Marks and Spencer in Bracknell Forest

What has happened to M&S. Never had such a bad experience in any shop. The Manager of the Bracknell store Laura was so rude. Interrupting when I tried to make my point and so condescending in her attitude. They've lost this customer.

Today my husband and I decided to go to M&S in Bracknell for breakfast. I can honestly say it was the most terrible experience I won't be repeating. First a sign to say dishwasher broken & therefore everything would be served on paper cups & plates, this wasn't a problem but the coffee that was made was cold. Myself & the customer before me both returned & asked for them to be remade only to be told the hot water tap hadn't been turned on and it takes 30 minutes to heat up. That was bad enough but worse was to come when the food came out! We'd ordered a bacon ciabatta roll, sausage ciabatta roll & a teacake. What we got was 2 slices of dry bread, 3 tiny sausages & some bacon. No butter, no apology it was totally disgusting. So disappointed in M&S this really is not what you'd expect.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Marks & Spencer restaurant in the Lexicon Bracknell on Tuesday, 30/01. My simple order of avocado on toast took an unacceptably long 30 minutes to arrive, during which time I was seated in an uncomfortably cold room. Furthermore, the meal, which cost £5, was served on a paper plate, a presentation I find unacceptable for the price. The salad and cutlery presentation also left much to be desired. It's disheartening as I've always seen Marks & Spencer as a standard-bearer for quality service and customer satisfaction. This visit did not live up to the standards I've come to expect from your brand. When I shared my concerns with customer service, they only provided excuses. Marks & Spencer should address these issues to prevent future guests from having similarly disappointing experiences. I will NEVER again, use the Bracknell Restaurant

Bad service,worst actually…biggest restaurant in the shopping centre and they don’t serve english breakfast only stupid poached eggs with some streaky bacon..no butter and so on….such a shame when you’ve god the food hall underneath…can you send the stupid manager to Spain or Italy maybe he will learn what breakfast means…don’t come here

We stopped for a coffee & a snack . Waited a long time for anyone to appear at the service point? Had 2 small pizzas & 2 slices of cake. When staff eventually turned up was told oven had been switched off & "They" had gone home??? ( it was just before 4oclock!!?) . I appreciate staffing is an issue at the moment but there were staff around, just no one to turn on an oven apparently? Someone needs to take charge of this place as staff appear very dis interested & definitely not customer lead! We won't be visiting again .

Went to m and s cafe to with a client had the turkey and veg soup with a bread roll the roll was so highly microwaved it was scorching hot had to tear it apart as was unable to cut with a knife it was so chewy it nearly pulled my teeth out so was unable to eat it the soup was very salty and veg nearly raw what little veg it had in it very minimal turkey also this is not the first bad meal iv had here ordered cake a few weeks ago and it was so dry it was inedible

I visited with my elderly mum on a Tuesday lunchtime. Access to the cafe is only via the tills as every other route is blocked off so that customers cannot take a seat whilst another in their party places their order. This made it very difficult to manoeuvre in the narrow space around the till for anyone with a wheelchair or mobility scooter and leaves customers standing in a long queue which is not good for the elderly or those who cannot stand comfortably for any length of time. The queue was long as there was only one person making hot drinks which take a little time to prepare. Along with a hot drink we ordered soup and a toasted teacake. Whilst waiting for teaspoons (there were none as they were all in the dishwasher apparently) I could see our food sat under the heat lamps. I had to ask a couple of times if I could take our food before it was eventually handed to me by which time it had been under the heat lamps for so long that the accompanying butter had turned to liquid in its pack. I have no problems with the food itself (apart from the liquid butter!) and the staff are doing their best. However, this cafe seems to be severely understaffed which leads to extremely slow service and undermines the good work the staff are trying to do. Sadly we will not be returning as there are a lot of other places in Bracknell where you can get a hot drink and light meal without having to endure this rigmarole

I have visited this cafe a number of times and each time the soup and other items are sold out before 12:30. Staff are abrupt and do not offer any apologies.

first not given receipt waited 20 mins for cold toasted tea cake extremely disorganised no management on duty in the cafe during lunch time observed customers waiting for hot meals to be sent back as they were served cold need a better system to get food to customers quickly and served hot and management need to be more observant and customer friendly

Come here at least once a month for breakfast and always happy with the cooked all day breakfast. Good us fresh and hot, good service.

