Market Place Pantry in Warwick

We stopped off here on the way back from visiting family in the North West and what a great find. We had a lovely lunch there and the coffee in particular is worthy of a special mention. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick and we met one of the two brothers! It's dog friendly and they have their own puppy who visits twice a week but, sadly, wasn't there on out visit. If you find yourself in Warwick we would suggest this cafe is well worth a visit. The menu may not be as extensive as some places but we are sure you will find something good to eat- we did. Also they have a well stocked selection of cakes from their own bakery which is just down the road - the cinnamon buns were delicious.

The coffee and pastries are nice, but don’t go for a takeaway it will take forever! Every time I’ve been to get an order to go it takes 30 minutes at least but with no warning, it would definitely be useful if they gave a heads up that they were going to be a while. I understand that it is a small shop and don’t expect it to take 2 minutes but it is a significant wait and detracts from the experience.

This very small little code shop sits right on the main square in Warwick, perfectly located in the middle of the town. Charming is the word to describe it. Only a few spot inside but there are tables outside. The coffee was first rate, and the croissant was as good as any! Friendly service and on a quiet morning it’s a perfect place to be.

What a fabulous place. Just spotted the shop and popped in on the off chance. What a find. The young lady that served me was very patient. Sandwich was toasted to perfection. Haven’t tasted bread like that since I was young lad. Over 60 years ago. What he’d them needing and cutting the dough. Great to see. Coffee tasted of coffee which is revelation these days. Warwick might be famous for its castle but this is a close second. Recommend. I’ll be getting off the M40 again for this, next time I’m passing.

It’s quite simple….the best breakfast and the best bakery in the area….by far. The selection is really wide and I love the variety they keep introducing. Only criticism: bring back kouign amann!!!

We visited the bakery and the bruncherie cafe and were so impressed with both. We picked up the most INCREDIBLE pastries from the bakery - orange and passionfruit Danish and then a white chocolate caramel popcorn cruffin. They were baked to perfection and tasted out of this world. Then we went over to the cafe and ordered bacon and egg on toast, avo and eggs, oat milk Chai latte and Americano. All of it was cooked / prepared perfectly and tasted delicious. We loved talking to Dan about the food on offer, future menus and the upcoming introduction of IPAs, Lager and sours - he is so passionate about his craft(s) and so knowledgeable. What a treat of a morning. Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

Decided to pop inside for refreshments. They had the most beautiful selection of teas so we sampled a dragon tea which was delicious. I also had a bite to eat and opted for a toasted sourdough sandwich filled with mushrooms. It was delicious. Reasonably priced and the staff were helpful, exceptionally efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely atmosphere, the guys are busy creating in the background, kneading dough etc.. dog friendly and people friendly😊 great coffee and amazing cruffins.

This café is located just off the Market Square. It has quite a small interior but some good outside space. It has changed ownership since we last visited and we found it to be much improved. The owners were very pleasant and the coffee was good.

A very nice and cosy spot right next to the market place. I really enjoyed my coffee and a cinnamon roll. Dan and Rob are the best :)

This is a great little cafe, lots of choice when it comes to drinks, I got there a little late in the day but they still had some lovely looking cakes. I opted for the vegan lemon cake, delicious and light. The coffee was fresh brewed and full of flavour. Great service, too. A fab place to meet friends, grab a seat outside and watch the world go by.

Try the morning buns or cinamon buns - really delicious! Terrific coffee which is roasted locally by hand. They open early on a Sunday - at 7:30 - which made this a perfect stop after a run along the river Avon.

Went here on a Saturday morning for quick coffee and croissants before heading home. Staff were pleasant and friendly and the coffee was nice. Croissants were great! Service a little slow, but they have limited space and do the best they can with that. Would definitely visit again ( or maybe try their other cafe)

We were so pleased to find this cafe on a short stay in Warwick. A super-friendly little place with seating inside and out. They make a really excellent cup of coffee; the cortado was sublime. Lovely cakes, including a generous selection of vegan and gluten free options. Brunch options also very good and interesting. Plus, it's just around the corner from the very excellent and well curated Warwick Books!

A true gem: the best café in Warwick! The location with both inside and outside seating beside the market square is definitely in favour of the café. There is always a high quality selection of savoury, sweet and drinks. The coffee is well made, the smoothies are refreshing, the savoury options are delicious and the pastries are incredible. You must try the kouign-amann, for it is the best pastry found in Warwick and one of the best pastries I have ever eaten! It will definitely not disappoint.

Very tempting selection of cakes, but we went for two toasted ham and cheese toasties, a salmon bagel, and a bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado sandwich. Very nice freshly made food, and good coffee. Well presented by friendly staff.

