Had a couple of returns to make after Christmas. Had orders etc on my mobile, but the signal upstairs is very poor took a few minutes to track them down in my emails. Served by an older lady. Just doing the last item, looking on mobile and another older lady came over and told her she had to get off the till and go and speak to a customer waiting at the side. So, our server said she would give me a gift voucher, rang it up on till and left, the other supervisor asked us to move out the way as she wanted to serve other people - a younger lady on the next till had overheard and came to help us - can I say the two older ladies were rude and did not meet the service I would expect from M&S, but their younger colleague stood head and shoulders above them with regards to customer service and they could learn a lot from her. I big thank you to her for sorting out our issues and actually issuing me the refund I was due (not a gift vouchers)!

Getting a ticket for shopping where there are no signs on any pillars near the shops but in the middle of the car park is really an underhanded tactic. No signs as you go into the car park either or outside of the car park so you are forced to go into the car park with your car before you realise you have broken their terms for returning within two hours to exchange a item. 10 shops including the cafes to visit with a 2.5 hour limit means you can only stay in each shop for 15 minutes which makes no sense what so ever. Has put me off ever going to Next or any of these shops again. Shame really when you go there to spend your hard earned money. --

Staff were very rude as we wanted a coffee 15 mins to closing time although there were others on the cafe. When they are open a coffee shouldn't be a problem. We were finished within 10 mins. Some other people came after and they were turned away. There were still people in cafe when we left. I asked for a spoon and got a comment that they were closed. Although I already had purchased.

Sat in the cafe for about an hour. What a disgrace, not one table was cleaned. The floor was disgustingly dirt and food all over the place. For a shop like this it is disgusting and should be inspected. The lady on the next table to me pulled out the biggest hair ever from her jacket potato 😬

Young woman serving at the clothing section downstairs. So impolite in a passive aggressive way. I was returning an item of clothing for a refund. She pointed to the self service returns, and said " you can do it over there". I said I had already queued and would stay where I was. She was clearly irritated by this! I couldn't understand why she was so irritated! I told her she was rude and should get further training on customer care. Her reply was " sorry you feel that way!" I replied " I don't FEEL that way, YOU were rude and you know it" Often I think people write reviews in the vague hope that it might get noticed by the store/shop, but of course it won't! Nothing will happen and people like that girl will continue to be impolite to other customers. Marks and Spencer need to up their game and realise they will lose life long customers, if they choose to ignore complaints. I do realise that me writing here won't help any potential customers make a decision whether to shop at this store or not, but I feel a bit better writing it all down 😉😉😉😉

Was having trouble booking a bra fit online, went into store & Becky was soo helpful after explaining I was only visiting for the weekend she squeezed me in for a quick bra fit to suit my availability rather than waiting around for 3hrs!! Despite needing efficiency with her busy day she didn’t rush me and got me in 3 new bras that fitted perfect. Will defo be back here to buy lingerie! Becky was great 😊

We popped in for a 'quick cuppa' after a long drive. The speed of service was shocking. I had to wait ten minutes to order a pot of tea and a coffee - and there was only two customers ahead of me in the queue and three people serving! The cheese scone was tasteless and the table at which we sat hadn't been cleaned either. This is NOT the M & S difference I expect.

This store is too small to offer any real choice. Womens/mens clothing food in a small unit means the choice of all products is small. OK for a local pop in for the odd thing but better off going to a larger branch/store if you want more choice. Would be much better if this was converted to a food/ home outlet only.

This cafe is located upstairs in Marks and Spencer. There is plenty of free parking outside which is a bonus. With views outside this cafe is much more inviting than the one in Waterlooville. Service is slow, and can be quite frustrating. We particularly enjoy the toasted tea cakes which are really delicious

This M&S is handy for picking up on-line orders although their own stock I find somewhat limited .... staff however on the retail side are always friendly and polite. We've used the food ordering service christmas time too and that was well organised and problem free. Restaurant however is another matter entirely ..... I've had a couple of lovely visits with my daughter and enjoyed soup or a cuppa in lovely quiet, clean surroundings .... I've also had a number of very unsatisfactory visits where there simply hasn't been enough staff or room to cope .... being greeted by long queues and tables piled high with used trays full of crockery etc is sadly not unusual .... I always have a look if I'm thinking of stopping off for a drink etc and then decide by what greets me ..... the Next restaurant next door is a good alternative if this one doesn't look a good idea!!

For a new M & S store to open in Havant was amazing when those around were closing in Portsmouth and Fareham for example. I just love M & S food. It is simply very good. The clothing side at Havant however lacks flair, certainly on the mens side, and much of the stock is just "safe". There are just so many pink or blue check shirts a man needs. If you are looking for something different in the shirt line for example just forget it. No white contrasting collars and cuffs, no tab collars and no pin collars. Not even a vyella style shirt in stock. Someone in the buying department needs to wake up or step aside. Every time I visit I look for something different in the shirt line and am disappointed.

While waiting for our coffees, I watched the staff member preparing the meals.She was not wearing gloves and was taking salad direct from a packet without washing it. It may say washed on the label, but it is common knowledge that it must be washed before consumption.Between preparing and serving meals she also used a mobile phone without washing her hands before again grabbing the unwashed salad. She was also clearing tables before returning to prepare food.Very low hygiene standards!

