We used to visit the M&S cafe a few years ago. In those days you each had a free biscuit, a cup and saucer and ice cold water with a slice of lemon to go with the espresso. Today (4/3/23) you get a scalding hot mug of insipid undrinkable foul liquid, filled to the brim leaving no room for milk, without a saucer. You can also get an espresso that tastes like battery acid (my stomach is still suffering 6 hours later) and luke warm water in a filthy glass. Never again!

Went in this morning for breakfast at 9am, we were told there were no tea cakes then the customer behind us & behind them ordered & got them. I asked for some water & I was told it was in the jug, I said it was empty but she argued with me. The tables were still cluttered with trays & so people didn't know where to sit. They were short staffed & seemed stressed. The girl taking the orders didn't smile or say thank you & wasn't helpful at all. The toast came out cold with hard butter & crispy bacon with a hard roll. I may as well have thrown the £12 I paid down the drain. Will not be returning.

We tried to be economical during our weekend in Salisbury and found the sandwiches were perfect. They tasted great and the parks nearby were perfect picnic areas.

Here we Sunday brunch time when the older folk of Salisbury come out and get their sausage sandwiches and scones, but with one person serving a 100 seater cafe is not enough. 20 minute wait whilst we watched the member of staff call for help three times and no-one came. There are plenty of other places around for a coffee. Go there instead.

we walked down here one morning and the best breakfast that we had all week. In the cafe of Marks and Spencer it was lovely and the best. Nice shop considering that the nearest store to me is in Canterbury although there is a food store in Ashford. But you need a car to get over to were it is.

During Eat Out to Help Out we’ve tried many cafes in Salisbury hoping to find a local one to support that was to our taste. Unfortunately none of them have come up to Marks and Spencer’s standards with good coffee and delicious snacks. We’ve had everything from bacon rolls to various cakes and all have been delicious. The staff are helpful and friendly but the wait can sometimes seem long at the counter. All government guidelines are being followed so we'll definitely be continuing to visit there whilst shopping in future.

This cafe is ideally placed in the centre of Salisbury close to bus services. We enjoyed a good pot of tea and a visit to the toilet which was a nice refresher whilst shopping.

We went to Marks&Spencer for lunch because we could not find a place where we could have some fish or gluten free menu. We decided to have Tomato soup for lunch and we were so glad they had gluten free bread for us to go with our soup. Last year we could enjoy salmon and salad but not this year. It was quite difficult to find a place to have fish and no gluten menu in UK. However, this was a nice place that I am sure about the quality of soup because I always have it at Marks& Spencer. Good quality of salad at Food Hall and lunch or the second floor was just right for us.

Popped in for coffee and toasted tea cake mid morning and was good. The cafe is always busy but the tables for the most part are cleared promptly. Unfortunately the counter service is extremely slow resulting in very long queues.

As with other M & S cafes it has limited seating so can get full up. Basic things on offer but well presented and decent service subject to queues. Coffee (americano) was very good as was the millionaires shortbread. A nice little break whilst shopping in Salisbury.

Just another m and s cafe. You know what your going to get in a boring cafe. Sandwich’s are just uninteresting cakes just the same, why would you want to have a drink here. But then many do so try it your self

A friend and I came here for a snack lunch as she loves M&S and buys a great deal from the Food Hall. It was a Monday and yet the place was packed. I feel sorry for the staff, as there never seem to be enough of them to cope with the non-stop lengthy queues of customers. Consequently, service is not speedy. We both had toasties and these were good. Food is not cheap here, but it is of good quality. Suggestion to management: as your café is so popular, why not do away with some of the adjacent sales space (or squeeze it into neighbouring space), extend the café and employ a few more staff? You would make a fortune!

Went here for coffee, which was wonderful. But although the staff were lovely, the service was sooo slow. The café was full and I had to wait for a table.

Called into the café around 11am for a quick bite. On the way in I seen a poster for scrambled eggs on toast so I thought that sounds nice with a coffee. The coffee was good but the scrambled eggs were served up luke warm and bland. I would not recommend these to anyone else

Shopping in MnS and fancied a coffee and cake. Well the coffee was fine but not much choice of cake. I like the cakes from the shop below and felt sure these would be for sale here - but not on this occasion (or is this how it always is?). The table and chairs are packed in so there is little room to get between - if you have shopping bags beware!

