Very good service and a pleasant happy and smiling barista served us . He had assisted an elderly couple just before us by carrying their tray for them Great service and lovely coffee

Quick Bites?!? Not exactly......it went through painful and into quite funny how long it took to serve a person at a time. Christmas wishes and all that to the tireless staff but come on M&S, Quick, Quick SLOW would be more suitable.

I was in a queue of 5 people. Waited 10minutes , the lady in front of me walked out as fed up waiting. Waited another 5mins then left. Staff very slow & 3 staff serving. Went to next cafe & had a coffee within 5 minutes.

Enjoyed our visit, lovely staff, amazing coffee and mocha will return again. My sister in law enjoyed her first coffee outing since covid.

Awful coffee in a horrible chunky mug ! Waiting time in queue was 15 minutes. The seating area is austere and boring it looks like a work canteen in a factory . I will not be going there again .

We visited the cafe on Saturday which is obviously a busy day in Hereford,we’ve used the cafe when shopping in store and on other occasions. Whilst at the counter I could hear customers asking for a tea saucer to be told “we don’t give them any out anymore”I couldn’t believe what I was hearing but found out for ourselves that that is indeed the case. As it was very busy most of the vacant tables hadn’t been cleared of Crockery and leftover food.This resulted in us having to use a table full of crockery etc that I moved to another uncleared table,but we had to put up with the tea soaked table top.I suppose the spilt tea was due to no tea saucer’s being used. However the most serious problem is hygiene, with Coronavirus and other germs etc being amongst us it is totally unacceptable to expect customers to put their teaspoon down on a dirty table when pouring their tea. After all this is M&S not some tea shack in a lay-by.

Stiffed for breakfast while in Hereford. Great coffee the restaurant was clean and tidy. We got served quickly 10 am and had poached eggs and baked beans on ciabatta. Very tasty, nicely presented. Well done M and S team

It's a nicely appointed second floor Café in Hereford's main square. M&S serve old English fayre and lovely it is. A pot of tea for one, butter croissant and chocolate chip cookie. A wonderful way to while away an hour or so. The grey haired generation seems to like this space too. Prices are competitive and there's regular cleaning of tables. Looks like a well run and managed team. I was brought up on M&S and this current Café design is fairly familiar to thousands of customers. The M&S generation. I'm reminded of a Parr photograph. But sadly there's no produce under the St.Michael's label. And Blue Harbour not as prominent. A great business model and fine eaterie offering the very basics of breakfast brunch and lunch and afternoon tea. And not hard on your wallet. I'll be here again, all being well.

Love visiting M & S cafe always nice and clean and you always get good service with a good choice of snacks, cakes etc.

I’ve come into Hereford to do some Christmas shopping and called into M&S cafe. What lovely staff. They are so welcoming and so helpful. Everything is constantly being cleaned. An absolute pleasure. The chocolate cake is superb- just too much!! Well worth a visit.

Marks and Spencer Hereford has always had a high reputation for the quality of its Food Hall and good is store. All of the staff Marks and Spencer are also more than usually helpful but exceptional service and those that give it should be appreciated. For this reason it as fair to mention two of the staff in the cafe. Amy and Molly in particular always a pleasure to be served by and unfailingly cheerful, helpful and polite. having spent a lot of time shopping and spending money in the shop, it was good to stop and get a snack and an Americano. Nice food and clean tables and helpful staff.

The cafe was overcrowded. A waste wheelie bin was at the entrance with lid open. Only ONE adult sandwich available which had obviously been frozen as was very cold and damp. Had to resort to a child's sandwich (to make up a sandwich each) which was very poor with only one half buttered. The cafe resembled a 'works canteen' with almost utilitarian tables & chairs placed very close together. Our first visit and most certainly our LAST.

A run of the mill cafe but Ok when shopping nearby. At least it was nice and cool after the warm weather outside, not that we were complaining

It is a good place to meet friends, have a coffee or lunch. Very tasty and good quality food. Affordable prices.