Had a snack lunch while shopping. Ordered a pizza and tea. Tea was good as usual. However pizza base was soggy and not very good. Could do better.

We had breakfast here at Lexican cafe, it took long time to be served but the quality was good. With the waiting our tea got cold, and Vicki who served us brought us some fresh tea which was nice of her, the atmosphere is nice, relaxing and comfy.

We had afternoon tea at their in-store cafe with scones, jam and clotted cream. It was delicious. The scones could have been warmed through though but they still tasted good.

Went here with our family for a light lunch, We all had baked potatoes with various fillings and we all thoroughly enjoyed them. The serving staff were all friendly and helpful.

Children’s department manager made no attempt to help me or negotiate with me on 23rd November when I tried to exchange my grandsons shoes brought on November 18th He bluntly just said they had been worn which I don’t disagree with (once) but what I do object to is his manner & lack of customer care as you can imagine I will not be visiting this store again.

Me and my partner fancied a cooked breakfast so decided for a change we’ll try marks and Spencer’s. We ordered 2 full marks breakfast and 2 coffees total cost was £27.30. On each plate was 1 sausage, small amount of mushrooms, 2 small tomatoes, 2 bits of bacon , 2 half slices of bread no fried eggs only poached egg in which you have to pay an extra £3.50 and no beans. Don’t think I’ll be having a “marks” breakfast again. What a joke

Went last week and they ran out of breakfasts! Had jacket potstoes,but quite small.Quite expensive,but lovely staff and very clean.

After shopping around in the new Lexicon marks Spencer we went upstairs to eat in the cafe. You pay for your meal on the till. They bring you the cutleries and sauces on the table . You choose your table. Busy on the weekend. We went on weekday afternoon which is quiet.we had fish and chips . The portion is small. The price was reasonable. The cafe had only few selection of hot meal but it’s ok for quick meal. We had fish and chips . There’s a jug of water to take to the table. Clean as it is new MS and only a year opened in Lexicon Bracknell. Good enough for us to eat there. Then some more Restaurant sorrounding by.

I don’t visit here often as I much prefer the efficiency and friendliness of Costa but my mum was paying and she chose here. My goodness what miserable staff. The young girl on the til didn’t smile once. My dad asked for a strawberry milkshake, she had to check if they had any so she went to the serving hatch and asked. She came back and said nothing but typed something in the til. We assumed we were getting the milkshake.

I am, to be honest, disappointed with M&S; with the restaurant. I have eaten in here a couple of times.

Really nasty coffee in cafe, haven't gone back it was so bad. Most of the staff are nice. Easy parking.

Popped in for coffee and a toasted tea cake. Nice clean and tidy place. Staff courteous and polite. Good coffee and tea cake was nice too. One thing that I have noticed is that you now have to ask for your bite size biscuits with your coffee. When I asked why, I was told that people didn’t want them so to cut waste they are not put on the saucer unless asked for. What M & S really mean is that they will save money as people will not ask for them.

Located in M&S; upstairs at the far side. Plenty of spacious seating in a light atmosphere. A selection of hot and cold food options with drinks with a friendly service. Would recommend.

Popped in for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming staff. Those kristy and isobelle girls make quite the team! A very fun atmosphere hidden away in the M&S; cafe. I will be returning for that short blonde, tiny brunette and a croissant.

very nice cafeteria with excellent views of the shopping area. excellent option of breads and tea. I had a light lunch, option of quiches and soup, sandwiches. Be aware may be busy during lunch time but afternoons are quieter.

It's a lovely new boutique store, very fresh, staff very helpful and friendly, restaurant is good as always, needs more coffee tills !! Plus food hall should be larger other wise good.

I went to visit Marks and Spencer at the newly-opened branch in Bracknell yesterday. As it was lunchtime, I went to its cafe on the 2nd level for a meal. There was quite a long queue and all customers had to wait for a long time for their turns to make payments due to some confusion at both tills. The group of young staff (at each till) seemed to be stuck at dealing with the cash-registers! I could understand that they were very young and perhaps that might be their first jobs (especially in a brand new store with brand new machines :-) ) , so I did not mind waiting. When my turn came, a customer before me returned to request for his receipt and then I realised that I was not given any receipt at all. Finally I requested for it and was given mine.
