The manager off the cafe is so so rude!!! 3 times I have been she is miserable rude. She brought half my food I asked where he rest was she said she didn't know. And didn't intend to find out she makes my experience miserable every time and clearly hates her job!!!!!

Great food, quick service always hot clean and tidy. Staff always so friendly and helpful. On my own or with family a great place to eat

Been a while since we tried this cafe and haven't been impressed in the past. Is it any better? No. Expensive, poor quality food, coffee luke warm and like dishwater it's so weak, crowded, tables dirty, and very limited natural light. The only positive thing about it is no more queuing, faster and more accurate orders, thanks to order points

My friend and I meet in Camberley on the first Sunday of every month. First M&S went cashless in the Cafe, now Tescos. 4 of 7 machines not working, no way of adapting the order beyond the norms and a totally ridiculous system that frustrates me on each visit now. No menus so all visitors literally need to clog access to the machines whilst they scroll, review and decide. We've decided we are now going to meet somewhere else and take our business were cash is acceptable!

I really like the look of the new cafe. And I’m sure it would be great if you were to just want a drink. However I wouldn’t recommend going here for lunch, unless you willing to wait 45+ minutes. I was in with my dad today and we both ordered eggs on toast, he ordered a tea as well. The drink came immediately, which at first we were happy about- however since we waited around 45 minutes for the food- the tea was cold when we got the food. So pointless bringing the drinks out so fast if the food is not close behind. Lots of staff standing around not doing much. The gantry was full of plates waiting to be run, yet the staff felt more important to chat amongst themselves. A staff member in her own clothes also raised her voice at a uniformed staff member right by our table which was not only unprofessional, but out of order as the uniformed staff member had done nothing wrong.

Midday Sunday and I’ve found myself at the Tesco extra in Camberley, Savage hangover you know the score.. Only stopped to get some rizzlas but the queue at the kiosk was absolutely honking and I saw the arrow to the café pointing up the escalator and thought I’d go see what’s going on. Got up there and it’s those touch screen ordering things like you get in a maccers so I’m immediately worrying that it’s gunna be confusing but also kinda glad I don’t have to actually speak to anyone. And to be fair there was a Tesco matey stood at the side incase people needed help using it. Anyway I Ordered myself a crispy chicken burger meal, comes with slaw and fries, spoons type beat, was given the option of upgrading to waffle fries for 50p, thought yeah I’ll take em. You have to take a little tracker thing and type in the number on the tracker so they know where to bring your food. Did that little awkward looking around deciding where to sit thing where you feel like everyone is looking at you when really they’re not. I spy a row of individual tables with one guy on a table at the end of the row, and a couple on a table at the other end, so I go for the middle table so I’m not near anyone. I look around and everyone has a coffee or some kind of drink on their table and I realise I’ve not ordered a drink so I leave my tracker on the table and go back to the machines and order a decaf latte and some jammie dodger frappe thing. Looked good in the picture, but yeah, back to the table, now with two trackers, And no way.. the guy from the end of the row is now sat on the table next to mine, having a conversation with the couple at the end of the row! Do I move along one? Is that going to look rude? Should I even care? Why am I even here? Stayed where I was, even though the fact this guy was even using his cutlery close to me was irritating me. But I was locked in, two trackers on the same table, and I can see the staff bringing over my drinks. Drinks arrive, had to force myself not to fill up on the jammie frappe before my food arrived. Luckily when my food arrived the guy had just about finished his extremely annoying breakfast eating and was just chatting away. Chucked the slaw in the burger, standard, was decent to be fair. Ate a few fries and realised they’d given me regular ones even though I paid 50p for waffle fries. But absolutely no way was I about to try flag someone down to get them swapped, since I’m barely wanting to exist at this moment in time due to the hangover. Finished up, went back downstairs and somehow the queue for the kiosk was now even worse, but I need a snout even more than I did when I came in after eating so I get in line. One of the two staff on the counter goes on break leaving a queue of about 13 people to be served by one staff. And then some old lady at the front sticks a full basket of shopping in the counter like she’s in the trolley checkout. Literally felt like it took forever. And she didn’t even buy smokes! Could have just been at the regular tills. Eventually get back to my car and see that I’ve got a pre-rolled rollie already there in the ashtray! Rendering the entire experience pointless. All in all though the food was half decent and the jammie frappe was dank. Would recommend.