With a bit of time to spare in Hereford this morning, decided to visit the M&S cafe for breakfast. I looked at the menu and the picture of scrambled eggs on toast caught my eye. Lovely looking bloomer bread with butter and a pile of scrambled eggs on top with the caption that eggs are always free range so ordered some. What I actually got was two slices of unbuttered standard white bread, barely toasted, with a spoonfull of scrambled eggs on the side. The eggs were insipid and a very pale yellow. Clearly made without any salt but greasy so possibly with butter but not a buttery taste. Very disappointing.

I come here for a late soup and rolls. I reflect that I am very boring in my choice of lunch venues (not to mention my lunch choices!), but I do like to come to a place where I know what I am getting, and that I will be satisfied. So Marks & Spencer it is once more. And full marks again.

A quick refreshment while visiting Hereford for the first time. There was a long queue but the staff seemed to be working hard and they soon got to my order. Staff were cheerful and helpful and tables were cleared quickly.

Well what a disappointment lunch was ...the Crispy Chicken burger was not crispy at all, the bun was too cold, coleslaw looked old and like it was left out for ages. The meat in the burger looked very dark and did not taste nice. The seating area was not very clean and the tables were far to close to one another, we were very disappointed! The price was also far too much for what little you got. We will not visit again. Took ages to get served aswell.

Like most M&S cafes the meals and service are excellent. Good palce to relax in between your shopping or sightseeing tours. The carrot cake is yummy.

Met friends here for coffee. Coffee & Teas good after a long time queuing, it appears to happen each time I visit, good for business but not for customers. Staff always cheerful & polite. Will return.

At 11.00am on 27th December my partner and I were visiting your store and decided to have some beverages before continuing with our shopping, it was getting to be a little busy in the coffee lounge but we found a table that I could sit to using my wheelchair. My partner moved the table so that I could sit comfortable in my wheelchair allowing enough room for people to be able to walk past me in any direction, we were approached by one of your men who was clearing tables, he said that we had to put the table back, find some where else to sit or leave. I found this to be really stressful and embarrassing because he was talking loudly to us other customers were listening and staring at us.

We hadn't visited here for some time. Unfortunately this time we found the staff to be zombie like, in attitude and manner.

Fast friendly service , great for food sandwich ,cakes and hot food , fabulous drink selection , clean, staff work really hard in a fast paced environment ,can get busy .

We use Marks Cafe on a regular basis, however, it is not cheap But in general, good fresh cakes and snacks. This is a treat time. The service could speed up a little with better organization, painfully slow on occasions.

Went here with my daughter,staff big smile's,fast service,I had baked potato with cheese(daughter had bag of crisps) potato piping hot and loads and mean loads of cheese topping,superb.Table's were being cleared and cleaned all the time,thank you M&S; will call again

Really good selection of lunch items. Couldn't decide what to have so daughter and I shared 2 meals. Would recommend.

Lovely as expected M&S; Cafe. Good food, service with a smile. Try it, enjoy it and shop at the same time. Leave the Mrs..... to shop while you have a cake and coffee.

Rather surprising to find that during one of herefords busiest weeks I am put off coming back due to no fish fingers to make fishfinger sandwiches In defence was offered lots of alternative but not the point Planning planning planning people

If you fancy a nice break & some good coffee & a snack then make your way to M & S. The staff there are very friendly, can get some tasty things there, all for a very reasonable price.

Popped in for a bite to eat and a cuppa. We both decided to have a toasted sandwich. Unfortunately although hot the sandwiches were like savoury cakes. Not toasted but I would guess reheated in a microwave. One which was chicken and bacon was soggy, both were soft and limp and browned on one side. The taste of the cheese and ham was ok and plenty of flavour but not very palatable. Shame as the staff were really friendly.

As expected. The cafe was clean, the food reasonably priced with good selection and the staff were, as always, pleasant

Stopped here for some coffees and a bite to eat as subway had said they weren't doing the breakfast subs even though the signs and food was out, anyway we were pleased that was the case as we thought the staff were very friendly in marks and seemed to be run efficiently much better than subway and Debenhams cafe as well the food we had sausage bap and a sausage, onion, cheese toastie enjoyed them filled us up nicely, toilets clean and tidy could do with an escalator going down as well though,

You would think such a presidious cafe would now accomodate more than gluten allergies. Especially when you can buy dairy free food in the food store.

