Always amazing food and exceptional service.

Great little venue in Oxford Street Used to be really busy but of late it's lost itself a little bit. . But i still like going there but tend to use it as a start of point before going onto more lively bars

Great concept with a restaurant and bar scenario that could work well. Went for Christmas works 'do' and restaurant performed well if a tad expensive. Bar didn't really deliver and it's hard to know why. We just left and found a better atmosphere elsewhere which was a shame. Maybe they need to reposition the dj offer. Definetly worth a try. Good staff and decent food. Just.need to get a better bar restaurant synergy.

We did come late afternoon, was quiet but amazing service. Food was divine.

It was one of the greatest taste experience. Everything was amazing, even small cake added to espresso was full of taste and flavour. My absolutely favourite restaurant in Southampton.

We went as a family of six too celebrate my wife's birthday this past week on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy but not loud lots of conversations taking place on nearby tables. The food was outstanding from starters mains and dessert. Polite staff members who assisted in explaining various dishes on the menu. Overall a fantastic dining experience thank you Marco's - highly recommend

Have returned here for several meals. The food is really enjoyable at a great price! Lovely restaurant with friendly staff! I would definitely recommend a visit.

We were a little disappointed overall wiyh our experience here. The foid was delicious (although a little over priced), but the place seemed to lack any atmosphere and the staff were constantly hovering over you and looking to see if you had finished. Which we found a little off putting.

Absolutely lovely atmosphere here! I was looking for somewhere local to me to have a nice burger, I didn't do my due diligence into the details of the restaurant and turned up without a reservation and quite underdressed to what is an upscale and fancy restaurant. However in spite of this I was treated entirely professionally throughout and felt welcomed. The staff were lovely and a member of the bar staff remembering that I had gone in for a meal went out of their way to ask how I had found my meal when I was sat at the bar afterwards. The food was incredibly good, as I imagine you can guess I had the beef burger, I had bacon and a flat mushroom as additional topics. The burger was cooked to perfection, perfectly juicy and exactly the fix I needed for my craving. I then followed this with a tirumasu, as it is my favourite dessert. Whilst it was one of the best tirumasu's that I have had, unfortunately there was an issue which meant I had to make a complaint (for this reason alone I've elected to give a 4/5 on food, but it certainly would have been a 5/5). However, the staff were great again in this scenario. The server listened to what I had to say and immediately decided to comp the dessert, to be honest I enjoyed it enough I would have been happy with a smaller discount and even expressed as much however they insisted. I elected to get another drink from the bar to make up for the difference. As previously mentioned the waiter at the bar was also really attentive at this point. In total my meal of a burger with two additional toppings, dessert (comped) and two drinks came to ~ £26, I believe it would have been ~£30 had the dessert not been comped and I not consequently bought a second drink. All in all for the quality of the food and service it's a fair price. I'm a student so I don't think I can afford to frequent, but I will definitely be keeping them in mind for any dates/special occasions.

Visited Marco’s today with family. Can say that service is ate very high standard. Ilya managed to keep our atmosphere at very high end. Food was just what you are expecting. We ordered stake and lasagna and that was awesome. Will highly recommend

If I could give O stars to this restaurant, I would. Food was average, but I was having a good conversation with my husband, so I was ok. We ordered two appetizers and a bottle of wine ( I kind of do this just to taste the food, which helps me decide whether I want to order an entry or not. As soon as we started eating, a fly started to bother us, so I told the waitress if she could please sit us inside, because we were very annoyed with the fly. ( the restaurant was completely empty inside. I knew this because minutes ago I went inside to go to the restroom). The waitress said yes to our request, however, minutes later the manager came to our table ( not in a very graceful manner) to inform us, that he cannot seat us inside, because the restaurant was fully booked! To which I responded: is that right? This restaurant is empty! I asked him, what time were those reservations made for? He said 0630 or 7! I just didn’t say anything else. We asked for the check and left. This people have no sense of customer service and customer respect: I’ll take my business somewhere else. No thanks! The mediocre food serve in this restaurant you can get anywhere else for a cheaper price 0 stars to this business

We enjoyed the lunchtime set menu with a group of friends - we decided to sit inside and had a great table near the window. Great food and great service - thank you.

All four of us ordered something different and each of us raved about our dinner to each other. So we all tested each others with the same results "thats really really good" . The owner comes to your table with pleasantries. A must if your in South Hampton. We're from the US. It was the best food we have had since in the country.

Visited Marco’s last week and had a lovely time right my family. Ordered Seabass and it was delicious! Our waitress Rim was very friendly and cheerful. She made the evening pleasant. Will go back again!

Authentic delicious food and drink with a good selection on the menu. Attentive but not overpowering service in a lively and sociable atmosphere. Really good and I rarely rate 5 stars

Nice pub for a beer on Oxford Street. A bit expensive overall but so are most pubs in this area! Has a "dancefloor" at weekends and good music. Haven't eaten here.

A really lovely restaurant and bar. The bar has a nice vibe and is divided from the restaurant to allow a quieter and relaxed dining experience. The food is great. A nice range of classic Italian dining. The wine and drinks choice is fantastic as it The service and the cocktails too. Highly recommended.

Came in for lunch while visiting friends in Southampton. From the entrance we were greeted and led to table, orders taken quickly, great service all across. Starters came out quick and Mains not long after we finished starters and everything was delicious and arranged to look great on the plate too!

Great place to eat and drink in Oxford street .. It's right in the middle of bustling street, and where it all happens.... Don't eat here if your in a budget :) Food, service, around great !!

I came last Friday with my girlfriend and sat outside as the weather was really good. We went for the lunch menu with some wine. Overall we though the food was excellent muscles were really big and fresh with a proper thick sauce. Amazing value for money. We were also really well look after by all the team. Will be coming back soon.