Worst £8.50 big breakfast ever. One egg over cooked one under bacon and sausages look so cheap. Staff are good but Tesco you need to sort it out use decent sausages and bacon stop being to tight!! Also hire a chef who can cook !!

Went to The Meadows shopping centre and stopped at Tesco Cafe for lunch. Ordered the all day breakfast and it was delicious. The service was amazing. Food came quickly and was well cooked. Kelly served us - she was polite and efficient. Some of our group just ordered the extras from the breakfast menu. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

This place seriously understaffed as they only had one person serving numerous tables. When we ordered we were given our pots of tea at the order desk but the meal didn’t turn up until half an hour later. It was cold as was our tea by this time. Will never eat in there again.

Poor quality of the food. Very disappointing as Tesco can have great products to sell on their shelves. For example, the finest burger is quite good. But the burguer served to the clients in the cafe is tasteless. Tesco's cafe charges similar prices to the M&S cafe but in terms of quality and service are way below expectations.

I took my disabled wife for a new skirt but M&S seems to have stopped selling them, so we headed for the café. The service was chaotic to say the least: with two people in front of me I waited for twenty minutes for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. The assistant was constantly dashing off for clean crockery, tea, help with the till, etc. We shan't be returning in a hurry.

We stopped for late breakfast when doing weekly shop - Tesco is next door. Food lovely and quick to be served. I had Eggs Royale, which were gorgeous; my other half had a toasted tea cake. Coffee ok; hot chocolate perfect. Recommended. If you are not familiar with the site - there’s plenty of parking and M&S has a massive food hall as well as two floors of clothes and homeware.

This place has a crazy role that you can only buy one children's meal at a time. I had to buy one and then bit the other in a separate transaction. I've never heard of anything as ludicrous. Also tried overcharging me for chocolate buttons that I clearly didn't have!

Since my previous visit this café has had a minor 'makeover'. The former counter has been blocked off and you now order from a sort of kiosk, your meals being brought out from the kitchen. The kiosk serves drinks & snacks. I enjoyed my breakfast which, although not particularly filling, was very good value for money.

I am going to add to the poor reviews sadly…. We both had the brunch- which was avocado on toast and poached eggs. the eggs were undercooked and we left them. We were told they are done in a microwave! ( they look hard boiled as seem to be cooked in the shell ??) How is this a poached egg? It’s a part boiled egg!! ( with shell then removed) Server said if they cook them more they burst. What is wrong with cooking them in hot water. Last time I order hot food here! We were ripped off! Shame on you!

Arranged to meet friends for breakfast in the M & S cafe in The Meadows. Arrived at 10am and there were already queues at the tills at least six people deep. Three staff behind the tills, in no rush, no acknowledgement or conversation. Couldn’t see a breakfast menu anywhere so we just ordered coffee’s …… It took 20 mins for four coffee’s & they were not that nice either. We had to change a teaspoon as it was dirty, tables not cleared, air conditioning on full blast and it was freezing. We will not be back, so disappointed- what has happened to you Marks and Spencer?

Whatever as happened to the coffee in the Norwich store It s very weak ! it’s awful ! Plus yes we have all noticed you have made the cups a lot smaller than they were ? I have the original medium cup at home which I purchased and it is larger that your supposed to be large cup in the cafe ! There is no coffee in the coffee so to speak not in you Norwich cafe anyway .I’m afraid I am going to have to go to costa coffee their coffee is stronger now than yours it never used to be ! Was looking forward to a nice breakfast. Staff were really nice. The food was not nice at all. Really greasy, hash browns were far to oily. Cheap sausages mushrooms were tasteless. Should have gone to weathetspoons

Well, who would have thought that M&S would be a great place to go for a lovely cup of tea and bacon butty. Well it is, I enjoyed both, very much, at M&S Camberley.

