Quality ingredients making a varied menu along with hospitable staff make for a pleasant visit. I would advise anyone visiting to either take up sign-language or lip-reading as the acoustics made the atmosphere very poor! It was so noisy, normal conversation was not possible. The fitment of noise reduction equipment would be most beneficial.

Took the family to Marks & Spencer‘s café for lunch and two of the ovens were not working so only toasted sandwiches and soup on offer. This Caffe is in desperate need of an upgrade and an overhaul. Staff are helpful but slow and no one seems to be cleaning the tables. The leaking roof was also a highlight. Really enjoy Marks & Spencer‘s café but would avoid this one in the future.

We visited this week for a coffee. We also ordered some cheese scones with butter. The scones were delicious! The coffee was good. You get 2 hours free parking. The cafe was very busy therefore service was quite slow but still would highly recommend.

Unacceptably slow. Came here for tea/coffee and toasted teacakes before doing our food shopping. It was midweek in November. On our last visit we walked out because we spent so long in the queue but decided to give it another go. Big mistake. Not many people in the queue but the service was totally and unacceptably slow. Plenty of staff on duty but either they dont care or are not up to the task. People were only ordering drinks and cakes, scones etc so I dread to think what a lunch time service would be like. 5 more minutes and we would have walked out again. The tables were also dirty and many had used trays on all the time we were there. Tea was tasteless and not offered jam with the toasted teacake. The coffee was good. If there is a Manager of the Cafe they need replacing and the staff need a good shake up and training. Such a shame.

Went to Marks and Spencer Newport Isle of Wight yesterday to get some shopping. After shopping we were going to have lunch in the cafe. When we walked in to the Cafe nearly all the tables were in a mess where They had not been cleared, also there was a sign displayed to say there is no Coffee available due to not having a person to make the coffee. Very disappointing Marks and Spencer is a business I always praise up and give a 5 star ☆☆☆☆☆ ++++++ BUT AFTER YESTERDAY'S EXPERIENCE THAT WAS NOT THE CASE IN THE IN-STORE RESTAURANT POOR MANAGEMENT OR NO MANAGEMENT IS THE ANSWER. Whilst shopping in the store there were plenty of M&S staff standing around talking to each other. Might be a good idea in future if such persons were sent to help out the struggling restaurant. In the end we went to Godshill for lunch.

I find the cafe can be a bit noisy due to the hard industrial decor, but the food and drink is normally good. This time however we had the worse coffee we have had for a long time. Presumably the dishwasher was out so take-out style paper cups were all they had. That’s OK but our large Americano coffees were incredibly weak and I suspect we had the right amount of ground coffee for a small cup which was topped up with twice the amount of hot water to fill our large cup. We drank a quarter and left the rest. I notified one of the staff and she didn’t seem bothered at all, and if that’s the case I am not bothered to hurry back for dishwater coffee.

M&S £5.95 breakfast - cold, rubbery scrambled egg, cold bacon and tough toast - not impressed. The fish finger sandwich was OK but not very hot (supposed to be a hot sandwich.) I left a note on a napkin and put in on the tray. Coffee was good though. We live on the IOW and don't think we'll be visiting again, there are much better cafes on the IOW than M&S. There was also a big sign on the way in for a Chicken, Feta and Cucumber wrap. When I asked for it there were none available.

Have visited the M&S cafe several times now and enjoyed every visit. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable for good quality fresh coffee/food. They now have good Covid measured in place with hand sanitiser available etc. You can also park for 2 hours free at M&S.

Went in twice for breakfast and both times very good. Scrambled eggs, toast on both occasions- and coffees- all tasty and served piping hot. Unlike some of the reviews here I found the staff to be friendly and helpful- despite some of the customers who seemed to be bad tempered and eager to find problems.

