A good selection. We had toasted sandwiches which were all lovely. We also had a kids meal deal (plus a free piece of fruit) which was good too. Staff very friendly. Only let down were the very clean but tired toilets. Only two for ladies, poor layout and tired looking.

Lovely coffee and bacon roll. Roomy seating and very pleasant staff. We visited on the day their dishwasher was broken so had paper plates, cups etc. but did not impact our visit.

Having visited both Coventry cathedrals in the morning, we decided on an early lunch and decided to go into Marks and Spencer's. At 11-50a.m. we tried to order the sausage ciabatta "All day Brunch", only to be told there wasn't any sausages! So we tried to order two Bacon ciabatta's only to be informed there was only one left!!! How can a store/cafe as big as Marks in a main city run out of supposedly "All Day Brunch" food at 11-50 in the morning. I have written to both the manager here and head office but not had the courtesy of a reply which only goes to show the contempt in which they hold their customers. Ironically we have recently returned from a city trip to Hamburg. In the 5 days we used the cafe's etc, not once had any of them run out any items on the menu!

I visited the M&S Cafe at West Orchard today. The whole of the time we were there not one member of staff cleared or wiped down the tables. The majority of people who visited were over 65yrs old & had to clear a table to make it free to sit at themselves, not to mention none of them were wiped down in between. 5 members of staff behind the counter & not one came out to help

Disappointing that staff didn’t adhere to distance regs. One man wandered about cleaning tables but didn’t wear a mask and didn’t respect 1 m rule never mind 2 m one! Only small screen at till but no screen where have to order food etc and no staff wore masks. Didn’t feel safe.

Opted to stop by at M&S Café for something light to eat. Chose two dishes: a vegetarian spicy lentil soup and a crispy chicken burger. Both were more than adequate and definitely ensured our hunger pangs were quelled. The lentil soup had a pleasant yet small heat kick.The waiting staff were extremely polite and helpful, making sure I was okay with wheat being in the soup after I asked for a gluten-free bread roll instead of the regular ones. Not that I am gluten-free, but this clearly demonstrates they were attentive enough to check the soup ingredients before it was dishes up. Kudos.

I brought some food from the food hall and went to the cafe to have a sit and eat there. Because I did it when I was in London. Then, the guy staff came to me and said I can’t sit here and eat here because the cafe just for everyone who order in the cafe. Then I told him I’ll buy some from the cafe, could I sit here? The guy staff said NO (even I buy from the cafe). That was very weird, impolite, and doesn’t make sense. I’ll tell this to my friends and suggest them to not to go M&S.

Plain and pleasant great for business meeting . Friendly staff who will serve you quickly. Small variety of foods especially there crisps cremme dill a creme .

Just had a lovely coffee and cream scone thereThe girl behind the till was all by herself but she managed to still be polite and friendly it was so hot but she was greatApprox 3 ish on Friday 26th July so she should be commended

My friend & I visited this cafe around 2pm on a Friday. It was half empty & we ordered a latte & hot chocolate. Although there was plenty of staff behind the counter, service was slow. My hot chocolate was not hot, but warm & my friend was not happy with her cool latte! As customers left, their tables were uncleared, while staff stood around talking. When we left, a quick look around the room gave the impression was of a cafe that had been overrun with customers - cups, plates, rubbish all covered the table tops, making the place look very up Inviting! Given that me&s are regarded as a top quality store, this is very disappointing! Maybe sending in mystery shoppers with cameras would highlight the reason it’s getting a bad name!

I never knew what I was missing until my visit this afternoon. I like shopping at M&S but never really dropped into the cafe. Tried their salted caramel latte and I don't regret it at all. A huge mug of amazing coffee.The scrambled eggs on toast was a meal in itself; filling and sumptuous. Excellent and friendly staff, lovely ambience, peaceful and calm. Loved it.It surely ticks all the boxes for me... Must visit for a cup of coffee while shopping.

Visiting Coventry for the weekend and in need of a late breakfast/early lunch. Good choice of freshly cooked or prepared food. Usual choice of coffee which irritates me. Caffeinated or not, black and white is all you need. And tea. Only drink tea. Busy but found a table and enjoyable as well. Always good food at marks and sparks.

Typical M&S cafe, good range of snacks, sandwiches and cakes. Service really slow most of the time when I have visited, which is very frustrating, and not always due to the cafe being busy. However, the coffee and food is worth the wait.

Como te gusta esperar a M&S, no es el más barato, pero la calidad es muy buena. Llamé en su hora de almuerzo con la planificación y fue satisfecho con la selección y calidad de las comidas. Buen servicio, desde mi punto de vista, yo estaba limitado en tiempo, pero fui atendida rápidamente y con una sonrisa. Una sonrisa realmente marcan la diferencia!

Good, Clean and Airy restaurant food very expensive for what it is , but good , small portions for the price paid. Staff polite and efficient.

15 minutes queue and still got order wrong. Assistants seemed to be duplicating tasks instead of having a system. Tables dirty. Milk in chipped jug. Not a relaxing experience!

Much to crowded not enough staff tables covered in waste food used plates cups etc Sandwiches expensive and when asked toasted must been through microwave (horrid) sorry marks now over priced need more staff keep up with mess euk!! Wont using again

I Would Not Come Here For A Meal-----A Snack e.g. Scone Or Cake . It Always Seems Busy For Elevensies .

Dos de café, pan tostado, torta disfrutamos de té y un bollo como una escapada de compras. El pastel de té y un bollo eran sabrosas y lleno de frutas y el café muy a nuestro gusto. Había un ambiente concurrido contento todo presidido por un personal amable y feliz.