Friendly staff and delicious coffees - we enjoyed the seasonal flavours (Salted Caramel and Pralines and Cream) with whipped cream on top. Generous sizes and good value for money. Long queues even though there were plenty of staff working and it wasn't very busy.

Good food, nice place to eat, but service is dreadful and slow at the tills, once past that delivery is pretty efficient. Nice ploughman's except lettuce had seen better days.

In the alternate home of the British Army this cafe serves a wide variety of beverages and lovely food. Bustling at all times of day with lovely local people and visitors who come from afar. Great parking. Good seating and efficient service with buzzers. Open kitchen so you can see visibly the cleanliness of the facilities and expert chefs. Good coffee. Good sandwiches. Good to stop and have a chat and chill with friends and family. Children very welcome. Very family friendly. Excellent place. Tesco and M&S together make a fantastic shopping experience and this cafe is superb.

I visited the store for some shopping and decided to have a quiet lunch while there. Luckily the wait at till wasn’t as bad as it usually has been when I’ve been there before. And the wait for food wasn’t too bad.However, the tea was very strong and not two full cups out of the teapot. I ordered fish chips and peas. When it came I instantly realised my mistake. The fish was very flat and uniform in shape and was obviously what you would get if you bought from their freezer in the food hall. The fish inside was bland and the ‘beer batter’ was flat as a pancake and had no life in it at all. Several of my chips had black bits in them. And when I read ‘fish chips and peas’ I expected garden peas, I think it should state if it is mushy peas as they are not to everyone’s taste.I ended up leaving about 1/4 of my meal, it was a big disappointment and not really what you’d expect from an M&S.

Ordered a panini at Camberley M+S cafe.Waited over half an hour- no lunch. I went to talk to the manger who told me that I was told there would be a wait. After another 10 minutes I went back to the manger and asked for a refund as the Panini had not yet materialised. Got money back but no apology but plenty of attitude from the manager.Tables were filthy and only Twiggy could have squeezed between the tight layout of tables.Will not be returning.

We went there today to go shopping (my husband is in s wheelchair) and have a snack for lunch. My husband had a sandwich selection of which he said the bread was not the freshest! He subsequently left the crusts! We would have liked a POT of tea each but they ran out of teapots, either we had to wait or have a enormous cup!! What a joke! And the queues at the two only open tills was ridiculous. Come on M & S pull your socks up and sort your cafe out!

Without doubt this is the worst cafe in the area, there are not enough staff to keep the queues moving. The queue I was in had only one girl taking the order, dealing with payment then making the coffee. It will be a long time before I will enter this cafe again.

Average coffee and food, but very helpful staff. Always busy and frequently not adequate staffing to cover this, which means queues and occasionally having to limit customers going in.

Fish finger sandwich is £5.50 and had 2 tiny dry fish fingers in between some rubbish bread. Jacket potatoes were dry with nowhere near enough toppings. potatoes were closed with some topping dropped on top. So it looked like there was enough but there was not even half the amount you would expect. No butter either. All overpriced. Very disappointed. Would not go back.

After such a long wait at the till you lost the will to enjoy what you had purchased. A different system of vending hot drinks is needed. The staff in the kitchen are in appropriately dressed ie should have hair covered and not touch their faces / hair and then continue with dealing with food before washing their hands.

I feel sorry for the people working in there as it often heaving with people, I do go here occasionally to meet with people and it always busy and the staff are constantly on the move.

We’ve been visiting this M&S; for years & the standard in the cafe has really dropped. We arrived in the cafe at about 1.30pm to be told there was a 20min wait for food which we were fine with. We ordered two jacket potatoes which still hadn’t arrived after 30 mins. On chasing the order, we were told our food was being prepared & would be with us shortly. Still no food 5 mins later so we asked again to be told our lunch was coming now. Another 10 mins passed and still no food. We were quite frustrated by this point & a very helpful staff member went into the kitchen to find out what was really going on. Apparently the kitchen team were still cooking the potatoes so our lunch wasn’t ‘just coming’ at all. Given we had already waited 45mins we weren’t about to stay longer whilst a potato was baked! The manager was very apologetic & did give us a refund but we were bitterly disappointed by this experience. We had to buy a sandwich in the food hall & eat it in the car which isn’t the lunch we had in mind. The staff on the cafe floor were all very professional & friendly but there needs to be some serious changes made in the kitchen. It would’ve been nice to have been offered an alternative lunch too, not just given back our money. We expect so much more from M&S;!

