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Served by a northern chap: very chatty and friendly. To be honest, I am surprised at the other reviews about Creams - we were really impressed by the quality of the food, the speed with which it arrived and MOSTLY, how friendly the staff were. And it was 7.30pm on New Year's Eve.

We visited creams as a family treat after the cinema. My daughter's ice cream came out first, very good couldn't fault it. 10 minutes later my waffle turned up, apple and cinnamon, tasted lovely right up until I found a 12inch long hair running through the whole thing. Credit to the waitress she said she'd replace it. Another 5 minutes passed until my wife's turned up, again tasted lovely. Finally my replacement turned up, minus one lot of the ice-cream as the machine was now empty. This would apparently follow, it didn't but no big deal I said, just refund me the £2.25 I paid for additional scoop. Wow you'd have thought the world had ended, can't do that I ate that one, the other one is free, we all know nothing is free. I said if that's the case refund me the whole plate as it had a hair in it. No they replaced it. Half way through trying to negotiate this the supervisor stormed off, not to be seen again. Then tried to talk to someone in the till who said they could refund 45p for a whippy ice-cream. Had lost the will to live by now and left it. Not so much as one apology for anything.

It seems that this place is run by people that really don’t care about customers and the staff working couldn’t really be more less interested in being there.

I agree with the other bad reviews. Waited over 30 mins for 2 tiny sundaes (£7.90 and £7.45 each). Squirty cream from a can replaced the vanilla ice cream they had run out of. I asked why not just use another flavour? They said that that is what they had been told to do. No apology. Just poor quality ice cream and a bit of sauce (and canned cream!) No atmosphere in the place, just grumpy parents and even grumpier kids waiting for their food! Waste of time and money. Avoid.

Have wanted to visit here for months and was slightly disappointed, we were sat next to a huge kids party, who were of course noisy ... only one toilet for everyone , I didn’t like the menu as it was so busy with colour and it was a big menu that I found it hard to read .. so I just had two scoops of ice cream in a dish .. the taste was amazing and very creamy .. would recommend and will return , but I won’t rush too xx

Wow I have never experienced such a disappointing place, the staff looked and acted like robots with no emotion especially the server molly, who also lied about dealing with my food that never came out to me even though I waited over 30mins.

It’s a well fitted out desert outlet , Big choice of ice creams , deserts , mid range prices , nice ice cream but not outstanding

We went here for a birthday treat. As suggested in the menu we downloaded their ap and tried to use a voucher we were given for a few scoop of ice cream, the staff couldn't get the voucher to work and could we come back another day to use it, rather than trying to find a solution. It was a bit annoying but not the end of the world. The ice cream selection is great and very nice and my little boy was thrilled. Some of our group had pancakes, they were very tough and seemed like they had been microwaved rather than cooked fresh. The waffle was the biggest let down, it was full of egg shells. When we told the waitress she took it away and made no apology, in fact no one acknowledged it and I had to go and ask for a refund when we left. I still got no apology except for the fact she was struggling to work the till. Definitely won't go back.

6 of us visited one Saturday, the decor was meant to be American diner, it was, however, just dark and dismal. Our party was 4 adults and two children, we ordered 4 cones and 2 bowls of ice cream - each portion was brought to the table individually meaning that the first person was finishing their cone before the last one even got served. One bowl of ice-cream had obviously been sitting so long it was melting so it had to go back - more waiting.... Will not go again even though the ice cream was quite nice, what a shame and perhaps the staff could smile once in a while?

Waited 30 minutes for our waffle to come out then another 20 minutes later the pancakes arrived they were not very busy and appeared to have enough staff. I will not go back.

Visited recently and had the cookie dough and ice cream... Wow, tasted amazing. The restaurant area is a bit dark for me so we did take away instead, still lovely though! Really nice and will definitely return for that reason.

Stopped for an ice cream with my daughter, I had the bubble waffle with nut ice cream which was really nice and she had a kids sundae, cost the best part of £11 for the 2. Was good as a treat

Went on a Saturday morning, there was only one other table of people. You have to be waited to be seated, which you presume it is waitress service, but after 15 minutes we discovered you place your order at the till, which isn't very clear... Then another 20 minutes before we have a 2 scoop ice cream bought to us, then 10 minutes after that coffees arrive. Coffee was ok, grandson enjoyed his ice cream but it is just average... Just could do with more clear notice telling you to order at the counter and if you are in a rush then be prepared for a wait...

Stood in queue for 5 minutes only for some rude people to deliberately push in. Server responded by saying didn't see you there. No apology and no attempt to serve the people in the queue. Will not step inside on of these places again. Walked out without an ice cream with my 3 children!

Fantastic in every way . Amazing choice with such a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are very cheerful and helpful. This will suit everyone what ever your age . Will be back very soon

Have been here a number of times because our children always enjoy an ice cream from here but I cannot bare it! Every time I go in I vow to never go in again. It takes at least 5 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge you once you have walked in, even though your hanging around the till waiting for some service. When one of the members of staff does eventually serve you, you'll lucky to even get a 'hello' let alone alone a smile!

This is a horrible place with staff with such a bad attitude. My family and I wanted a well earned treat and tried to get some reward points and the staff hade no clue of the system and when I asked her to right her name down on the receipt because the assistant manager couldn't find our codes and she refused

Came at 9pm, waited about 20minutes and was well worth the wait! Ultimate choclate bubble pop waffle was lush! Shared it tho was way to big for just me after a meal, staff quick and friendly and clean, woukd come again and recommend
