Piggy's in Southampton

Will not visit this place again. Breakfast took a long time but I assured my wife that maybe it will be worth waiting for..... it wasn't. Bacon was overcooked, pot of beans were dry as if they were old and requested toast was not on the plate. Coffee was lousy. For a relatively new place, they need to look at themselves because the whole experience was disappointing.

I came across piggy’s by accident whilst looking for a coffee shop, I am so pleased to have tried it, they accommodated me warmly with my mobility scooter. Nothing was too much trouble. They waited till I was comfortably seated and then came over to take my order. I ordered black coffee and the chilli with rice., the black coffee was delicious , the chilli arrived piping hot with lovely fluffy rice and a delicious traditional chilli green peppers, plump kidney beans and a very tasty quality beef. I highly recommend this dish as with the coffee. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable , my table was spotlessly clean as with the cutlery and I noticed each time a table had been used. They would scrupulously wipe it down which is much appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely little gem and I will be back.!!

Lovely, clean and quiet little place to eat locally in Woolston. Definitely worth supporting the Small Business in this case as the visit was WELL WORTH IT. My daughter and I loved this visit and enjoyed fabulous food that was prepared in good time and brought to our table with a friendly smiley service. Recommend: Mango smoothie Cappuccino Omelettes with choice of fillings. Cheese, bacon and sausage was a real it. Definitely coming here again!! (4/5 stars only because they had an out of tuning radio station playing with more hiss than music, which became mildly irritating)

Great place, clean and has character. We stopped in for a full English breakfast. It was really nice and definitely beat making my own. The coffee wasn't amazing in all honesty and that was just a regular white coffee. Service was decent... Not too long of a wait either. Overall I'm pleased with the service and food.

Great to be able to "build" your own breakfast.

Egg Benedict was amazing 👏 for a light lunch, with a lush coffee, and a takeaway sweet slice 😋

Even tho the lady in this shop was the sweetest lady ....unfortunately the food was not good... The jacket potato was so dry.... My hubby said the milkshake was OK but not worth the cost...and it was just not something we could go back for....

Top marks for this restaurant. We were very well received. The prices are great, but the food is what really stands out. Very well prepared, with great seasoning and just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere is very welcoming. We were passing through Southampton, but we wished we could have stayed longer to have breakfast there. I highly recommend it!

Food was not great tasted like vinegar could not eat as was dripping in grease an staff was not where hair net an hair was in my food

Great place , not cheap but good to support local businesses.

We came yesterday, Husband had to send latte back as it was cold, once ordered (did the kids first) we waited around 30-40 minutes so kids were getting bored. I don't think I've ever drank my hot cuppa tea before any meal arrival. My Egg baguette just tasted of pepper and the coleslaw was full of onion. Kids enjoyed their meals. Hubby's bacon way over done. It closes at 3pm food arrived at 2.40pm, we were in there at 1.55pm, We felt like we had to rush eating as only had 20 minutes! Kids are 4, 3 and 1! As soon as we paid lights went off. Literally couldn't wait until we were out the door. Lovely christmas atmosphere though. Probably won't be back.

Great little cafe the day we were there it was a Thursday and busy so long wait for food have a habit of giving you toast when requesting fried bread this happened twice to me this time it was perfect good food great service shame about the long wait

We dropped in for breakfast and coffee. The place looked cute there were a few other patrons but it was not overly busy. We sat down and the long blonde haired waitress brought over two menus. We made our choice and waited to order . She stood at the counter and chatted with a girl working behind the counter . After ten minutes or so she went to another table and took their order. Then she went back to the counter and continued to chat. I made eye contact with her, but no interest on her part. Eventually we left. Not impressive. I hope her chat was enjoyable.

Just here for a coffee. A very nice environment in the Woolston high St.

Always go here with my dad. Always great service with a smile and willing to go the extra mile !

Piggy's is amazing, so friendly , so is absolutely HOOFFIN, worth every penny .....oh and try the Bubble and Squeak, will definitely be going back 👌👌👌👌❤️❤️❤️

We would personally like to say thank you to all staff here at Piggy's, for making us feel very welcome on arrival when we came to visit with our resident living with Dementia. They saw that one resident was a little distressed and made her feel safe and happy by supporting her to sit down and have a biscuit and drink. All resident have loved there cake and drink. We will be recommending yourselves to our fellow homes. We WILL be back. Thank you all once again.