Had chicken stir fry at Marks and spencer at Kingston. The chicken stir fry with noodles was very sweet. I never had such a terrible noodle dish anywhere. Not only that I had to rush to the toilet as had very loose motion with tummy pain about an hour later. Had the meal about 1.15 pm and 2.45 I had to rush to the toilet. It is 4 pm and my still feeling uneasy as I have tummy pain. Meals are getting worse now.

You’d have thought that these negative reviews would have stimulated change from the couldn’t-care-less management. It’s a huge cafe with more tables than the kitchen can handle. 30 minutes wait for hot food - reheated at that - is not acceptable. Shame on M&S;.

Been visiting this establishment regularly for many years, sadly have to agree with all the above comments re table clearance and hot food delay.

I shop here MARKS SPENCER HANDFORTH DEAN WILMSLOW with my daughter at least 3 times weekly, it is only ten min walk from home. We always finish with something to eat usually a hot meal at various times.

Took my Sister for lunch. Had Jact potatoe. Raelly nice . Potaote cooked well, loads of filling. only down side was very few seats and had to wait for someone to finish before we could sit down.

OMG in the Warrington M&S; cafe yesterday, 9th Jan 2019 I could not believe they have reduced the coffee cup size once again but kept the same price. Apparently they are trialling the new size before they roll it out to all the stores. I ordered a small coffee and could not believe how small the cup was. My drink was £2.50, are they mad. So in future the large cups will be a medium, the small cups will be a medium and these new thimbles will be a small!!!!

Me and my wife visited Marks and Spencer's after seeing her son we thought we try here for a change.As we are both cooks it's the worst meal ever we have had just start off when we got to the counter the waitress says we only have a few meals left so we chose the Christmas dinner we got our coffees we sat down the tables were covered in plates cutlery cups only two people clearing the tables we had to move the plates ourselves so we could find somewhere to sit we waited about 10 minutes before meals come the waitress brought our dinner is out you could tell the plates were cold as she didn't have a cloth in her hand the meal looked ok ish first off the meat was nice but when you took a bite into the vegetables to carrots were raw the sprouts with raw the parsnips with raw plus having frozen Yorkshire puddings on the plate we left all our vegetables on the plate I was looking around for a manager of some sort but there's no one around to moan to we definitely will not be visiting here again it is the WORST meal ever I have tasted the front M&S; restaurant and paying £8.50 each for the meal this place is a joke.......

I visited with a friend and her two children just after midday it was already busy and finding a table was quite difficult. We decided it would be easier if she went to purchase food first and I found a table and sat with one of the children. She ordered the chicken, mushroom and rice soup which came with two nice rolls and butter which seemed good value for what it was. I tried to order the chicken with patata bravas which to be told just after midday it was not available was very disappointing especially when the menu is quite small. So I had to make a instant decision at the busy cash desk what alternate to have. It would have been a good idea if M and S put a sign up to say when entering the café that certain items were sold out or not available. I chose the goats cheese quiche with coleslaw and a side salad. Which although my second choice when it arrived it was very tasty, there was quite a wait as it was so busy. It was convenient lunch venue as we wanted to shop in M and S but would not go out of my way to visit as a limited good value menu.

Bad set up of selecting your food from self serve and then queuing in A line to pay and also ordering beverages to the person behind the till. It took forever...???? Weird set up??? Eventually sat down very stressed.!!!

Just been to Meadows cafe for coffee - usual medium size to find it has now shrunk to small size. On asking assistant if that was correct she said medium size coffee are now served in small cups to get a fuller flavour - what a con as now to get larger cup you will have to pay more - plus have stopped free biscuit !! Come on M&S; this is just penny pinching.