Sadly the staff didnt seem to know what they doing when we visited. There was a huge mess up with drinks. Owner there and aware but too busy chatting to couple with massive dog which was preventing people getting into the cafe. Very tight inside. Outside very pleasant in the square but as a local i know there are better places to go. We drink (when they finally got it right) and eat and left to not return again. a cute cafe shop around corner, it’s a gem of Warwick , very clean and bright , with outside seatings . The girl who is serving is so lovely , I like her a lot . In need of refreshment after walking around the town on a hot day we found this little place tucked away off the main Market Square. Tasty brunch toasties and a delicious milk shake sorted me out nicely. Credit to the staff who remained cheerful and polite despite the demands of a sudden surge of customers who followed us.

Be aware that the scones have nuts in which is unusual. I am well aware that there is signage to say please let us know if you have an allergy, however my mum had an allergic reaction to the walnut scones. It would help to have a sign right next to the scone as you have with the gluten free options. What was most upsetting was the attitude from the lady who served us. If she had been apologetic and concerned for my mum’s health I would have let it slide but she just told us that we should have read the sign.

Great place for coffee and tea. They serve awesome scones as well. This cafe is also very homely and is run by a really nice family. Highly recommend.

Bacon, egg ok sausage no just what’s on the menu - abrupt !! Ordered bacon on toast which was a toastie & advocado & egg. Food was good but £21 with 2 drinks was expensive. Also Sainsbury’s. Visiting Warwick we came here by chance. So pleased with our choices and the coffee was the best I,ve had for a long time. You might have to wait for a table but It will be worth it. Everything was fresh and tasty, the bread was so soft and full of flavour. I had the BLT with salad and avocado, my friends had hot fillings in bagels. Well done to all running this little cafe.

Passing through Warwick and felt a bit peckish. Looked on tripadviser and decided on trying The Market Place Pantry. What a good decision. I had poached eggs on toast, followed by a scone with cream and jam. Lovely food,nice decor and great service.

Cant recommend highly enough. The avocado, cherry tomatoes and poached egg on sour dough toast is our favourite. And the home made cakes are second to none. Really excellent cafe!

Small intimate and friendly cafe in the marketplace. Had two sandwiches (CBBC) with tea - two of the nicest sandwiches we have tasted and the staff were happy to adapt the filings as needed.Huge pot of tea! Also serves home made cakes. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here of fresh sandwiches - one a bacon, letuce, avocado and tomato and the other a toasted chicken, brie and bacon. The cafe is bright and cheerful but there is not a lot of seating particularly inside so get there early if possible. Recommended.

Warwick in the past has been a desert as far as decent coffee is concerned. Not any more. The Market Place Pantry has excellent beverages and a range of cakes and savoury items made on the premises. We can highly recommend the Date & Walnut scones.

Stumbled across the Pantry and felt like a coffee so popped in. Really friendly staff, wonderful looking cakes (very annoying as I’m a diabetic!) My Americano was very good, so I had a second! My wife had a great pot of tea (proper tea with leaves) and a lovely cake . Couldn’t leave without taking a couple of Rocky Roads for my daughters. Would like to try their salads as they looked very good.

This small but friendly café is a great place to visit, serving probably the best coffee in Warwick! At peak times and at weekends you might struggle to find a seat , as it has an inviting range of breakfast and lunchtime food and the most delicious home made cakes.( You need to get there early on Saturday if you want to grab one of their amazing almond or butter croissants! ) But it is the friendly and efficient service from a lovely team of staff that makes this place so inviting and somewhere you will want to go back to again and again. We stopped for coffee and cake choosing to avoid the mainstream chains and so pleased we did! The coffee was lovely the cakes homemade and atmosphere perfectly balanced. Good things come in small packages!

I came here today to have lunch with my mother in law, I had always admired all the lovely cakes in the window and thought the menu sounded lovely. We had a great lunch and the food was very tasty, however we both felt the customer service was somewhat lacking. There was no hello or take a seat on arrival, we both smiled at the staff and got nothing back, I found the gentleman serving us particularly miserable and not very friendly really. Although I think the food, cakes, and especially the coffee was delicious I do think that service could be done with a smile! I don’t know maybe there were just having a bad day?

Stopped here for a mid morning coffee/tea and bit of cake. Small seating area inside and outside. Clean and welcoming but very hot inside - heating was up full and the sun coming in the window. Sat in the window watching the world go by. Tea was okay but coffee was not to my taste, sour and not strong flavoured. However the gluten free chocolate orange brownie was amazing and one slice is definitely big enough to share. Lots of lovely looking cakes and the bacon & poached eggs on toast looked good too!