My Daughter and i where looking for certain colours and bras.i myself are 42E.Therefore we went to Marks and Spencers Retails Havant.In the Underwear Department was lady called Becky who was so helpful and the Service she gave us was prompt and Excellent and we left satisfied. We have tried coffee and a tea cake here a few times and unfortunately been disappointed. Several times we have finished our coffee before the tea cakes arrived ( and we're not fast drinkers!) and on mor e occasions that not, the tea cake has been 'warm' rather than toasted. Not good value for the price being charged.

Always use this cafe on a regular basis, Mandy and I went for coffee at 10am Tuesday ordered 2 coffees, there were no little biscuits on the saucer so I asked a member of staff where they were, whithout any apology she said rather rudely "there isn't any, we haven't had any all week "and just walked away. Better manors are needed when dealing with the general public they cost nothing!

Nice to be able to park for free right outside an M&S; with food, clothes & cafe - maybe homewares too but I didn't notice. The range of women's clothing isn't large, no Autograph which is a shame but I guess there was a logical reason. Very convenient for a quick underwear update at the same time as a trip to the pet supermarket and big Tesco.

I visit this M&S; store 3 times a week and every time I go the customer service is spot on. Very friendly, super helpful. I've not had a sad looking face yet. I also visit 3 other M&S; stores in the area and I'm glad Havant now work with us because they are a great team.

Ok we tend to shop in m&s; weekly and as a treat we pop in the cafe for coffee and cake this branch has to be the best we have been in. The service is fantastic the cake is always moist and the coffee is consistent. Well done m&s; some of your other branches need to follow suit

Visited today for a quick food shop and decided to stop for a coffee and toasted tea cake - what a mistake! Not up to normal M&S; standards at all. Everyone's orders were mixed up and our hot food was ready before our drinks.

This Café has only one serving point, we joined a queue with 8 customers waiting to be served, it took us eighteen minutes to reach the tilling point, there is only one till with a very limited serving area for the hot drinks to be place for your collection, indeed the till fixture's and fittings have been constructed in such a fashion it makes it near impossible for the till assistant to view what customers have on their trays, so customers are required to lift off and hold up their intended purchases so they can be entered on to the till, all this takes time and leads to delays and long queues building up. Additionally the card reader has been fitted on a swing arm to the till, its position is not adjustable, thus less than average height customers cannot read the details on the reader, only managing to use the buttons to enter their pin, again this fixture is adding to the delay of processing customers. We noted 8 staff on this operation all standing in a very confined area behind the counter, a case of too many cooks? The till produces a slip to indicate which drinks have been ordered and the member of staff who is making the drinks should collect these and then produce the drinks required, but no, they stood whilst customers were given their change and waited for the till assistant to tell her what drinks were required, again this added to the delays in getting served for everybody. The tilling assistant was far too preoccupied with other things to put much effort in to providing waiting customers with good service, the situation improved after they were taken off the till. We found a table without undue problem, this is only a fifty cover Café and space is limited between the tables, yet there were several buggies placed between the tables, no buggy park had been provided, this lead to problems for both staff and customers to make their way safely around the operation whilst carrying trays of hot food and drinks. Our food arrived hot, so too were our drinks, both were most welcome and whilst the seating area projected a light,bright atmosphere, even half full with diners it was not somewhere to relax and take your time with your food, far too oppressive given the limited space between the tables.

We joined the queue with eight customers in front of us, the queue moved exceptionally slowly, this Café is new, but only one tilling point has been installed, with a very small drinks service area to one side of the till. It took us eighteen minutes to reach the till, the card reader screen cannot be seen by short people, its not adjustable having been bracketed to the till, when passing over hot food to be heated, both customers and staff have to reach over the tilling point, there is no vacant counter to pass items over safely, additionally customers are required to lift items off their trays, so it can be seen by the till operator. We noted eight staff behind the counter even though the working area was reasonably small, indeed it was a case of them getting in each others way. The tilling assistant was slow and had poor communicational skills, having taken our drinks order, her colleague responsible for preparing drinks stood and did nothing, despite knowing what drinks had been ordered, instead she waited till the tilling assistant told her the order details, in spite of the fact the till produces a drinks order slip, their combined performance added considerably to the waiting time for customers queuing. The fact only one till and a small service counter was installed is the main reason for the delays in getting served. We found a table, the place only being half full, but noted the difficulty for both staff and customers to safely move round the Café seating area, due to the large number of buggies left adjacent to tables in the aisles. The hot food was hot on arrival, so too were our drinks, during our stay the palace became busier and more crowded and uncomfortable to remain in, so further drinks were out of the question.

If a store is open until 4pm you should be able to order the menu until 4pm. Arrived at 3:42pm to be told I can’t have a cold drink because they’ve already started tidying up. False advertisement of opening hours.

We are fairly new to the area and popped into what would be our local, whilst the pub itself is fairly well presented, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough, this was spoilt by the excessive foul language coming from people sat at the bar. This was then compounded by at least 2 selfish individuals who thought it was ok to vape inside the pub, subjecting everyone in there to their antisocial habit. As a result this is likely to be our first and only visit.