We decided to get a light lunch here and went for soups, which were very nice and comes with 2 mini rolls and butter.The tables were nicely spaced out although the staff were struggling to clear tables due to the volume of people. Good coffees too.

My husband and I had toast tea cake usually enjoyed but not today because cafe use Buttery tub and scrape from it into the little dish and it was disgusting. I complaint asked what happen to the butter small pack she says it had run out. So why are we charged full fees and it enough make me not want to go there again. my mother and i have often eaten in the cafe but have always been very disappointed in the length of time to order food and beverages. the staff are always so accommodating but the food is so often cool, especially the jacket potatoes and fillings. more often than not, the tables are not cleared, there is food on the floor and on our visit yesterday, Saturday, there were no forks available so i had to ask a member of staff for cutlery. all in all, your service is unacceptable.

My partner and I had fish and chips on Friday tea time the 25th May. It was really poor, the fish was very dry and tasteless and the chips white and barely cooked. I spoke to the duty manager who said that there was nothing he could do! they had many complaints about the same but were not allowed to vary the cooking time

One of the worst M&S; cafe I have been to in my entire life. The staff is miles and miles away from politeness, firstly they charged extra, then served with rudeness and in a patronising manner and when pointed that they have charged extra, the rudeness reached extra low level. I guess if you are elderly white person then perhaps they will be polite otherwise you are better off elsewhere!

While there are aspects that are good the cafe simply can't cope with the volume they attract in this very large M&S; shop.

My daughter treated me to afternoon tea. We had to ask for a clean tray as every single tray was dirty! The presentation was not great, the sandwiches were tasteless, there was not enough jam and the cakes were ok! We wouldn't rush back.

The coffee and food are always fine, but the state of the tables doesn't improve. While my husband purchased the coffee today I watched the lady and young man finally clear some tables, they took the dirty plates away but never wiped a single table - the table i was sitting at was sticky and felt lumpy with old food and dirt really disgusting, its time M & S got a grip on this place!

After shopping with my best friend we chose our cake from a great selection. The coffee choice was great. The crockery, cutlery and trays were very clean as usual. The service was very efficient. We had a chat and a laugh in clean surroundings. It could do with being made more cosy and less cafe as Marks and Spencer's homewares are excellent... as we were surprised at how basic it is which is a shame as Marks and Spencer has always been a cut above the best. Saying that though you always know that what you order in the cafe is excellent.

I am a frequent visitor to the coffee shop at the meadows,and every time I go in it's the same thing that bothers me all the time..the tables are dirty,not cleared,rubbishy on the floors..when you see tables cleared they are not cleaned,and when cleaned the same cloth for all tables is used.

Had lunch here when this new style cafe first opened and it was horrible. Much better today - only had a large Americano and a jacket potato with tuna, sweet corn and salad but it was nice - not too much mayo - and was served quickly even though cooked to order

My husband and I called in for a quick breakfast at 9am on a Tuesday morning. Service was slow( the place was less than 10% full) there was no flexibility from the staff when asked for a minor alteration to the menu. By the way, your website for The Meadows says you have a ‘Deli bar’ maybe you should change that!

This evening, lots of staff hanging around but only one serving. Waited for ever to be served to be told no fish & chips or our 2nd choice of food. Cafe felt grubby, dirty knives with crumbs and something spilt in the container. The drinking glasses looked cloudy and had been left damp upside down with the drinking rim sitting on a filthy tray. Yuk. Wont be going back anytime soon. Seems to be run by kids, needs some serious management.

The place is spacious, quite and very convenient after shopping in Meadows. Simply love it. Reasonable prices and tasty cakes. Maybe not that suitable for a lunch or dinner but brilliant for a coffee. But during holidays could be a nightmare to get in. Most of the times they do not have enough staff. And yes, if you do not want to see mostly older ladies around it's not your place)).

