The most authentic Indian cuisine I’ve tried for a long time. Highly recommended for a meal with real flavour and not too hot/ spicy.

After eating here I'm not sure I'd go to any other Indian restaurant, the menu has a variety, each dish has its own unique taste. It's great to find a good place to eat, it's quite hard to find good food these days. I would highly recommend this restaurant and they deserve to do well

The food was very delicious, specially the kappa and meen curry.. we came very far to try a good Kerala food and yes you definitely met our expectations. Will come again to try other specials of your restaurant. Thank you for the great service and yummy food.

They charge 10% extra for serving customers, over the price of food which is already costly compared to counterparts..... Masala dosa was also not good enough to pay that much for it and took extra 3.50 pounds for additional sambhar, which is to be given free as every restaurant does..... Sooo bed test in South Indian & Panjabi dish. !!

Delicious food, excellent service..

All the curries were just full of chilli and masking what taste was in the dish. I had a prawn curry and all the prawns were cooked with tails on, I didn't realise until 1 of the tails cut the inside of my mouth. We have just paid nearly £70 for a takeaway for three people and thrown away four dishes.

We had a takeaway from Sravs Kitchen.The food was delicious, and the portion size was generous. The lamb biriyani was particularly tasty. Overall, I had a very good experience and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious Kerala food experience.

Definitely the best dosa in Southampton, if not the whole of Hampshire. You can tell that they make fresh batter every day.

Whilst the food here was very nice, it was disappointing that we were served the Mango Kesari dessert which had nuts in it (specifically cashews) despite informing the waiters that our party had a nut allergy. The menu does not even state that this dessert has nuts hence why we ordered, and we luckily spotted the nuts before we ate - this is quite a dangerous mistake to make. This mistake was not acknowledged by the waiters either. It is a shame - please update the menu and be much more cautious of allergies.

I usually do not leave a drop of mango lassi. But here, one portion of lassi contained enough cardamom for 10 portions. I could not even finish half. Same experience for the second person who ordered lassi. I am sure they wanted us to relish the spices. But this was a bit too much. Ordered beef roast, a kerala dish. The beef was a bit tough, and the pieces were huge. Usually, the pieces are smaller and soft. Saying that the Biriyani (though it was oily)and the butter chicken were very good.

Great service, very affordable and the food was incredibly flavourful and aromatic. Good veggie options as well!

I have recently visited Srav’s Kitchen to cure my cravings for my Indian Cuisine and I must say , it is one of the best Indian Cuisine Restaurant in Southampton. The food was scrumptious, as well as the drinks . We got served by refreshing cocktails . The customer service is highly appreciable as well the as Bar Service . We ended up being extravagant in our orders . Highly recommend to everyone wanting to try some delicious food.

Working away from home I like to experience indian food from. Different cities. I always try to look for Indian food made by Indians. Found Sravs as the one I was going to go to was busy. Thank god I found this place. Really nice restaurant with ambience and great staff. Asgharwas a great Front house who knows his dishes. Although the menu is small this adds positively to the experience. No thinking about what style of dish you want. This also means that much more care is taken and the dishes are full of flavour. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a lovely restaurant we really lovely the food served to us , we has a family have been there 3 times , nice food nice place for Indian cuisine but only issues we felt is the manager over there is giving more attention to the white crowd then the Indians who visit the place, we never saw him coming and talking to us nor wishing or asking for help, that made us little sad and uncomfortable I wish the manager give little more attention to everyone visiting the restaurant than only few particular group of people, this will definitely make some people happy and comfortable to visit the place again , we all the customers, come say hello , ask if everything is already with the food and ask do you need any help, This is a genuine review and looking forward for a chance in the service soon from the service team,

Delicious food, decent portions and friendly efficient service. I particularly liked the Medu Vada and Kappayum Meenum, which also got the seal of approval from our Keralan friend. The thali, mango lassi and Pal payasam dessert were great too and there are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. Would definitely come back to try more!

