Masala in Gosport

Have used this takeaway for 20yrs and its never let me down. Im not a korma/tikka masala fan, I always opt for spicy currys like Naga, Garlic Chilli Chicken or Chef Recommendations with extra heat and always enjoyed everything.

Ordered online, after an hour called in gave my address and was told it was due to be delivered. Another half an hour later and this time I'm told they don't have an order for me. So why tell me they did the first time??? I'll never order from here again, there are plenty of other options

As an Indian i used to try different Indian restaurants in Fareham & Gosport (i am living local )i am very disappointed for choosing this restaurant . The food is not worth the money. I have ordered 3 tandoori chicken biriyani which only had a few shreds of chicken in it. It can’t be called as a chichen biriyaani. There are so many Indian restaurants in this area. I wont suggest this to anyone.

Good family run takeaway no dining option but when delivered it’s always piping hot . Lovely staff all round and reasonably priced . Will be back again thank you

I ordered lamb tikka masala. Was the worst I have ever had. The masala sauce was like tomato spaghetti sauce. No curry flavour at all. The lamb was hard. I also ordered garlic naan. This was nasty. No flavour. No garlic and dry. And the price was quiet expensive. I will never return.w

Very good, left a bad review last time as thoght I was being let down and food not turning up. Was actually me forgetting to add house number to address, got through to restaurant and they were great, great service and thanks for great food!

I ordered the CTM. The sauce was very watery and the chicken was very dry. My wife had the prawn cocktail and left most of it. I won't be ordering from here again.

Food was awful quality- naan bread like dough, popadoms chewy and old, curry watery and onion bhaji tasteless! First and last time using this takeaway

Absolutely amazing food. I stupidly ordered the wrong item but the restaurant were brilliant and sent me to correct item within 15 minutes. Fantastic 😁

Starters awful- onion bahjai overcooked and so dry they were inedible, mint sauce sour, Popadoms were soft. Mains- average. Not much flavour or chicken. Coconut rice very nice, best bit of the meal. Was left hungry and disappointed

i think this is the first time ive used massala, ordered the chicken tikka massala and garlic fried rice nans ect. upon arrival it looked a little watery in the plastic tray however, it was absolutely spot on, very tasty sauce, chicken wasnt dried to death, really good would definately use them again

The food is always excellent from Masala. I order the House Special as you can't order it elsewhere. It's so delicious and I can't recommend it enough.

Curry sauce split in the bag and very bland and dull tasting

So so good. I love Indian food and wouldn’t go elsewhere. The puree, sag ponir, Bombay aloo so good even the pilau fresh and fluffy. Veg Pakoras were also 👌🏻

Sad to be writing a negative review but it really wasn't a good meal . Ordered a madras but what we got didn't taste like madras at all, it was very sweet and sour almost, with very little spice 👎. The chicken itself was rubbery and dry. It's never happened with masala before , hoping a once off. Sagaloo and other potato was tasty. Delivery on time and food arrived hot 👍

My go to for Indian takeaway to years. Very friendly. Food always consistently good.

Bhajis we’re soggy , poppadoms we’re soft asked for 2 mango got one and curry was chalky

Minimal chicken in both main dishes so disappointed when paying 28.00 … unlikely to order in future as cost vs quantity is poor ….

lovely food,korma was lovely full of flavour and a good amount of chicken,rice was nice ,kids nuggets and chips were a little chewy.

We've had 4 takeaways from here and they have all been really good, tasty dishes at a reasonable price.

Chicken Tikka masala main, 5 small pieces of chicken total!!!!! Popadom like rubber discs and Bombay Potato just boiled potato with no flavour. Rice was hard and crunchy. Terrible terrible meal.

Had a meal before it was lovely but this time mine and my husbands curries had a horrible very sweet taste that was not there before same curries disappointed

The portions are misrepresented on the menu. Phoned the business and were just defensive , nothing offered

Curry’s weren’t too bad but ordered a bag of chips and they were inedible, well what was there. Paid £2.50 for less than 20 chips and those chips were burnt and could smash a window!

Not sure what happened tonight but curries were tasteless, onion bhaji was rock solid, couldn’t even bite in to it and no onion salad

Food was average, Paneer Pasanda not bad; cheese was decent and the lamb tikka was very good, but the Korma sauce was disappointingly bland. Chicken pakora was tough and dry. Garlic and keema naan were very good. Delivery prompt and friendly.

The Rogan Josh was inedible and just full of oil

First time ordering, didn’t enjoy it. Curry was really oily and greasy. Chips were soggy and cold. Onion bhaji’s were overcooked and rock solid, popadoms were stale. Overall rubbish meal.

I like Masala, usually very good food, exceptional service, quick delivery, and on the back of past experience I'd still recommend them (after the New Bengal). Today, not so much, great service and acceptable delivery as usual, but the food wasn't up to their usual high standards. Usual order, chicken korma and chicken madras with mishroom rice, coupla onion bhajis and some poppadoms. Korma was great, rice was good, bhajis good, but the madras was super oily this time (I tipped about 1/5 of the sauce in the bin) and didn't have its usual great flavour, and the poppadoms were last night's and very stale. Like I said, usually I review Masala very well, love the food there. Not sure why it hasn't hit the mark ths time, but I hope it's back to their normal standard next time.

Ordered a pasanda, received a tikka masala. Garlic bread was super doughy and had to bake in the oven. Overall not terribly impressed.

Friendly delivery driver. Food arrived nicely plenty of chicken, veg rice had plenty of veg . Very tasty curry sauce was just right not too thick or runny. Great service

Food was excellent but 15 minutes late

Just had our first curry delivered straight to our door from here. Best Indian we've had for a while. Complimentary bombay potatoes and poppadoms, lovely touch. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Food was nice, arrived hot. Chicken also lovely not dry like most, fell apart. Only think that's really disappointing is ordering chips at £3 and not even half a bag!!. Very annoying when this is to go between children with their curry.

Would have been fine if the bottle of coke had come with the order. The driver came back with a can, waiting for the bottle.

Some of the food was cold. Food tasted ok. Meal was 45 minutes late having requested a delivery for 1945 order placed at 1820. I contacted Masala at 2010 all I got was "We're busy and an apology and the order is on the way." Not impressed will not be ordering from them again.

The food wasn’t very hot not sure if this was because it was late and the whole meal was very bland:( again not sure if was because it was so late it was rushed , korma wasn’t creamy what so ever just had hardly any taste at all to the meal

As always good food and was hot on delivery. Was unfortunately 20 minutes late, with no notifications - but was worth the wait.

Have used Masala in the past and it was good. But last night was poor and expensive as well. Very little chicken between the 2 currys and the smallest portion of chips ever. Tasted ok but nothing special.

Tasty food, well cooked and delivered on time. Will definitely use again.