Previously we have enjoyed coffee and cakes here. This time we decided to have lunch... Bit of a mistake... it was so busy we had to queue and were greeted by a lady holding an empty tray of snacks... they might have been nice but it’s generally better to offer more than crumbs to waiting customers. Not sure why she was still holding the tray... Anyway, we ordered the food, found a table and the food eventually arrived... My fish and chips was laughable. Oven cooked fish was passable... the chips (of which there were less than 10 on the plate) were burnt and oven cooked. The piece de resistance went to the mushy peas... the pot of mushy peas looked like it had been offered to several previous customers who had all tried a bit and refused to eat them. Laughing at this appalling attempt at the great British classic, I went to get a glass of water for my partner. I had to check 5 glasses before I found one that wasn’t too dirty and I could quickly wipe clean. The crockery is also shocking in terms of cleanliness.

Took my elderly parents as a day out and none of us enjoyed it. Two things. Firstly, Handforth Dean is ALWAYS busy. This is because there are department stores but there's also an incredibly popular Tesco. So you'll be bustling for space alongside people doing their weekly shop, and you will struggle to get a parking space. People DO start to get frustrated and annoyed. Secondly, I only realised today how doomed Marks and Spencers is. Around three quarters of the people sitting at the tables today were retirement age or (much) older. In about ten years' time all their customers will have died off. You'll find almost nothing without a slab of meat in it. Are you vegan or do you simply watch what you eat? Forget about it, sunshine! Just sit and watch the elderly gumming their pork barm cakes and drinking their milky coffees. Can I have just a plate of chips? Sorry. We don't do that. But you do chips? Yes, but only as part of another meal. Why not have a bag of crisps for your dinner, eh – that's LITERALLY the only vegan thing they do. Why even bother visiting this place, that upon leaving you literally get sore feet from trying to find the exit within the main store, after walking in circles? Why bother? I struggle to see why. But then again I'm not over 70.

Lovely spacious environment as a eating place but sadly I can see lack of staff who all are working very hard. Choice of food could be improved. Served with a tepid soup but the salad is good and all day breakfast could be better presented. There is room for improvement for Management of the cafeteria. Tables not cleared and people are queing.

It is what it says on the tin and that part of it is okay. I’d like to make a suggestion however. Rather than having a person standing at the entrance telling people if there are tables cleared, maybe they could actually clear the tables instead. Also, maybe they could do it with some conviction and vigour and earn the money they’re paid rather than just showing up for appearance money! They are painfully slow and clearly don’t want to be there!

Not surprisingly on a Saturday afternoon the M&S; cafe was very busy. However even with that as a mitigating factor the standards were poor. Coffee was weak and lacking in flavour, with a limited selection of cakes (they may have been running out). The main problem though was the large number if tables covered in previous customers used plates, cups, etc. Giving the whole cafe a sub-standard feel. I didn't see any staff clearing tàbles in the 45 minutes we were there. We won't be back.

Called in here in the way back from a meeting. Ordered baked potato and was given numbered buzzy disc to take to my table. Never buzzed and food never arrived. Not sure what was supposed to happen - all a bit of a mystery. Was a very busy lunchtime and previous table incumbents couldn't even gather their debris together despite seeing me with a tray. Cleared table myself and waited a good 10mins or so before finding a member of staff to dispose of the remnants. I had a heavy laptop so couldn't exactly wander about. Generally all rather dirty, untidy and no evidence of any organisation.Eventually went to the hot meals counter to request a refund which to be fair they handled well. Was offered a sandwich to eat in the car but declined. I'll not be returning - EVER!

This large cafe is located on the ground floor at the back of the store and it's not obvious if you've never been there before. What I like about it is there's plenty of space around tables so you don't feel hemmed in. At lunchtimes it's not easy to find a table and I think some sort of host system would help as a lot of four person tables/booths are hogged by two. Also when busy it helps if one of you finds a table while the other(s) organise drinks and food etc. There's plenty of staff so tables are cleared and cleaned promptly plus till queuing is kept to a minimum. Prices are standard for M&S cafes so reasonable for what you get.

