Mark's Kitchen in South Norfolk

i was really hungry , so i went for the big breakfast, i couldn't fault it,and your coffee or tea was in the price

Called in for a meal on a Sunday. The place was clean and the service was helpful and friendly. The portions were plentiful and reasonably priced. The only cafe open in the village on a Sunday

We stopped off here for a quick lunch, the menu is extensive lots to choose from, everything is freshly cooked, I enjoyed my ham and cheese panini with chips , portions were good , prices are reasonable for what we had, as long as your not looking for a gourmet eatery , you won’t go far wrong .

Always had good, hot food from here. It's a traditional cafe, portions are very generous. All day breakfast, including vegetarian. Panninis, omelettes, chips, salads etc. Simple, freshly cooked food Prices cannot be complained about. A busy mid morning to late lunch cafe is a GOOD cafe. If you want to adjust the menu to suit you, they just do it. Harleston offers plenty of nearby parking.

Took mum and daughter in for lunch, very disappointed with baguettes mum had bacon and egg bacon, not sure what sort of egg it should have been very questionable, but I had a sausage baguette for nearly £5 and it was a baguette with one sausage cut in half in. I try to support all the local eateries when I can but won’t be going back.

Been here a couple of times. Really good breakfasts. Plenty of it and hot. On the last visit I was ignored for a while at the counter whilst waiting to place an order. The attitude from the girls was a bit surly, but seemed to cheer up a bit later on. Overalk, a good cafe at reasonable prices. Advert say, you get what you pay for!! But they were a bit better than that. Will use this cafe again...

The food was cheap and nasty but the price was too expensive for what it was. Got the order wrong twice. Would not recommend

Went out for some food with friend, Staff were rude and Spent £8 on a rustlers microwave burger and chips!!!

Went here for breakfast today, big breakfast and it was fantastic , freshly cooked with plenty of the plate, the best breakfast I've ever had in the UK tbh , go try it for yourself you won't be disappointed..

We enjoy a Turkish coffee here sometimes which is served with a gorgeous Turkish delight treat. There are always people tucking into hot breakfasts and comforting warm fare.

Been a few times and always very impressed. On most recent visit had poached eggs which were excellent. Poached eggs can prove difficult to get just right, these were the best I have had for a long time. Prices are very reasonable and staff are polite and attentive. Excellent!!

Lovey wee cafe that does a great Mediterranean breakfast incl. halloumi, turkish sausage, poached eggs, toast, sun dried tomatoes, olives, feta and honey. Really good value too at £6.95pp. The turkish coffee is spot on too, recommended!

We had a lovely birthday lunch yesterday. The food was ample and delicious,and the staff were most helpful, as two of our guest were in wheel chairs. The only down-side is the toilet is up a stair or two.{there are disabled toilet facilities in the public car park3-4 minutes away] Well done Marks Kitchen.

Cheap and cheerful greasy spoon. Staff are all foreigners and sometimes mess up the orders. Cheapest cafe in Harleston.

I went here with to grab some lunch with my boyfriend and it really couldn't have gone worse. First I had my meal way before my boyfriend got his, they didn't bring the food over at the same time. He also ordered a side of chips that never arrived. The food was really below average and just seemed cheap and poor quality. Then when we went to pay the cook was arguing out in the open with a waitress- very unprofessional. It was obvious that the cook was making mistakes as we were not the only ones there not to get what we ordered and it just seemed like the cook was just shouting rather than admitting he was in the wrong, the worrying thing was that it wasn't even busy and he was making big mistakes like missing a ladies order off of another table.

The menu is extensive, there's something for everyone. There are plenty of menus and condiments on the tables. They will happily put together any meal you like. The service is fast and very friendly. There's free WiFi too!

Fuimos un domingo para el desayuno. La comida era muy buena, caliente y sabrosa. Recomiendo encarecidamente el té de menta. . Mejor que he probado en mi vida, la única decepción fue la falta de gluten desayuno gratis, las cosas podrían ser eliminado, pero no sustituido. Triste en este día y edad con muchos de nosotros que no incluso el pan tostado puede ser swopped. . Pero aún así volver

Local to establishment. Food's good, friendly staff, great service and quick to serve you. Never disappointed.

He comido aquí varias veces y siempre disfrutamos de la comida, hay una buena selección en el menú para satisfacer todos los gustos.

Ha sido para el almuerzo que tuvimos el bistec y budín de riñón con puré de patatas y verduras que estaba bien cocinada y el tamaño de la porción era grande, si hubiera sido un poco más pequeña que aún han sido felices. Es un lugar que le pop en nuevo cuando estamos en Harleston.

Went for breakfast with my wife... It's under new ownership so know where near as good as was before ... Deep fried sausage and bland ingredients ... Please serve better quality and I will return . Good service .

En un viaje reciente a Harleston, un cambio, la otra mitad decidió que era el hambre, como de costumbre! Decidimos ir a la cocina marcas. Yo no había estado allí ya que había cambiado de manos, y me preguntaba cómo sería. No hay necesidad de preocuparse, pedí el número desayuno 1 y la otra mitad tenía un gran desayuno. El huevo frito fue sustituido por revueltos y morcilla cambiado por extra croquetas de patata como solicitado, no hay problema. El café blanco ordenados era un poco demasiado para mi gusto, pero la vía láctea era feliz con su novio.