Hable con un amigo para tomar el té de la tarde, utilizando uno de sus bonos especiales. El personal no estaban seguros acerca de esto, así que perder tiempo esperando mientras me lo solucionaron. Tomó tres miembros de personal para hacerlo. Mientras tanto, la cola era un edificio con nadie sirve! La comida y la bebida eran excelentes, pero dado que esto es un M&S; puede esperar el café personal sea más profesional que este. Por lo menos deberían saber las ofertas de su compañía ofrece, dado que ha estado funcionando durante más de una semana en ese momento. Has sido advertido!

Me encantan sus bollos de queso, delicioso! Me gusta ir después del almuerzo ya que se llena. Han sido recientemente dieron nuevas mesas que son mucho mejor que los viejos, que utilizan para tinción. Muy amable y todo se tome su bandeja de mesa si tienes que luchar con tiendas.

This is a small shop cafe it was clean and tidy and coffee was nice but expensive they do food but not a massive range I had toast which was white bread one side toasted the other had not browned the butter was hard and wouldn't melt on the toast but hey ho the restaurant is nicely decorated and it felt cosy

It's on the first floor, access by escalator or elevator, it is clean, the staff very pleasant, the food a bit of the 'fast food' style, prices acceptable...what else?...well, it's a café...

I'm not a frequent visitor to Coventry City centre. Let's face it it's not what it used to be. We tend to go further afield to shop. On Friday we went for breakfast to the cafe in Marks and Spencer in The Precinct. First thing was that there were staff milling around with one woman serving....unsurprisingly getting behind and it was a slow process. I asked for the Greek yoghurt breakfast and was told they had none...no other explanation....( there's a food hall downstairs with all the ingredients) clearly they can't be bothered. The tables were sticky and hadn't been wiped ....the whole place wasn't the standard we've come to expect in m&s .....Unlike the Arena store and the Leamington Spa branch the staff seemed like everything was too much effort and the customers were a nuisance....Shan't bother going back .....not recommended.

While on short visit to Coventry and stranger to city I thought safe bet would be to use M&S cafe for quick lunch break. This was my first mistake service indifferent food weak watered down soup and to add to misery of experience surrounded by filthy tables. Waitress staff cleared away used dishes but not one table was wiped down after use just rows of dirty tables surrounded us. My second mistake was visiting store toilets again my mistake for assuming M&S would have standards, not so filthy uncleaned toilets. Just not the standard we would have expected from M&S.

Went to M&S café today.Dirty tables, hardly any cutlery and out of what there was were quite a few with bits of food still on them.Had to wait 10 mins to get a clean knife and it took ages to get served because apparently the till was faulty.You would think that they could afford to buy a new one and to teach their staff that stale food on clean cutlery is not a good advertisement.

We go to Marks and Spencers because we enjoy their cake and cups of tea.However the tables are never cleaned.The waitress will put food and drink on the table while leaving dirty cups on the table from the last people expecting us to eat our food while smelling stale coffee from the previous people's cups.I had to ask her to clear the dirty cups away to which she was very hesitant and had to think about it and then she finally did take them away.This was after walking past our table several times and seeing the dirty cups there.I have seen people take their own wipes to wipe their table down. VERY UNHYGIENIC CAFE

The cafe is definatly M & S, not cheapest but bestest for coffee and cakes, better than the coffee houses that blight most town centres.

Its OK for a drink or quick snack, but doesn't justify the high end prices that M&S seem to charge for everything in their stores. Plenty of other places that have better ambiance for same prices.

Came for lunch, it was a good place to pop into while shopping. The tables were clean and the food came out in a reasonable time. My mum and I both had toasties which we thought were nice but Costa's are much nicer with more selection for a similar price.

I regularly meet my mum here for a drink and a chat. It's a busy cafe but the staff are always very lovely. Soya milk hot chocolate and an iced fruit bun are all vegan and delicious as a treat!

A bit of an institution now, M&S cafe's, a moderate selection of food, a bit pricey and snails pace service when busy. A meeting place for the mature female shopper who like a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Hold on to your shopping bags, you're in Coventry

lovely, relaxing area and very clean, tea & coffee lovely and couldn't resist the cakes they were nice and fresh.

Whenever I used to pass by I always used to get good smell, so one day I went there. They always have fresh bakery items and the food was really awesome. Loved It..!!!!

A good place to have sit down whilst sightseeing and shopping. A good choice of food and drinks at a reasonable price. You know what you're getting at M&S and this M&S in Coventry didn't disappoint.

Good choice of food with comfortable armchairs / sofas to recline on, also have some drawing material for children.

We arrived at the cafe found a table dirty dirty chairs, my sister queued to order and I found two members to tell the table and chairs needed wiping, they both said in a minuet. We had my mother with us in a wheelchair and wanted to sit her In a chair. We ordered our food got our drinks. The food took 20 mins to come they were cheese toasters just needed heating. We did get another hot drink as ours had been drunk or gone cold by the time the toasties had arrived. Loads of staff around bad management never again

The cafe is clean and the food on offer good. The service can be slow but I think that sometimes reflects who is in the queue in front not knowing what they want rather than the staff. Our daughter likes to eat cake with a fork, cutlery isn't help yourself, you have to ask for it. Cakes are good.

I have to be honest and say that my eating experience at this cafe is not that great. as Marks and Spencer go its food is very good, the portion sizes are okay. where it is let down is the service. but not in that the people serving you are poor, no they are working their socks off. it is just that there are not enough people to serve fast enough. which often leads to a queue out the door and exasperated customers and staff. Its a nice place to eat it just could do with more staff.

Marks and Spencers own food, served in a convenient, clean tidy cafe. Always a short queue, efficient service. Very dependable.