We went to this cafe and ordered two teas which were served in individual metallic teapots. We tried to pour the tea and it just came out as water. Despite stirring the pot the tea was incredibly weak and really didn’t taste nice at all.Extremely disappointed and not the standard we expected from M&S who we always hold in high esteem.

We get great picnic food here. They have fabulous carry out/take away choices and it is wonderful to get food and go sit down by the river. If you are tired of being on the road, this is a nice antidote.

So busy when we went in that we almost turned away but we saw a table and ordered. The food and coffee were very good. Staff were slow to clear tables, and it's a bit cramped, but a good place to get a hot drink and snack on a chilly day.

Pick up your Bacon Buttie and hand it to the ladies on the coffee counter and they will lovingly warm this to perfection and deliver it to your table with a smile. I like mine cooked a little longer than normal and they will always oblige. What makes them so good is the inspired coating of semolina on the top of the bun plus the quality of the bacon. The coffee is great too - an americano with a drop of cream is absolutely spot on.An inexpensive treat to have when in Salisbury or anywhere that M and S have a cafe. Bath is good ytoo.

I only ever visit here when persuaded by friends as being a handy place to meet.Salisbury is lucky enough to have some really, really good cafes - how this M&S cafe survives in the face of their competition defeats me.The menu is limited as the cafe area is small. All the warm food is pre-packaged, long life, re-warm as quickly as you can, not terribly tasty fare. The young staff are generally good-humoured and happy to help if not actually particularly efficient. So, if you want somewhere to meet, do your taste buds a favour and choose one from the many good cafes in Salisbury :)

M & S Salisbury, is an older M & S, but yet it is rather large. This therefore means that it caters for food, children clothing, men and women clothing and a small section for homeware. This store is suitable for people who needs wheelchairs, as there is a lift to allow you to get upstairs, as well as there being ample space between cloth racks. The store itself is rather light within and spacious. There are plenty of places to pay within the store, meaning you don't have to travel to far to pay for your items. Parking for this store isn't too far away, but yet there is no parking right outside, so its not that easy to just 'pop in quickly'. Compared to other M & S stores, the homeware and food range is not the largest, so if you are going for these things in particular, I would suggest visiting another store.

A typical in store modern dining with the normal selection of food drink and sadly nothing exceptional service is quick (mostly) but there can be delays if there is a queue

This is the umpteeth time I have used M&S's lavatories and it is always dreadful. Dirty, needs painting always and today none of the 3 ladies' cubicles had flushing cisterns and, although there was water in the tap outside, the hot air dryer didn't work. This has been a place best avoided for as long as I can remember. I told a member of staff, who she had reported one cubicle earlier. It should have been closed. There is no obvious register of a cleaning inspection regime, signed by a member of staff, which I would have thought was a legal requirement.

Have a lovely stay here with friends, booked a triple room. The room was spacious and very comfortable, we booked an evening meal here and the owner was very helpful with the Thai menu as I'm unable to eat spicy food and her recommendation was delicious ( pad Thai noodles with chicken). Lovely breakfast and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again 👍

I have a dairy intolerance and was served a meal with butter, slaw and mayonnaise after I had told them about my intolerance. The meal was taken away and I was served a Ham baguette with most of the meat inside being just fat and I found spread in the roll. The mustard turned out to be mayonnaise with mustard seeds in it. My family member asked for Fish and chips yet she was served Fish with French fries. I ended leaving the cafe completely disgusted and will never return.

Wedding coordinators both amazing. Prompt and professional support and advice. Food was better than some Michelin restaurants I’ve been to. Five star quality; amazing service and would highly recommend. Venue went over and above what was necessary from free coffee to supporting external vendors and accommodation

Not a nice place, dirty floor wooden floor looks like never properly cleaned. Shame as nice location and building. There is better and cleaner coffee shops in Malmesbury