The idiots at Srav's kitchen packed Sambar in foil container. Wasted the food and ruined the delivery person's box too

{ Lamb Biryani - £12.95} Appearance 3/5 - Fairly standard looking dish. Can't see the protein until you start digging in. (Suggestion: Put some meat above the rice, and add a bit of green element to the dish) Taste 4/5 - Without the cream, the dish is dull. There is solely one taste with the dish. However, after adding the cream, the whole taste immediately elevates. The cream and the biryani combines creates a whole new different taste for the dish. Texture 3.5/5 - The cream adds a layer of texture to the dish. Size of the dish - Slightly below Average Service 3.5/5 - Provided water on request, waiters came and asked me if everything was alright and tasty. Delayed food servic3 (15 mins +) Environment 4/5 - Warm, stand Indian layout. With soft Indian music played in the background. I've been to a lot of Indian places in Southampton, and I've never been this impressed. The food has immense depth of flavour compared to other establishments. I ordered the Kerala chicken kurma and was super impressed The staff are super friendly. I recommend this place to any lovers of Indian food!

Amazing experience. One of the best Indian foods I have had in the UK. The restaurant promotes itself as a south Indian restaurant so one of us ordered South Indian food and one of us ordered north Indian as sides. But to our surprise the egg plant curry was the best i have ever had in my life 😁 and we all wanted to have that. Beautiful ambience, great service and staff. I was on a trip to the place but will definitely look forward again next time.

Went in last week to pick up some food. The vegan options they have available were amazing and flavourful. The staff was also super helpful and friendly. Although we had food for takeout, I noticed the place was very clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you!

Was waiting an authentic south indian restaurant in Southampton area from a very long time. Finally here we have. I have ordered idly, vada, masala dosa, Kerala parota, Paneer Makhani, roti, filter coffee and lassi. All items were delicious n in authentic taste. Service was little delayed which was informed and explained by the manager earlier. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Could focus on kids friendly and faster service. Would like to visit again.

Really delicious food, one of the best curries I've had. Great vegetarian choices. Great service and lovely decor inside. Portion sizes are perfect as well; not too big but enough to fill you up. Definitely will go again.

Whilst exploring for a Kerala restaurant in Southampton, kohinoor of kerala was the only option google was showing so we went there and to our disappointment they only allow people with bookings or else you have to go after 10pm even though there were lot of empty tables and the reception staff have no interest in letting anyone else without booking so we decided to find something nearby and found this gem of restaurant “Sravs kitchen” although it’s not labelled as Kerala restaurant, they had a variety of kerala dishes and food was excellent. Some of their fusion dishes like rasam prawns and banana dosa ice cream were amazing. The staff were so friendly and professional too, really enjoyed our visit and definitely going back there on our next visit to Southampton.

As a South Indian, I can vouch for the authenticity of the dishes here. Amazing flavours dished out within a soothing ambience inside the restaurant. I'll definitely be a regular here.

Very smart little restaurant. The staff are lovely, and it's decorated beautifully. Food was tasty and well priced - it was good to try a couple new Indian dishes from this particular cuisine.

We visited for the first time. The decor and ambience are very good. Sadly, the service is too slow, and we waited long before even getting the starters. We found the portion size of the starters relatively small for the price. Thali is a good option but expensive. The taste of the food is good, but the slow service lets it down.

Delicious Indian cuisine - so many starters and mains to explore, including a dosa! Would recommend for a chilled evening but also special occasions. Harish and the team were wonderful - so kind and attentive!

So we were three people dining at the restaurant and I ordered medu wada for myself. My other friend ordered a curry and three parathas the third friend was just there to accompany us. After few minutes the manager came up to us and asked that we are three people and ordered only one curry he seemed disappointed and made us wait for 45 minutes for our food. This was a bit embarrassing and not acceptable customer service.