On the fridge on the market square this cafe is great to stop for a coffee and cake. Quite small and intimate. Open on a Sunday.

This is a wonderful little cafe in the centre of Warwick, run by a friendly family with fantastic customer service. 'Make your own Brunch' is especially good and brilliant value. The last time we went, they had run out of juice but offered to make some freshly squeezed orange juice which was really yummy.

Tables inside or out, we sat in the Saturday afternoon sunshine just a stone's throw from the Saturday market.

Dropped in for lunch and had an excellent meal. Huge pot of tea for two - loose leaf! - thatbeven two tea-aholics couldn't finish. Contemporary, friendly, welcoming. All the sandwiches and cakes looked gorgeous. Skagen sarnies full of prawns. Coffee in a decent-sized cup for a change, full-flavoured too. Like it says on the tin, it's on the Market Place, so go straight there!

tucked away behind the statue of Randolf Turpin it's quite easy to miss this little gem, don't, as it's definately worth it

The menu offered a good range of options for lunch. The soup and sandwich option was good. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and the place was clean - the toilet makes it worth the visit on its own!

Visited with my friend for lunch and stayed 3 hours without feeling rushed or like we were hogging space. The place is quiet and calm and the staff friendly and unobtrusive. We have bacon, cheese and chutney toastie a that were delicious, follow s by hot chocolate and a freak shake. It was all lovely. It's nicely decorated and clean and cosy and the menu choices were great. Lovely little place. Will visit again

We were visiting Warwick and spotted The Market Place Pantry. It looked very smart and welcoming. The staff were very polite and even though the soup of the day was not our preferred choice they soon came up with a very nice alternative. So we had soup and a large sausage roll and a tea and coffee. The cakes looked wonderful but we managed some restraint. Definitely recommend a visit and if we are in the area we will use again

Alison and Emily own and run this delightful cafe in the centre of Warwick. It truly is a gem of a place offering wonderful coffee, home made sandwiches, cakes, pastries and a delightful brunch menu. All served at great prices and in a spotlessly clean attractive environment. Such a great alternative to the standard, boring chains. They are celebrating their first year in business (many congratulations). May their success last for many more. A must visit for anyone visiting Warwick

I had been here once before with for a coffee and a cake and I knew I had to return as the menu looked nice and the cakes were tempting. I came back with a friend for breakfast and decided to 'build your own brunch' Breakfast arrived but the toast was buttered. The menu made no mention of buttered toast so I couldn't accept it as I don't eat any dairy(although not allergic, this makes me physically sick) The lady that served us didn't seem impressed that I didn't want butter although not allergic, she finally made me a fresh meal and went on to tap my shoulder and in the most condescending way told me that I wouldn't be charged for the extra meal. This was very unnecessary and showed poor customer service. I suggest that they indicate that the toast is buttered to avoid this in the future rather than be rude to paying customers.

I have been tempted and succumbed to the delicious food and fancies here on 3 different occasions. Everything is so delicious that diets have to go by the board. (There are very healthy options available too but my willpower has never been my strong point.) My idea of heaven would be to eat my way round the menu. And back again.

My mum & I visited the Market Place Pantry recently & loved the Peruvian Hot Chocolate. We shared a slice of cake which was also delicious. The Café is very comfortable, friendly service & good selection of hot drinks & food.

Having lived near Warwick for many years; it's lovely at last to see a bright and fresh eatery with homemade food as a perfect light lunch. Warwick has plenty of places to eat, but this has its own selling point of mouth watering cakes (did not try) and a small, but plentiful menu for light lunch. The salads were fresh, tasty and worth every penny - that's the other advantageous point; it's not expensive. Will definitely return!

The best coffee in town! The most delicious cakes, biscuits and home made treats. Really yummy lunch and brunch menu too. Friendly service and a really nice atmosphere. It's good to support a lovely independent local business too.

Very tasty food in a lovely setting. The cafe is small but the service was brilliant and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The interior was lovely and very well maintained too. We both had tasty homemade sandwiches and two (huge!) slices of fresh, homemade coffee cake to follow.

Stopped for an early lunch. Delightful sandwiches - we had the grilled cheese and breakfast bacon and cheese toastie or with tomato chutney. Both on nice sour dough. Much better than a prepackaged option, with good fresh ingredients.

Earlier this year we moved to Warwick and the "Pantry" had just opened. We would use this cafe for our breakfast and for coffee whilst we were decorating. Subsequently we have been customers on numerous occasions. The food is always fresh and delicious and the cakes "are to die for", freshly made, fantastic to look at and wonderful to eat. There is never a disappointment when you are introduced to their selection. Furthermore their coffee never disappoints.
