Our first visit. No indication of where to queue, no welcome and no service. Walked out after waiting to order drinks and then being told to queue in a different place by a member of staff who shouted across the restaurant towards those customers who were patiently waiting. Three or four members of staff present but no attempt to offer any form of customer service.

My wife and I love M&S cafe for some coffee and cake, particularly the carrot cake, this weekend we walked in to find that not only had the cake gone up 50p a serving but the portions were 2/3rds the size. Very disappointingly we left and won’t return to the cafe unless the value for money changes.

Had a full English breakfast, hash browns looked like they had been cooked on the radiator, sausage was soggy, bacon not great either. To be fair the only thing decent about it was the two slices of white thick toast.

The slowest customer service I have ever had the displeasure to experience. 25 minutes que for lunch, averaging at 4 minutes per person. And to top it off, the bottom feeder who served me got the coffee order wrong. M&S hang your head in shame.

Two of party were diabetics with falling blood sugars. Food delivery was very poor. Order placed at 13.21. 30 minutes after order was placed wd had to chase food up. By this time the coffees we had ordered were long gone. Food arrived for 2 of us 5 minutes later; the final meal was a further 5 minutes. Total wait time was 43 minutes. No explanation.

I was stuck for somewhere to go for lunch on a visit to Scunthorpe and behold, like a star from the East, the M&S Store on the outskirts of this not so fair City stood out. When I entered the store, which I may add looks super, much worth a drop in, instead of a prawn sandwich and soft drink in the car a lovely cafe beckoned. Yeah, I thought, much better to have something warm on a very very wet day leading up to storm Agnes. When entering the eatery it looked bright, energetic and vibrant, but I immediately got lost, no guidance and indication of what was on offer. I asked a member of staff who showed me the recently moved menue board below the counter to see what I could choose, after limboing my way through the offering I plumped for a large house coffee (excellent) and gastro fush n chips. After a long wait they arrived and then the hurt began. Well presented and priced at £8.95, perhaps too many peas for any man to take, but we are in pea County I thought, chips large chunky and we'll cooked, but the star of the show, the fish, gosh, were did it come from, surley not the sea, was it recycled cardboard I thought, but no. I raised this with the staff, with one saying I've just had it and it was nice. Ah thanks, not, for listening to my comment. Perhaps staff training is necessary and a visit to nearby Grimsby for better quality fish is in order.

Lovely fresh sandwiches and nice cakes too! Had to wait a bit for my frappe but it was nice once it came. Clean cafe, plenty of seating area compared to the Doncaster one

Called in after shopping on Christmas Eve, at 9am. A big sign outside tempting us to scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Upon trying to order, sorry not available! Tried to order a bacon Sandwich instead, sorry not available, a sausage sandwich - yes you guessed it sorry not available! What is the point of being a cafe and offering a tempting sign if you cannot serve food? You had all the products on the shop floor downstairs, we had just bene shopping. Will not bother again!

Compared to previous visits the cafe was very poorly managed and short of staff. Probably there were too many customers drifted in at once but had to wait 35 minutes for toasted tea takes and a coffee.The server offered a free coffee but the tea cakes which followed was slightly charred. Good luck next time to me!

I had steak pie with mash and gravy, all very tasty but the mash portion was small and a few garden peas wouldn't have broke the bank. Nice bottle of pale ale went lovely with it.

Food was fine, jacket potato tuna and sweetcorn, good value, although more tables have been put in to increase capacity which makes th place a bit cramped and chaotic.

I arrived in the cafe at 4.15pm and there was no one on the tills - plus the message on the tills said that the tills were closed. I went and found someone who confirmed that they were still open. I guess the cafe had been busy as someone had been round and cleared the tables plus wiped them. Coffee was good.

We are regular visitors to the restaurant prior to visiting the food hall. The organisation has never been particularly good, but today there appeared to be none. We were warned at the till that hot food would take about 15 minutes due to staff shortages. This seemed OK, but 35 minutes later there was still no sign of our order so we asked for a refund and left. A later call to the restaurant manager elicited only the excuse that they were short of staff and she was sorry. I feel sorry for the staff who were trying their hardest but there was just not enough of them. Let's hope next week is better!!

Come here fairly regularly, not really cheap but good quality. Coffee is nice as are the cakes, food portions could be more generous or cheaper.