Whenever you need a coffee always friendly and welcoming Lovely staff usually good coffee anytime of the day and year

A packed M&S; restaurant on this Saturday afternoon in September. We popped up for lunch, as we do when visiting this city shopping.

There seem to be an awful lot of disgruntled comments on TripAdvisor about this little cafe, and I have to say that as a discerning customer I completely disagree.

We visited the cafe before shopping downstairs in M&S; on a quiet Sunday afternoon in July.

Called in today had toasted sandwich which was not properly cooked. It was hardly toasted, bread was white and floppy and mushrooms slimey. Asked for a large coffee extra hot. And I got half a cup of luke warm rubbish. It used to be so good at one time. I know I should have complained but I just couldn't be bothered. I will go elsewhere next time. There's an amazing cafe called cookies behind boots which is much better and cheaper and friendlier.

Called in for some lunch and it was ok. Always looks better than it actually is. But a few things spoiled it. First the queue was enormous I know they can't help that but whilst queuing I suddenly thought what if I can't get a seat what do i do. Then after getting served and eventually sitting down I received my jacket potato which was quite tasty but extremely small. Then after eating I visited the food hall. I asked a lady to slice a loaf of bread but she said no because it had seeds on it and some people were allergic to them. Ok but the fact the seeded loaf was placed touching the unseeded loaf was odd. So I had the unseeded loaf sliced. Then on the counter were some sample but they did not say what they were. When I asked I was told it was a seafood spread on a french stick. Ummm now seafood allergies are quite dangerous as well. I know you don't have to eat samples if you have allergies but it seemed odd that there was no sign up warning about the contents. Then when going to the quick check out were there is normally one person serving. I placed my items down and asked for a bag the lady serving got a bag licked her fingers and opened it. Well that really was bizarre and quite disgusting whilst handling my food. I did complain but no one seemed bothered. So overall not brilliant.

Visited again (the first time since my last review at this restaurant) with my wife, for a snack at 3.30pm on a Friday afternoon, therefore it wasn't too busy.

I visited M&S; with my wife for lunch on a Saturday afternoon.

Popped in for lunch on my own. Well it was extremely busy but I got a seat. Which could be a bit hit and miss because you have to order before you sit down so if all seats are being used you would have no where to sit but luckily a lady was leaving and offered me her seat. The good things are the coffee is excellent. Other things not so good. I was going to have a vegatarian toastie but whilst standing in the queue it looked like they were toasting all sandwiches on the same toaster meat ones and veggie ones. So I decided to have a jacket potato well it was OK but very very small and a salad which was OK. But the odd thing was whilst I sat there waiting the lady bringing out food brought me two meals and without a word left them on my table I tried to get her attention but could not. So what should I do eat my lunch or queue up to return somebody else's. Well it seems I should have queued because when I git her attention she said you should have said when I brought your food out. Somehow I think it was her mistake not mine and was not enarmoured with her attitude. So although it was OK it wasent brilliant for the amount you paid and the stroppy service off one lady such a shame.

A nice break spent here for lunch after shopping. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon but enough space to sit down. Busy staff cleaning up which is vital. Food good but a bit expensive.

We are always sure of a good, tasty snack & coffee at the Hereford Marks & Spencer.

Use this café quite regularly when in town, usually Saturdays and find it quite annoying that there is always a queue to order drinks etc. It would help if they use the spare coffee machine that is at the end of the counter. I have only seen it being used once. Staff are very helpful and drinks and food are good but expensive for what you get.

To be found on the first floor, M&S; Cafe Hereford caters for more than just tea and coffee. A full range of hot meals are available. We had the soup and gluten free roll option which was brought piping hot to the table. Staff were helpful. Tables cleared quickly. Nice quiet atmosphere throughout. I would go to this Cafe again.
