Absolutely outstanding establishment. Amazing friendly staff with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is also dog friendly to be honest with you that is an major plus aswell for me. Also the toilets are immaculately clean. Can't recommend Martino lounge enough. We will be back.

This offered a warm welcome for dinner. The menu is quite extensive and includes tapas dishes. You order and pay at the bar and staff bring the food to the table. I thought the menu was reasonably priced and the food was nicely presented and tasted good. Would definitely return here when next in Morpeth

Called in for a drink before going to a local restaurant and decided to stay as the place was clean and the service attentive. Stayed for a meal which was fine and no complaints. The only thing I would say is that it was quite cold and the the decision to return on Monday will be put on hold until it warms up.

Lovely decor inside , although you never seem to be away from the door and the kitchen. Not all that keen on having to order from the bar and then pay as you go. The food was very average and microwaved. So the curry was stodgy. If I’m honest it was ok but it’s really just a ‘spoons but more expensive. I wouldn’t go back for food but maybe a drink. I’ll try breakfast in the summer as it has a good outside space but not for dinner again. The staff were nice but not proactively helpful.

Thought we would try it out with coffee and cake. Waited to be seated for 5-10 mins not even an acknowledgement that we were waiting. There was loads of free table that did not appear to be reserved. We eventually approached a member of staff who suggested we sat anywhere. You order at the bar and had to wait for about 10 mins to be served even though there was only 1 person ahead of us. Generally the place is interestingly decorated and a few people in coffee was fine nothing special. However feel management need to do some training re floor staff. We often call in somewhere for coffee before we have food to get a feel of the place. Not sure we will be back in a hurry

Food is fine. Bit expensive for what it is but no complaints on taste. Service is not great. Have had issues with drinks orders being forgotten about and wrong drinks both. Maybe just teething issues but has happened on two separate occasions with different groups of people.

Visited here a few times now and put off eating here because of other customers letting their dogs sit on the furniture the customers have to sit on but not only that let’s just feed the dogs from the table… watched today one member of staff petting the dogs and then go back to serving food and setting tables but didn’t wash their hands!! Love dogs but wish Morpeth had a bar / restaurant that didn’t allow them.. won’t be back.. is this a customer problem or can’t management control it??

Our first time at martino lounge and i must say i was impressed by the staff ,only 2 of us but we wanted a bigger table so we got a table for 4 and nothing was too much trouble for staff, went for big breakfast which was 15 quid but the quality of sausage and bacon was nice only downside rather prefer normal mushrooms instead of button mushrooms and my fried eggs wernt runny(slight moan lol) ...my wifes dish was nice she said ...overall I'd defo go back and try other things on menu .

Had my first visit last week - the Gluten Free menu is the best I've seen in a long time with so many choices! The food was lovely, and arrived with GF.flags and an assurance that it had been checked. Will definitely return.

New to Morpeth and was looking for an all day breakfast. All the top rated Cafes stopped serving by 11:30am, so had a wander and discovered the Martino lounge. I was flying solo as my half term was different to the rest of my family, so I am unaccustomed to eating alone. But from being taken to my table, to ordering my ADB (with a few swaps allowed) to being served, all the staff were friendly and helpful. I also noted an extra poached egg was included. All the food was tasty and hot. My pot of tea made 3 full cups and I left Happy and full. If and when I return to Morpeth, I will bring the whole family.

Only put average due to my Lamb Curry which was lacking in the meat department, only a few small pieces of lamb and at over £13 not good enough even though it was tasty. My wife and daughters Burgers were very good.

A pleasant visit to a quirky and imaginative establishment. It covers quite a big space with lots of various types of seating from comfy to traditional. The walls display a variety of art and murals. The major issue for me was the way noise reverberates...

I'm on record as having said on many occasions that if they awarded PhDs for scone-tasting, I should have a dozen. I've eaten scones in venues from the Orkney Islands to Australia and written about them in more publications than I could possibly remember. So, you can take my word for it that the freshly-baked, home-made scones (with butter and strawberry jam) at No.6 are quite possibly the best I've tasted in recent years. Cafe No 6 is a quaint place with a very atmospheric first-floor eating area, a delightful owner and staff who look like they are actually enjoying the job they do. My wife and I were just as impressed with the special 'doggy menu' on offer. We shall be back!

I’m so sad to see this lovely place closed. It had great staff and atmosphere and a fantastically good smoked haddock chowder. I wish its people all the best and I thank them for all the great visits we’ve had here. I really hope that there might be a replacement cafe of such quality. We’ll watch with interest.

We stopped by chance at The Percy Arms for a drink and ended up eating an amazing meal-Wednesday afternoon and very quiet but the food was delicious and the service excellent. The soup was very tasty and the steak cooked to perfection - we will return!

Having been for a lovely meal a year ago we promised ourselves Christmas lunch this year. It was not cheap - £240 for 2 but we expected a nice experience so didn't mind. On arrival I was offered a drink and a waitress on her way back to the kitchen offered a left over canape. They said they were bringing more out but these never appeared - my husband didn't get one at all. There was nowhere to sit in the hall and as I struggle to stand for any length I had to ask about being seated. There was nowhere to hang coats except on the back of the dining chair canteen style. Please note we had been to The Grand Tynemouth the previous day and coats had been taken and hung on a rail. The room was undecorated for Christmas and cramped. We were sat at a very feeble table that seemed to have been assembled that morning-very rickety. After about 10 minutes a bread roll was brought. Great we thought food is coming. 20 minutes later the starter arrived. Considering we had pre'ordered early in December it should have been more organised. The starter we chose -pate- came with a very strange slice of bread? That I can only liken to jamaica ginger cake - not at all compatible. Then followed a long wait for the plates to be collected. No sign of a drinks waiter we had been there almost an hour. We eventually caught a chap who had delivered drinks to a nearby table and he did serve us. Dinner finally arrived - and I can tell you it wasn't just us. We were all looking around wondering what was happening. Nearly 45 minutes later. The dinner itself was not pleasant and definitely not worth the £240 cost. The roasts were not crisp. The turkey appeared to be pressed meat. The stuffing seemed to be commercial rubbery type. To say we were disappointed does not overstate it. I wasn't prepared to wait another 30 minutes or more for a sliver of Christmas pudding. So we left. Eshott what were you doing??? The whole thing was a shambles and definitely not what we expected or anticipated. You didn't appear to have enough staff. You crammed too many people in and your chef must have had a day off. Ruined what we had been looking forward to.