My family and I found this place last week. We had very tasty medhu vada and dosas. The sambhar and chutney was excellent. Harish, the proprietor, was very welcoming and attentive. I am more than happy to recommend this to anyone wanting to eat authentic South Indian food in Southampton

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, the food is fresh, spicy, delicious and authentic (I'm not Indian but am a little familar with South Indian cuisine, knowing someone from Hyderabad and Nellore). The pricing is absolutely reasonable, staff are lovely, I can't wait to go again!

A cut above all the other South Indian restaurants in Southampton, just spectacular! The baby aubergine and black chickpea dishes were especially impressive and the parathas were perfectly flaky

Incredible food at really reasonable price. The aubergine makhani is one of the best things I’ve ever had.

Most of us ordered masala dosa. The food is really good. I felt the sambar and chutney quantity was bit less compared to size of dosa. Nothing mentioned if they serve extra sambar or chutney. I am giving 3 as the service was absolutely shambles. There were only 2 tables occuplied in the whole restaurant but servers were in so much hurry for us to finish. Didn't even ask or served water. Once we finished the dosa the server didn't even care to ask if we like to have some desserts and straight away handed the bill.

Lovely tasty food, it's perfectly balanced being neither too salt or too spicy. Can really recommend and we will be returning.

We went today for the first time and were so impressed. The food was exquisite and the service brilliant. The waiter was so friendly and couldn’t have done more to help, explaining anything on the menu we didn’t recognise and generally being on hand. We each had the (delicious) thali and shared an incredible mega dosa and some vada. The decor is also lovely! Couldn’t fault any of it and couldn’t recommend highly enough.

This is a gem of a little restaurant in Southamtpton. Must visit place for authentic South Indian and specifically Keralan cuisine. The dishes are delicious and would remind you of the taste of India. The ambience is nice and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend this place. Must try dishes are their Masala Dosa, Appam and egg curry, Kerala Paratha, Chicken Chettinad, Allepey fish curry and best of all Chicken Biriyani. Great work team Sravs👏

Had the Lamb roast- Kerala style - Subtle use of spices, black pepper, curry leaves, dry coconut etc awesome taste. The mango lassi had very balanced sweetness. Felt like freshly made. The appam is nice. Had the mega dosa , the white chutney served with red hint of tempering was to good! Although a very basic thing sambar- the taste was unique. The staff, owner is very polite.

Popped in as passing by. Food was amazing, lovely starters (idli?), then mains of paneer and black chickpeas and an awesome dosa on the side. Left with big smiles on our faces and will definitely be back.

Friendly owner and staff, and most importantly, excellent food. We tried chicken 65, masala dosa and chicken biryani, and all were great. Price is comparable to nearby Indian restaurants with good quantity for main dishes (although we felt the starter could have 1-2 pieces more). Very happy that this has opened in Portswood and would definitely be visiting again.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch on Friday 24th March. I enjoyed a Lamb Curry and rice and my wife loved her Egg plant (Aubergine) curry and paratha bread, the food was extremely tasty and staff very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Excellent new entry in Southampton for lovers of authentic Indian- especially Kerala- food. Great curries - duck, prawn, fish. Each with its uniquely flavoured tasty curry. Tasty fresh appams and parathas Good service by the team- Harish and Yashwant. Will return! (The restaurant owners/managers should consider a weekend/Sunday morning breakfast buffet- students and a growing desi community will ensure great business)

It was my 20th Birthday yesterday and my friends thought of celebrating with a visit to Sravs Kitchen for dinner and it was honestly a great decision! We all loved everything about it! Service, food - literally everything was so well executed by the staff (food was delicious!) and I must also mention one special person who is Harish - he made my day even more special by arranging a very tasty cake for me with candles and this was much appreciated by all of us!!! I was longing for authentic Kerala Appam and Kadla curry since long and finally got the most authentic Malayali food in Southampton. Even the biryani tasted so so so authentic. The service is exceptional and loved every bit of our time there

It's the second time I have visited Sravs kitchen. I would say the food is amazing and the service is exemplary. It has good vegetarian options and I recommend the karahi paneer to everyone. It's among the best that I have ever had.
