Masala in Nottingham

Food was lovely as normal however 1 of the dishes had managed to spill out of the container making a fair bit of mess, and waste, will not prevent us using again though as the food is always lovely

I’m really sorry masala but tonight’s meal was not great. I normally love the food from your restaurant but tonight we are really disappointed. The bhuna was really runny, the saag paneer had the strangest taste, chips were so sweet as well as the chilli paneer. It really was hard to stomach. I had to throw most away. Im sorry, the last two times I’ve ordered from you it’s been lovely, I don’t know what’s happened tonight. It still cost me almost £40 with discount, I was so looking forward to it as well.

Long story short - i ordered & collected - realised they'd missed off the rice, called them, they delivered rice - I also realised I'd ordered the wrong curry ( totally my fault) but they offerd to change it & redelivered. Amazing customer service & fantastic staff - And oh the food was outstanding as well. My new favourite 😍

Not from Clifton so ordering from some where I haven’t before was daunting but I was pleasantly surprised, karma was so creamy and flavorful, chips was delicious and soft and the nan bread was so soft and everything was hot and beautiful, the delivery man was so friendly and welcoming so when I visit my mum again and we fancy a curry we’ll definitely order here again!

Food is always bang on, very satisfied each time we’ve been. Fairly priced for the quality. Front of house chap always seems genuinely happy to help and cracks a smile. One time saw the chef in the back whistling away while chopping onions! Superb local take away 👌🏻

Two hour wait for food after being told a 40 minute wait. Numerous calls, only to be told "food is on its way, just around the corner". Food not "around the corner". Never again. Had a great meal from Captain Cod. Captain Cod highly recommended

My favorite takeaway the food is always of a very high quality, I've tried many different dishes and been very happy with everything, it's cooked with love and presented beautifully!! The chef special butter chicken tikka is outstanding. Best curry I’ve ever had. Brilliant garlic and cheese naan and delivered on time. Honestly wow!

I'm a regular at Masala Takeaway and have always been a fan of their food – it’s consistently been really good. But I had a bit of a concern with my last order. I found a small metal piece in the Chilli Chips, which looked like it could be part of a hairclip. I mentioned this to the takeaway, not looking for a refund, but to make sure they were aware. I felt my concerns weren’t fully heard, though they did respond with a refund offer. I thought it was worth mentioning because I really like this place and want to keep coming back. Just hoping this was a one-time thing and they’ll keep an eye out in the future.

I have taken Naan and chicken curry. They said it was spicy but it was not that spicy at all. But while eating I can feel the home country india. Taste was good and overall I liked it recommended for non veg lovers and students who miss their Indian food.

Our curries were great, chicken biryani and chick n masala, as was the starter. Walked past for years first time today.

After moving to the area recently and trying a few takeaways, Masala is by far our favourite. Delicious, consistent quality every time, friendly drivers and helpful staff when we've dealt with the restaurant directly. Very happy and won't be going anywhere else now we've found this gem.

Sent us the wrong food initially. Told the driver it was wrong as noticed missing naan bread but he was very confused. Had to chase with restaurant and the man came by to drop off the correct one.

ordered 2x Karahi, Chicken Tikka + Pilau Rice. i dont know why but the food from here, the last couple of times have been a bit poor. They been putting loads of sauce which seems to be almost been like jelly and too much salt in the food and not enough solid ingredients.

My household love all the food from Masala, it is so, so delicious. Tonnes of veggie options to mix and match too. Great service all round. Will come back time and time again. Top recommendations from my household: Chilli paneer, Tarka daal, Begare baingan, Garlic chilli chicken, Kashmiri chicken tikka and literally any breads. Honestly every dish is amazing.

Didn't turn up in time quoted on a Tuesday night. Rang up and said we placed an order over an hour ago and my partner got "yep it's on its way darling" then hung up. Terrible customer service and awful wait time

ordered on cheeky tuesday so had - 5.19 discount Palak, Chicken 11.50 Bhuna, Chicken 11.50 Pilau Rice 2.95 Total 23.46 was nice but not nearly £29 nice just for 2 and without nan bread

First time we’ve ordered from here. The food was excellent (way above average) and great value for money. They forgot the poppadoms but no hassle at all when I called, they arranged re deliver within minutes. Fantastic service

The food was sadly inedible due to the huge amount of salt in all of the dishes. This is highly irregular as we always buy from this takeaway and it’s usually delicious. Sadly disappointed.

The pasanda was not how I was expecting it. Very spicy, watery.

Food was not very hot, poppadoms were overcooked, otherwise OK, well packed and clean. This is my second try at masala, sadly I won't be back for a third time. They're better than a lot but not good enough to make them a regular. Hopefully, this encourages them to take more care.

As takeaways go? 'Twas rather tasty. Texture good. Very disappointed that the three dips were placed on their side. All were a smear on the bag. I still tried. And tasty. Lamb chops? Three rather good. T'other? A limp thing without a decent bone. Can't explain the disjunctive. Haven't yet tasty the bread. Seems overpriced for size. But I expect it'll be on the better side as this place seems. Would happily recommend. (My criticisms are minor. As you can see. More recommendations.)

Thank you guys! Food was lovely, hot and plenty of flavours. Lamb was tender in both of my curry dishes. Only suggesting I have is tomato paste was over powering in my rogan josh, needs a bit less for other spices to stand out. Will order again!

This was our third takeaway from Masala. It arrived on time, was piping hot and delicious. The chicken was really tender with plenty of vegetables in the sauce. I enjoyed my methi and my partner enjoyed his balti.

The only reason for the item quality was that I was missing my pilau rice from the order which was very disappointing. The food we had was very nice and arrived hot. I was told I would get a refund for the rice so I’ll wait and see if this happens

I regularly order from here but was disappointed tonight when I opened my order to see very sticky wet rice and the onion Bhaji was the same, wet and soggy isn’t great.

It was saturday so it came late, that's okay. But ordered 2 mains, 2 garlic bread , 1 rice. 1 garlic bread was missing. Had to phone up, while everything got cold, and wait for the other garlic bread. Don't see the point of skanking some1 for a garlic bread... honest mistake>? It's a simple order. Usually good , but as happens all the time, usual customer , the food and service gets worse the more times you order. Recommended to new customers