First let Mr say I was buying a suit for my sons wedding. Such a big choice felt overwhelmed Noel the shop sales man could not have been more helpful and he soon had me suited and ordered the size from the depot he was polite curtiouse at all times Thank you for your great service. After we bought my suit thought we would try out the coffee shop. What a disaster service was very poor and the staff arrogant and they do not listen got the coffee mixed up and although they changed it but very reluctant. The tables had not been cleaned very well and lots of mess around. The food was took but 15 pound for two sandwiches and two cups of coffee is completely overcharged. Will never go in again and will tell all who ask what I thought. Come on M&S after more than 100years you should be able to organize and serve your customers better

I've been to the M&S cafe many times now, mainly at the suggestion of older relatives who seem to like it and a few times just because its convenient to grab lunch if you're shopping in the store. However I'd never choose it as a destination...1) It gets busy. The tables are fairly packed in and its difficult to get through even just with people. Often though there are lots of prams/buggies/wheelchairs which people struggle to park up at their tables, and then its like a maze trying to squeeze through. To add to this there's no trolley area for people to leave their trolley full of shopping as some cafes have so trolleys are sometimes also at tables. Just not enough space really. 2. Staff are mixed - some are friendly and helpful, some aren't, a few are really quite abrupt/borderline rude. On one occasion we had an elderly relative in a wheelchair and various bags etc and in trying to get settled at a table had knocked over our order number without realising. When she found us the lady was quite rude about it saying she'd been walking round for ages looking for us. I realise it must have been annoying and we apologised strongly but this didnt seem to be accepted - we still got a bit of a lecture.3. Service isn't great. Tables aren't cleared quickly and if you sit at one with crumbs etc they generally wont bother to clean it at all once it's occupied. The high chairs are sometimes very dirty. Simple things like stocking cutlery and napkins often isn't done.4. The food is served hot and is okay... but average. I find the hot food quite overpriced (a set menu and price for M&S cafes of course) and you have to order exactly as the menu suggests, you cant swap a side for another for example. Here is a photo of a jacket potato priced at £4.95... compared to some of the jackets you can get at nearby independent cafes or in pubs on the Island I find these small and the garnish a bit sad too.So its not a winner for me... if you have time, go elsewhere in town.

I came in today at my wits end with trying to find bras 4 my 14 year daughter... she has a large cup size so difficult to buy 4 and I can honestly say we have been all round the island, Southampton and Portsmouth including such brands as Victoria secret and we've never been treated as well as we were today. I believe her name was Gina and not only did she make me and my 14 yr old feel completely comfortable but she found my daughter not 1 but 7 bras that were suitable 4 her cup size and age... I will never bra shop anywhere else!!! My daughter feels uncomfortable bra shopping not just cos she's 14 but because she has large chest and Gina actually made it fun 4 her and made her feel normal ( which I don't think she's ever felt) absolute god send 4 a young lady and her mum.. thanku Gina you were fab, we will see you again soon... bikinis next and we're looking 4ward to it 4 the first time... can't thank u enough!!!!

Everytime i get to have a look at Costa Newport Shropshire website, the thin that greets me on the Google listing is a review from trip adivsor and this is 10 - yes ten - years old!! It say it is" the worst Costa ever". I am a local elderly lady and I go down there 2-3 times a week. I go on my own. The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is warm and homely. The seats are comfortable and padded. It upsets me that Trip-Advisor can keep plugging this ten year old review. How dare they do this!! it is shocking. I havent dont a trip advisor review for 2-3 years, but I am fed up with this report. Please take it off.

It's very busy in the summer season, but it still manages to produce great food. In the winter, it's the one pub that is consistently open, no matter what the weather or footfall. Throughout the winter, there are special deals on meals, which are cooked to a very high standard. The staff are really friendly and helpful and if you want any changes to your meal, they are only too willing to help. If you come to Yarmouth pop in, you will be looked after and enjoy a lovely meal and beverage of your choice. The location is great, but the phone signal is very poor. You may have to walk up the peir.

We had a poor dining experience, one meal in particular, the stir fry chicken was very strange with slices of raw tomato and bottled silverside onions. The other meals were indifferent, chips not really hot, a real bugbear with me as it's something that's so easy to get right. They close tomorrow until March so were obviously just not that bothered and keen to get off home. It's a shame as it's an attractive venue with live music and a real nautical vibe.
