2 out of 4 Harvey's beers on cask. The olympia went off half way through pulling the pint... Pub was dead on a sunny Sunday evening. Dirty glasses left on tables. Won't be going back.

Guy working the bar started pouring me a pint, got halfway through and I got out cash. He said we don’t take cash, proceeds to throw the beer down the sink. Wasteful attitude, zero care for customer service and a general nuisance situation. Literally threw it down the sink. Moronic attitude towards zero waste.

Fantastic stay in Brighton! Room had more amendities than expected and excellent staff working in the pub downstairs! Effy in particular was brilliant, so knowledgeable about the local area and was so warm and welcoming and good fun! Definitely helped to make our stay memorable. Definitely stay here or at the very least come for a drink and a game of Jenga!

The bar is super cosy, on a quiet side, good service.

Just popped in for a drink. It's a Harvey's pub, and there were 4 Harvey's real ales on the pump. Very well kept. It was quiet, so sat in the bar side with the other people there. Didn't realise they did food, but not serving when we were there. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere.

Proper pub with a good mix of beers, friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere.

Good Harvey's pub not far from Brighton's West Pier. Three cask beers on handpump when I visited including a Christmas Ale. A few tables outside. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We went on a Monday night and the food service was very slow. I understand they bring food from the shop next door, thought it took very long for our order to arrive. The place doesn't provide any condiments either which we found out when asked for Ketchup to go with our chips. Drinks were decent, same as you would expect at any pub. There was a dessert menu placed on each table though upon enquiry we were informed that no deserts were available.There was only one staff member who was managing everything from taking orders to collecting food from the shop nearby and serving food to people's tables, though he did a good job of managing everything. I would only go here for drinks and avoid ordering any food

New pub revamp. Good atmosphere and cleanliness. Visit before the masses.

I know this place is relatively new which brings a great willingness to do well. The staff were lovely and the prices extremely fair. It's good to see pubs not completely take the mick with pricing. OH I nearly forgot to mention the toilets, yes it's odd to mention in a review but they are extremely clean and unusually good for a pub. Keep up the great work!

The pub is so beautifully refurbished by Harveys Brewery and the suite Hotel rooms are stunning..The staff are extremely helpful, kind and they go above and beyond their duty always

One beer was off but was changed without query - they need to check them before start of service. Decor - as you would expect it has been fully refurbished and looks really smart. Food - the burger was good but I was amazed when they said they don't provide cutlery, so eating is a rather messy experience (hence the title); the chips were excellent.

What an excellent selection of Harvey's beers. Food not available today unfortunately as had planned to eat here buy mo problem as plenty of places to eat nearby. Enjoyed very much several hours of a very good singer and guitarist so stayed longer. This couple a regular feature every fortnight . .

We came here on Friday evening for food and a couple of drinks, we had fish and chips and chicken burger Cajun, the food was very good and the tartar sauce freshly made and had a great taste, there was a good selection of beers, I had neck oil,and there were other real ales as well as bier moretti. The prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly, definitely give it a try

I don’t dislike this place, but shatteringly loud indie music at 6pm on a Wednesday will put me off coming back anytime soon.

Very welcoming and friendly customer service, I bought a cocktail and it was divine so I will definitely go back there again.

Really friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Roast was not the best I’ve had but much cheaper than most places at £15:95 a pop. Photo on the left is their roast beef; one on the right by yours truly.

DONT ORDER FOOD!!! (Bar staff fantastic!) Ordered food (burger and chips) Waited 40 mins Asked how long our food would be, was told 5 mins Waited another 20 mins to be approached by bar staff saying there was a problem with our order ( small aside chef had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth whilst cooking) Bar staff were brilliant dealing with my refund DONT ORDER FOOD!

Just a normal cosy pub, nothing special but you know what you’re going to get! Espresso martini was very nice. Worth it when they have happy hour.

We stayed above the pub in their rooms. Very beautiful decor. A little smaller rooms than it looks on the photo but a big bathroom. Cute pub and attentive staff.

Not exactly a Harvey's flagship... go to the Lord Nelson or most pubs in Lewes.

We were a large party and the were helpful is getting us comfortable and moving tables around until we were. There is a nice little secluded back garden. Food was OK, nothing really special but quite OK, chips were nice. Prices reasonable.

Very cramped restaurant (the conversation on the adjacent table was interesting) and at one stage we had been forgotten about. The food was normal for a BI (having dined in a few) but I doubt if we would go back to this one.

Food was great, beer was great, barman was friendly.

Excellent addition to the Harveys brewery portfolio of managed pubs. Located along Western Road on the Brighton/Hove border but easily walkable from centre of Brighton. As usual with Harveys Brewery, the ales are fantastic & always of a consistently high quality. Only been open + 1year so the modern interior still in excellent condition. Worth a visit 👍👍

First time there. They had Christmas ale on tap and you can buy mini kegs. I'll visit again one day.

Amazingly poor choice of beers/ales considering it's a Harvey's pub. Apart from that it also has very little character or atmosphere

Great staff, great pub / hotel and we'll kept beer.

Really disappointing experience today, popped in at 11.45am this morning and had a juice and latter with my daughter. Around 12.15pm we decided to have some lunch, however the barman (who was lovely and helpful, both were actually) said no lunches until 1pm - but as they were empty he asked the Chef. The Chef flatly refused to make a burger despite the fact there wasn't one other customer in the pub, nor did he look over and offer any kind of apology or reason - just incredibly poor customer service. I asked to settle the bill, clearly looking disappointed and waited 10 minutes as there were 3 staff on, half expecting someone to say "no problem, we can do this" but happily let us walk out of empty pub. Nice one Chef.

Best breakfast we have had in Brighton. Lots of choice, friendly staff and delicious food. Very reasonable too - £8 for a full breakfast. Great coffee too and relaxed atmosphere

Yet another Brighton establishment. That sees fit. To make Societal decisions. Discriminatory, against the Many people. Who for different reasons. Don't have a Bank account. Cost 2 Stars. I do have an account. Just sticking up, for those that don't.

Service good. Very relaxing style. Would recommend. Stayed 2 nights in the accommodation over the pub and it was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely try return

I cannot fault the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff despite being busy. The food was delicious and I overheard a conversation re: not having a big enough kitchen for proper crockery so they found a compostable alternative….wobbly plates but very kirsch! The coffee is really lovely and this place has a fabulous vibe. We really enjoyed our breakfast. 😁

Loads of vegan burgers and hot dogs. I had the German option which was loaded with gherkins, vegan bacon bits and sauerkraut. Really tasty.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Every day, some kind of offers, like happy hour, or burgers on discount, board games to play etc etc,,, definitely go and visit if you are in Brighton and prices are bargain! Stuff are so relaxed and friendly, portions are big so ask before ordering 😄

the staff here are so lovely and attentive! excellent service, the place is nice and clean, tasty food and coffee for a good price!

Thoroughly recommended. We had the italica muffin and and the vegan breakfast, which were delicious. They kindly swapped out the beans in the breakfast for a preferred ingredient, and provided vegan mayo. But most importantly the staff were friendly and obliging, and the general atmosphere of the place was completely charming. My impression of them was sealed when they went to some trouble to send me a link to the beautifully chill playlist they had been playing. Would be a regular if I were local.

My first time in this fairly recently opened pub, following a big revamp. They've done it well. Certainly we'll worth a visit with a widd range of Harvey's ales.
