Service was slow, took a while to get my food but I guess it's okay if you're just there to sit and chat, which a lot of the customers like to do. I ordered the jacket potato with bean and cheese, the portion was an okay size. I did ask for more cheese but don't feel like it had a lot as it was just on the top. The potato was a bit dry, they didn't put any butter in the potato. Overall, it's quite pricey but a nice little place to come for a cup of tea.

Hi, I have to say that l am not happy with the position of soup your serve.half of the bowl is not acceptable for the price .I am your customer from years. As well the portion of salads served with jacket potato was like a one tablespoon. That is shameful.lf you can't served as it should be don't sale it .Just says we are running out of salads etc.it is unprofessional to sale food in full price with small portion to gain the profit or daily target because the kitchen chef can't measure properly the size of each meal in your menu.

Just to say my wife who was taken ill in the coffee shop Saturday afternoon has now recovered and a big thank you to all the kind staff who tried to assist her. PS; It was nothing to do with the food :)

Popped in here for a snack and was delighted. The shop has been recently built/rebuilt and everything is bright and breezy. Food was excellent and for once, I have found an M&S cafe where the staff are efficient, speedy, communicative and basically everything which the majority of M&S cafes don't do. Roll and sausage was great value for money and certainly a great experience.

Popped in for lunch while in the area and had a jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn , I normally love M&S food and I’m a bit fan, but not today , the price was good but the potato was tepid the salad was nice and fresh and the tuna had way too much mayo in it , based on this I wouldn’t return x

Walked in to the hotel receptionist were busy on screen, said hi asked them what time dinner is served to and if we need to log our car in parking…. Was all fine showed us were Resturant was… we waited for a bit near wait here sign.. no one in sight just a few odd tables with ppl sat down.. (not busy at all would say 10/11 ppl sat down.. walked through Resturant seen two staff members in purple striped shirts Staring at till screen and talking between themselves, so we waited to be acknowledged by them… for a few minutes then asked… hi, is there any one that cud assist they had said “we are busy go back to the front” in a abrupt rude manner like we were not well come.. so we walked to reception and told what we had just experienced and walked out.. they were shocked what had just happened.. and I had told them we had come for a meeting to look at hiring your conference rooms for 2 months twice a week. Not any more we said Moral of the story is NEVER turn a customer away you never know how much business they give even if it’s just a tea or coffee per month especially in these times every little helps.

I recently visited the John Lewis Cafe on the third floor of Highcross and had a generally positive experience. The café itself offers a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for taking a break from shopping. I decided to try a slice of cake and a hot chocolate. The cake was enjoyable, with a nice flavor, but I found it to be slightly on the dry side—it could have been a bit more moist. On the other hand, the hot chocolate was excellent, rich and satisfying, providing a nice contrast to the cake. The total for my order came to £7.50, which I found to be reasonable for the quality and setting. Overall, I would rate the experience 4 out of 5 stars. The café is a lovely spot with good offerings, though a bit more attention to the texture of the cake would make it even better. I’ll definitely be returning, but I hope to find an even more delightful cake next time.

We ordered 2 breakfasts, 1 vegan breakfast and 1 small breakfast. The food arrived very quickly, but the breakfast was average but also cheap. Personally wouldn’t recommend the vegan breakfast, as there are better options in the area. But overall not too bad, average!