Sorry, terrible experience.There seemed to be loads of staff,just no organization, having waiting an age to be served, you then have to watch the staff on the tills suddenly disappear to go and help with the drinks, this is crazy.Definitely some serious sorting out who,s doing what. More training l think.You were lucky people don t walk out.

I had a light lunch here. No problems but I somehow expected more from M and S food. Quite high prices and no real WOW factor. Shame because I live close to The Meadows with its amazing deli counter but I don't feel inclined to rush back to eat in store.

I like my usual trip to hand forth dean but I'm an early bird and the main cafe doesn't open until 9 so I sit in the other one.. It's always always cold in there, this morning particularly so. I've mentioned to staff in the past but still the problem persists.So, like my fellow early bird customers, I'm sat in my coat!!Please address it

Stopped in for a quick lunch whilst in town. It was really busy and had to wait for the jacket potato, however worth it. Tasty with nice coffee.

my wife and I took my great uncle there for lunch and we all thouroughly enjoyed it i have never been to a Marks and Spensr for a meal before and if this is the standard I wouldn't think twice about ging back

Whenever I shop at M&S in Camberley I stop here for their flat white or cappuccino ( they have delicious coffee). We had the cheese and mushroom toastie and coffee and walnut cake. This cafe is always busy but it's kept clean and the service is prompt. I love their booth seats - really comfy.

We hit the cafe at about 12 35, when it was fairly busy but not heaving, as we have seen it before. It has had a refurb since our last visit, and is a bit less like a canteen. There is a good amount of space between tables, and staff were clearing tables quite quickly. It is still a vast space, but doesn't seem to echo as it did before. Mostly it is self-service, but there's a counter where soup and other hot dishes are dispensed. We both had a croissant and coffee; the croissants were large and not dried out and hard, as they can be in some places - they had been kept under a dome.My latte was good and not too stong, while my husband's flat white he said was better than ones he had had in two other places, as it wasn't bitter.The baristas seemed efficient, and drinking water is provided, which doesn't happen everywhere.

It's what you expect from M&S , everything works well , everything is clean , the food hot and tasty , staff friendly It's not just a Cafe , it's an M&S Cafe

This is my second visit because whenever I went there during lunch time, it was always full and I had to wait too long for a vacant seat. As usual, yesterday it was still crowded, so I ordered a tropical smoothie and a chicken dish. Although both were delicious, I feel that they were overpriced - compared to other cafes which also cater the same quality of food. It was so crowded that I also had to wait quite long for my smoothie to arrive. The staff who brought me the drink and food was a pleasant lady, although after serving me the drink first, she did not even know that I was still waiting for my food and almost wanted to take away the electronic gadget (for customer's orders) from me. I think I was mistakenly served the chicken salad although I had opted for the main chicken dish. I did not complain because I compromised for that dish as I no longer had the time to keep on waiting.

OK for a light snack. Cafe is a huge space; no atmosphere; very noisy; they obviously don't want you to relax yet always very busy. Staff seem to have a problem keeping up with clearing tables. Go there regularly but not sure why other than coffee vouchers we receive as premium account holders.

The food oh god do not get me started on the dreadful food.First of all I was told that the cafe has some of the best food in the area but let me tell you right now that is not true. The food was pre-packaged they sold me a bloody curry that was pre-packaged for £7!!! 7 bloody pounds i tell you. Now the coffee let's not talk about the dreadful coffee also. There was cracks in the cup and my cup was only half full and when I talked to the guy at the counter he responded with "It doesn't matter". There was a server there who honestly made the whole experience better. He was a black teenage male who was one of the funniest and kindest people I have ever met. I don't know why he was wasting his time working for such a poor boss with disgusting food.In conclusion the food was absolutely disgusting for the outrageous price and the service was bad by the man at the counter but great service by the black teenage male who made my experience better. Definitely would not recommend.

Very busy and not a lot of choice for either hot or cold food. Had a quick sandwich that was OK nothing great and a cup of tea. Table I sat at had to clean myself and the floor was very dirty as was high chair my daughter used.

I was delighted to find no queue at all today at M&S cafe !Good service and excellent coffee as usual.