Went for breakfast with the wife here in august 2016. Hospitality was plane, and the table set up was like sitting in a smokey jazz bar due to cooking oil smell breezing through and stinging my eyes. I mean come on seriously use an fan blow it out rear of kitchen not onto the guests. The food was average, need to be taught to cook fried eggs as mine and my wife came out looking like they had been cooked inside a cement mixer. Bacon was dry with fat still transparent around edge. Sausages to be fair lovely. But worst thing was I found a hair from the girl who served us in my food, and my wife had dust around the rim of her cappuccino? Wash your cups properly. Overall sadly I wouldn't come back. But thanks for the breakfast, first impressions and all that.

Have had a lunch and a breakfast at various times and found the food plentiful and well cooked. Clean ,pleasent surroundings.

Have been in here in the last month we were served quite quickly and staff pleasant . We had two English breakfasts which when came were hot and very enjoyable . I would definatley go back again

Had lunch here with my daughter and her Nana and we all enjoyed our meal. Great value for my quarter pounder and my daughter's beef burger, both with chips. Very tasty and good atmosphere. Will certainly visit again when in the area.

It is a Cafe that we visit regularly on our way to Norwich .The breakfast is so nice . we are very pleased with the staff , always helpfull and nice . Also they serve the best coffee in Harleston ..

Pop in for lunch last week in this lovely cafe ... ordered ciabatta sandwich and english breakfast ... food was delicious!... Staff is very helpful and nice especially the new cypriot manager and lithuanian girl ! ... will definitely go there again ! ... bless them! x

Have eaten here half a dozen times now food is always good and staff are friendly and helpful the man who runs it is lovely. Will definitely go again soon .

Popped in to Marks Kitchen last Wednesday for breakfast. Both ordered a sausage sandwich of which they were proud to announce that the sausages were bought from a very reputable butchers in the town. There was no choice of brown or white bread and the white bread was obviously old bread from Tuesday (possibly Monday )! On opening up the sandwich the sausages had been taken from the fridge, flattened down on the griddle and thinly sliced into four, to fill the sandwich. They were dry and burnt and undigestable. Perhaps this place is good for other meals, but if you want a nice breakfast, avoid at all costs!

My partner persuaded me to go to Marks Kitchen for breakfast one day, what a mistake.I have never had a plate of such tasteless food, greasy and indigestible. Lesson learned.

This has been taken over by new management, and they have carried on the good work that was done before.You now have an even larger menu, and the food is just as good.Service and value are 1st class.Great place to have breakfast and start your day on top form.

Visited for a family lunch. The staff were very friendly but the service was quite slow. Although we all enjoyed our food we were disappointed that the dishes were not home made. There were no promises that dishes were home made, but when I go out to eat and pay for a meal I expect someone to have actually cooked it for me. Having said that, there was a good choice on the menu and it is good value for money.

Best place in Harleston for a full English. Unpretentious but comfortable cafe with friendly service.

We were staying in the area for a week and Popped in on the off chance for a sandwich lunch. Staff were very pleasant and they had a good menu. I had a panini and my husband had a baguette with ham and cheese. We ordered a pot of tea for two which was perfect as we had two cups each. Some people were having late full breakfasts and they were large. They also did lots of other dishes including roast dinners which were very reasonably priced. Lovely and would definitely recommend it.

First 6 friends and I went for morning tea and cake. It was lovely. Some of the party left and 3 of us stayed for luch. We had delicious roast lamb and very fresh vegatables. It was a generous portion and good value for money. Service and atmosphere was good. Will go again. I have viewed them in the beginning of joining Tripadvisor but it was taken over by someone else. So we decided to go and test the water and was pleasantly surprised.

After waiting for the new marks kitchen to open my friends and I went in this morning for breskfast and I must say worth the wait my full english was just perfect and the coffee was lovely. We will certainly be going back

My husband and I sometimes come to Mark's Kitchen for breakfast on a Saturday if we're out and about, they do a great breakfast which includes a vegetarian option (which I always have!) Everything's cooked well, they use free range eggs and real butter!! Service is, without fail friendly and efficient - well worth a visit!

In recent months we've been to Mark's for morning coffee, afternoon tea and a full lunch and we have never been disappointed - good service, good food and a lovely friendly ambiance. I can thoroughly recommend the liver & bacon main and the sticky toffee pudding!2 mains, 1 pudding, 2 glasses of excellent red wine and 2 coffees for under £25!

I can here a few weeks ago with my dad and my son for breakfast. We were catered to our every need. I didn't even have to ask for a highchair, the girl brought it straight out. The food is excellent with a great selection of meals and really reasonably priced! I highly recommend this place!

I haven't been to Harleston for years but there are now a wealth of eating places but if you fancy a roast lunch any day of the week then go to Mark's for a good plate full all freshly made! It is a very popular place especially on Wednesdays which is market day. The menu is very varied with sandwiches or pies, tea or coffee and cake but above all a warm welcome from very friendly staff. A great place to meet friends for lunch or a cuppa! it's not on the main street but just round the back.

I'm often in Marks Kitchen, Lovely staff, nice food, very busy little place with a great reputation! loads of regulars who adore the staff! highly recommend the steak and ale pie! NOM!