We have had several meals here. Really love it, the food is always amazing especially the mains with the truffle mushroom linguine being my favourite. Sundays are nice and quiet.

Absolutely beautiful food, the taste was different to what I am used to in Italian food, but it worked. The carbonara was cooked as it should be, without cream and the seafood spaghetti was so fresh. Never been to Southampton before but would make the trip again just to eat here.

Went to the wine tasting event. It was really good and interesting to learn about the different wines of the Tuscan region. Service was good and staff all very friendly and welcoming. The food paired with the wine was nice but limited I would pay more to have a proper 5 course tasting menu.

Marcos is an amazing place to visit I would highly recommend. Marco was the host with the most and all his staff were fabulous also. The quality of food and wine was out of this world, as was the atmosphere.

I enjoyed lunch here with 2 friends. They had oysters which were excellent according to them. Had the set lunch menu which was very nice. Had a cigar outside as well in the covered area and watched the world go by. Great for lunch will go again. Staff friendly and attentive, excellent service.

Valentines2023 @ Marco’s in Oxford Street Southampton. I met my (now) husband here when it was Simons and have continued to visit since Marco took over the business. The food in this establishment NEVER disappoints. Nice relaxed ambience, superb decor. The service is friendly and professional, the quality of the food is exceptional. Well done Marco, Vas & your team for another memorable dining experience. We would highly recommend if you’re visiting Southampton or indeed resident and looking for somewhere “top drawer” to eat. Five Stars!!!!

Really great restaurant. Brilliant food and the staff were very attentive. It was busy, which meant we had to wait for our table later than we booked, but we got a drink at the bar and didn't mind waiting. Great menu as well. Enough to give variety but not too much that you don't know what to choose.

Absolutely exceptional service, the food quality and presentation was excellent. The restaurant was recommended to me by my husband as it’s his favourite restaurant and it’s mine now as well!! Vass was our server and he was extremely polite and professional. I would highly recommend dining at Marcos especially for an anniversary.

As a party of 18 all I can say is that it is the best venue that we have been to ever, everything was amazing, they took away all of the hassle from me of running the party, the food was amazing and staff were very attentive, professional and polite, nothing was too much trouble, not one of the party had anything to complain about which is very unusual for a large party A very big THANK YOU to Marco and all of his efficient staff

I had the specials "Capesante Rockefeller" which were cooked to perfection and the "Bistecca d'Agnello" (lamb steak) medium rare, delicious, along with some pinot noir, ended with the "Cannolo" as dessert and a Vecchia Romagna. Lovely night, very friendly staff, great atmosphere. Worth every penny spent there.

We stopped for lunch and had a very pleasant meal served by professionals. Portions are on the large side so careful when ordering. It's a large place so atmosphere suffers but that does mean plenty of seating/ room

We haven’t been to Marcos in ages and had forgotten how good the food is. We went for the set menu (three dishes each) and was so chuffed we did. The food was fresh, tasty and distinctly Italian. Yum! We won’t leave it so long next time.

For the first time, I love Italian food. Top quality, great service, beautiful time, now have back to London, feel like going back just for that.

Cancelled our reservation which was booked and confirmed back in December for my partners 30th birthday at the end of February @ 19:30 giving some ridiculous excuse of “changing opening times”. Did not offer to rebook for a different time just “would assist to rebook a different restaurant on Oxford Street”. Will not bother to ever try here again.

I met my team for Xmas lunch and Prosecco and Pannetone at Marcos this week, the food was incredible as always and the Pannetone is the absolute best there is! Marco and his team always go above and beyond to make everyone welcome including my 4 month old baby Rosie who joined us! Marcos will always be somewhere I'd recommend for lunch, dinner or drinks with friends! Any occasion!

I ordered the lamb shank and red wine jus it was lovely . The table service was excellent the bill was good value we were very Happy. The bill was for 2 mains and 2 deserts and large wine and a pint of coke .

Absolutely worth coming here every time. This is the place if you appreciate great service, great food and beautiful ambiance. Excellent every single time. I recommend from the pudding menu, Pannacotta. It's my fav. But everything else on the menu is delicious.

A fabulous find on our one night stay in Southampton before a cruise. The staff are super attentive, the cocktails fabulous and the food delicious. I highly recommend Marcos and thank all the staff for a great evening.

Nine of us ate and drank and celebrated a friend’s birthday here last night and we all agreed it was the best meal out we’ve had in a very long time. Was probably some of the best mouthfuls of food in my life! I had calamari followed by the hake and then profiteroles, it was all absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. We went through to the bar area after and stayed for cocktails. Great night.

We have been here with our kid and one of the security staff was amazing, he was super helpful, there was a drunk guy disturbing us and he sorted it out immediately.

It is physically impossible to get better service than in an Italian Restaurant, even if it's in Southampton. The food was excellent, the wine desirable, the final account economical: I'm leaving with a smile

Rude, snobby, overpriced. I’m honestly flabbergasted. Having been here 7 or 8 times this year, we arrived and sat at our usual table outside with nobody else around. The waiter came over and told us that we were not welcome and barred from the restaurant, because we didn’t ask permission to smoke outside, despite being given an ash tray on previous occasions. They didn’t ask us to extinguish our cigarettes. They weren’t polite. We were there for a business meeting but made to feel like shirtless football hooligans. They were never particularly friendly, and the staff were always a little holier than thou, but this was a new level of rudeness and unprofessionalism. Avoid.

I have been there on Sundays so far and it has been quiet. We were offered to chose the table we liked. The staff were professional and knowledgeable, the food delicious and they even adjusted the dessert according to my request. So far, I haven't found a fault.

Lovely place if you are there early morning ask them for Freddo Espresso you gonna love it 😍
