I know it's only an M&S cafe but it was really good ! Delicious fresh baked scones, still warm & crumbly, good selection of sandwiches / light bites. It's small, but it's very comfortable & was air conditioned on a very hot day.

Conveniently situated in store. Helpful staff, descent tasty Lunch/Breakfast sandwiches cakes etc. Good variety of hot and cold drinks. Bit of issue with some customers taking up seating whilst companions in queuing , making it difficult for people who have already paid as has previously been mentioned. Tricky issue to resolve for staff. All in all a good safe option.

Worst toasted sandwich ever, the fact it looked like a toasted sandwich , but tasted like it had been warmed up in a microwave as it was so soft unlike proper toast but when I mentioned it to the staff, they weren’t really interested, just said I could have had another one, and nobody else had complained….no apology, but WHY would I want another one if it was obviously going to be the same…. ah well. Back to Costa where you can guarantee a nice proper toastie…

I wanted to leave a glowing review for Hayley who looked after me so kindly today whilst I was at the cafe. She served me a very tasty Eggs Royale. Hayley was so lovely taking great care to present a beautiful brunch for me- she even had to go down to the shop floor to get smoked salmon as they had run out- in spite of this, my breakfast was served promptly. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend coming to the cafe to experience not just the high quality food but also the warm and friendly staff. 10/10! Many thanks, Kate Duke

We visited cafe this afternoon and witnessed some very rude customers reserving tables whilst their friends/ family were in a long queue therefore preventing customers who already had their order from sitting down. Would like to praise Debbie who was constantly reminding those people they could not reserve tables and was at times treated very rudely by those customers. Some even returning to another table after being told they could not reserve a table...Well done Debbie. Xx Judy

All I wanted was a cup of tea and a latte. It took at least 20 minutes queueing. Very poor service M and S. Need to sort yourselves out

While shopping in town decided to take the weight off and have tea and cappuccino.Asked for a fresh lemon instead of a lemon and ginger tea bag and this was given me without a problem.Cappuccino was tasty but £2.75 for a regular size is a little bit pricey.Prompt service and table clearance

Oh dear, what was happening in the M&S cafe today? No trays, sloppy service, no tables cleared! Nothing like the standard one expects from M&S. I ordered soup and, as there were no trays, it was delivered to my table (the only one available that was clear) by the member of staff who served me. I looked at this bowl of 'lava' bubbling away like a volcano about to explode. It was the temperature of the sun and quite inedible for some long time. In fact, I asked for a spare bowl so that I could tip it from one to the other to cool it down. The bread rolls were lovely but unfortunately I accidentally dropped one half on the floor and there it stayed. Eventually I was able to drink my soup which was OK but when I got up from the table to get the spare bowl, the table wobbled and spilled my coffee all over the table! The whole place had a feeling of poor service because they were so under-staffed. Having said that, why serve soup that was so boiling hot that it was dangerous to try and eat? Must do better.

As it was a busy weekend in Stratford we thought we could rely on M and S to provide a decent cup of tea and a scone, but no! What a disappointment. After a 15 minute wait in a queue of only 6 people we found no scones left, few sandwiches and managed a tea cake between two! It still took a further 10 minutes for the toasted tea cake to arrive. There was only one person trying to take the orders and your money and then making the hot drinks. Not sure what the other 4 members of staff were doing. Really poor experience, shame on you Marks and Spencer.

11.30am not very busy. Four staff but it still takes an age to get served. It appears they now have a policy of NOT putting a biscuit with your coffee- you have to ask for it. Two people in front of me did just that . I waited to see what happened with mine. Had paid already, so waited whilst it was being made, it was put on my tray. No biscuit. So I asked if they were available, and the server went under the founder and got me two. Come on M and S -- really !!

In a near empty restaurant I waited for what felt like ages to order a cup of coffee. There were two people in front of me and I wanted to ask them if it was still June!!. I have experienced this in an M&S; cafe before, service so slow you feel ready to start writing your memoirs.

A reasonable place to eat lunch or tea, although lacking in ambiance. Located inside the Marks & Spencer shop, here you can have tea, coffee or M&S; prepared drinks and there is a range of sandwiches or some hot toasties. I think they have soup and a few other things too.

The drinks and food were as expected in a Marks and Spencer. The staff pleasant and attentive and the surroundings agreeable. There is plenty of competition in Stratford and this the first time we have used this café. We will return.

This is the service you expect from M&S.; The food was lovely and the drinks generous. We stopped for a pit stop whilst visit Stratford-Upon-Avon. We had teacakes and drinks and they were lovely. The staff were really friendly and polite despite it being very busy. You are never let down by M&S;.

This is a typical Marks and Spencer's cafe but you know what you will get. What you get is high quality, cleanliness and polite staff. You also get good toilet facilities. The menu is iconic and typical of such cafes but offers comforting, familiar food of good quality.

We have found only one place(in the Jewellrey Quarter) in the UK to equal Marks and Spencer's carrot cake . It is absolutely delicious and they serve good coffee too at reasonable prices - not the stupidly high prices of the coffee chains. The staff also give service with a smile.

Visited for a hot drink and a cake, hot chocolate and mocha reasonable . service however awful. Restaurant very quiet, but staff busy messing about, stood for some time waiting to be served ,finally catching the eye of a very sullen woman who could barely be bothered to even enquire what I would like. No customer service skills what so ever. Expected better I'm afraid

Standard range of sandwiches/toasties and limited hot food. Good value for Stratford. Not a place to linger and popular at lunchtimes so not always easy to get a table. Nice range of cakes on offer

We called in for a cream tea on Saturday 21st July 2017. This was reasonably priced and very tasty. Staff were very busy but coped well with a sudden rush of customers when it started raining outside. Tables were kept clean and were cleared promptly.

Usually an interesting place for cars and stop for some lunch. Charged £10 to attend, lunch order was forgotten so had to chase and reorder - took over an hour. Not many cars there, I think I took the most interesting and we were just passing. I've been previously when it's been a lot better

Coffee was ok. Staff were lovely. But, for the price, the portions of cake were tiny. And the banana cake was dry and tasteless. Not great.

Food arrived at different times, one had been forgotten about, basic and limited menu in cardboard boxes Wine overpriced, coffee that bad my friend couldn't drink it. Bar staff all seemed miserable and stressed. Poor waitress was alone on a packed Saturday. Plus points, gorgeous building and setting. Lots of screens playing sport. We have always met here but won't bother again