The staff are friendly & helpful, but as the restaurant is open to the rafters it is almost impossible to have a conversation as the place is so noisy

Regular visitor here and it's ok but wish they'd vary the cake selection. Fed up tho' with ordering the salmon and cream cheese bagel and getting very small portion of cheese and salmon. Visited an M n S in Scotland last week and was served a full pot of cream cheese and several strips of salmon whereas in Scunthorpe today the cheese hardly came halfway up the pot and there was not enough salmon to even go round the bagel.It wasn't a 'one-off' either regularly have to ask for more but always had good portions in other branches.

No restaurant review it's the shop in general customer service very disappointed 😔 in no repor no smile no hello some time back it was the place to go for it but alas its gone along with a lot of things what a shame

Not the most comfortable seating area but very clean bit over expensive for what you get coveinient for a break during shopping

Con parientes en Scunthorpe en nuestras 5 semanas de Australia y decidió el último día antes de volar a casa para visitar a M&S; para conseguir mi primo un presente.

I went for lunch last Thursday. We had sandwiches and the lime and coconut cake. It is not a cheap place to have lunch at well over £20 for two but very good quality.

had a coffee and a cheese scone with butter in the cafe it was delicious reasonably priced.the cafe is clean and pleasant with plenty of seating and very nice staff. well worth a visit I can't stay away.

Ruidoso, todo el lugar vibra, iluminación, café y tarta mal nogales, que estaba seco, y tan dulce como para ser incomible, y no gusto de café. Tengo que preguntar ¿Qué están haciendo? Es el mismo en leeds, solía ser que M&S; se destacó por calidad no nuked pasada tostados. El hotel de una estrella es para el pobre personal que era muy amable.

Metimos en para el café de la mañana de domingo con la familia. Estaba lleno, pero el personal era tranquilo y cortés. Pedimos bebidas y comida a mi sobrino ordenados de patata y judías pero era chaqueta dijeron no había granos de izquierda un poco desconcertante, ya que estaba a sólo 11:00 la comida también era muy lento en llegar casi 30 minutos por una chaqueta y tostado de la arena que potat. Las bebidas estaban bien.

Mi abuela le gusta Marks and Spencer Café y normalmente nos entrara a café y tarta o bollo. El queso bollos son deliciosos y húmeda, y sirven un buen café, lo cual no es demasiado amarga. Puede ser un poco caro, pero se obtiene lo que se paga.

Not a great deal of choice meal wise, but loads of cakes on offer. Jacket potato with chilli was fab & arrived really quickly. Coffee is very nice too.

El café está bien decorados, pero debido a la azotea industrial de estilo era ruidoso, incluso a las 10.30 con pocos niños. El menú de desayuno para comer verduras era decepcionante - aparte de una rosca pastel de té la única opción (aparte de las opciones de tipo de almuerzo) era un queso y champiñones bungaloes. El café estaba bien, pero decepcionante la taza estaba agrietada - yo pensé que se habría sido notado por el servidor. No llevar como el sistema de hacer cola para pagar, entonces hacer cola para bebidas era un poco caótico.

No solemos hacer un punto de ir a una tienda como M&S; para una taza pero Marks & Spencer en Scunthorpe me ha hecho replantearse este ... Es un lugar encantador para ir en un domingo por la mañana con mi hija y/o vecinos para una agradable y relajante taza de té y un pastel (tiene que ser hecho ya que están tan fresco y atractivo). El lugar en sí es luminoso y amplio, y el personal es muy amable, atento y servicial.

Normalmente no soy fan de cafés de la tienda, ya que tienden a variar de la sosa para los débiles, pero en el caso de M&S; Scunthorpe me sorprendió muy gratamente. El servicio es muy amable, la selección de la comida es una mezcla de italiano de fusión con algunas especialidades inglesas (patatas, etc). La comida es fresca y preparan la comida principal para usted y llevar a su mesa. acostumbrado al verdadero café belga no soy un gran fan del sabor de café en inglés (normalmente débil) pero el café aquí es muy bueno. Los precios son también muy realista y dar una buena relación calidad-precio. También puedes comprar comida hecha xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (sándwiches, envolturas, etc), y además también tienen muy buena ensaladas. La decoración es bastante moderna, intenta conseguir una mesa por las dos grandes ventanas ya que esto demuestra un gran lugar para ver el mundo exterior. En general, es un buen lugar para tomar un descanso de las tiendas.