Nice little cafe. I popped in for coffee and a cake while some work was being done on my car down the road. Nicely furnished, good coffee and friendly staff. Next time, I might sample their cooked breakfasts!

OMG. My breakfast was so delicious and the prices were really good. I had bubble and squeak which came with bacon, sausage and a round of toast. The open fire was roaring and the employees were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend them. I don't know why I don't visit here more often!

Popped to grab some lunch in here as we were working in the area. Staff are friendly and the cafe has a nice dining area. I ordered (what I thought was) a pint of beer, along with their special breakfast. It turns out that the "pint" is a can of beer served with a glass that looks like it hasn't been washed in a few weeks. Food took around 30 minutes to arrive at our table. Good portion sizes, but the quality wasn't anything to shout about. Prices are a little higher than other cafes in the area and the jump isn't justified. I'd recommend Annie's, far better all round!

Burger was pink, chips were soggy, didn’t have any coleslaw. And fizzy drink didn’t turn up

Hash browns are soggy, milkshakes taste like chemicals, some of the bacon is undercooked.

The 2 stars are for the coffee which was the only thing we went for. Sorry the coffee was not good. I drink black Americano so need better quality coffee :-)

Just a nice straight forward warm English cafe. Great fried bread and big mugs if tea and coffee. Feels nice and local.

Love Piggy's the food is amazing, arrives quickly. The staff are absolutely lovely. The food is not expensive, we had 2x full English and 2 drinks and i paid with a £20 note and got change (price equivalent to a wetherspoons breakfast) but the quality is superb. They have a large selection of milkshakes, and the smoothies are delicious (Mango is my personal favourite).

Burnt food and got slightly burnt toast instead of fried bread!! Hot chocolate lid was split and leaked slightly. Always used to order from here and always enjoyed it but this time didn't!!

11/10 for this hidden gem in Woolston. Superb food. Lovely 2 young beautiful smiling ladies serving. Strongly recommend Piggy's full English. I'm an ExPat living in Australia and this was the perfect way to remember the UK when I go home. Aussie fiancee rated the coffee best she's had in England.

A nice place to go for lunch. Friendly staff and good value meals. I had a jacket potato, which was very nice, but was let down by the potato to coronation chicken filling, balance. Otherwise very nice.

I’ve struggle to find a place that does a dirty fry up in Winchester this place was recommended and I felt like I was back in East London. The bacon, sausage, black pudding where proper and the fried bread was to die for Thanks ladies

Although I didn't eat on this occasion, the breakfasts I saw being served looked very good and were certainly enjoyed by those who ordered them. My fleeting visit did allow me a super cup of HOT coffee which, on a cold, wet and breezy day...was just what I needed. I'll definitely be back to try their varied breakfast menu. Highly recommended.

Very nice cafe, they are always friendly and attentive. Very reasonably priced. I always get the iced frappe, I highly recommend.

After waiting absolutely ages for our food. It finally arrived look sorry for itself. I ordered a hot chocolate and a coffee which both were not drinkable . They taste like muddy water. Definitely wasn’t worth the wait. ☹️

I eat out at these local café’s regularly & had never found Piggy’s But I’m so glad I have, best around! Great food, amazing iced coffee, lovely staff & a great vibe Also the cheapest even though they provide the best!

Great food friendly staff had a nice lunch of cheese, bacon and sweetcorn toastie, only issue was there was some guy standing directly behind me shouting the whole time i was eating; i eventually moved seats but hey what can you do that's the general public for you.

Went to have breakfast with my wife and wanted to try a spot place in Woolston. Piggy's is a nice and welcoming little place with friendly staff, comfy chairs and tasty food. I was a bit surprised to find a full English breakfast with a burger patty, but in the end I went with it. Wifey loved the milkshake.

Was quite oily at the bottom so my egg was soggy. Didn't get hash brown or sausages and I paid for extra hash brown. My partner never got bacon and only 1 tub of beans even though there should've been 2. Other than that it was fine

Ordered breakfast in bed at 10:30am, it actually at nearly 1pm. My stomach thought my throat had been cut! Absolutely terrible service...

At Piggies we, as a family, always get the warmest of welcomes. The breakfasts are excellent, hot and fresh. We shall go again.

Food turned up looked awful and dry phoned to complain they re send the order so can’t fault that but food was still not good to eat.

Really enjoyable 18th birthday breakfast with our Son. Food was delicious and service was first class. Will be visiting again and would highly recommend.
