Diego's Rotisserie in Southampton

The place is okay at best, I didn't enjoy it as much as I would've enjoyed other restaurants. The portion size is HUGE, so that's a plus, but unfortunately the price is unbelievably expensive for a mere dish and drink 😭 The juice not being fresh is disappointing, but thankfully the pint soda is a large amount since there isn't refills. Honestly, a great restaurant, unfortunately I won't dine here again due to its high prices for plain dishes 😓

Fantastic. Ate here after seeing show at the mayflower. It’s a little walk but totally worth it. Greeting was friendly. I had booked a couple of weeks before for group of 17. No pre-orders needed. Full menu and all food delivered in a timely and organised manner. No waiting for any persons, they were all delivered pretty much together.(i have eaten elsewhere with pre-orders and still had a rubbish service) Diegos puts them to shame. Staff knowledgeable about their menu. It’s varied, but maybe a little short on veggie options. Everyone was happy with their choices. Portions generous. Only one pudding ordered as everyone was full! Staff are lovely, ambience is great. Staff were very helpful in separating payments for the bill. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Just had a great meal at Diego's—highly recommend! The food was full of flavor, with generous portions and a great atmosphere. Our server, Jana, was fantastic—super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Will definitely be coming back!

We came late and asked if the kitchen was open, yes, they said, we will keep it open for you. I ordered the picanha and it was good, a bit too salty for me, but that might be me. The food came fast and the waiter was helpful and friendly.

Nice restaurant, very popular, polite and friendly front of shop staff. But from my point of view, it was very disappointing food. Now i was in a big party and most of them liked their choices and visually their choices looked great, mine however was just tasteless i ordered the octopus, which was supposed to be baked in olive oil and garlic, served with potatoes. The stars of the dish were the potatoes, fluffy inside, slightly crispy on the outside and full of flavour. The octopus, on the other hand, was tasteless, with no hint of garlic, just the olive oil. To get some taste flowing, I added the spicy rice, which was not spicy at all. Now I did have some chicken that was cooked lovely and juicy, and you could taste that it had been cooked on the grill. If I go again then I'll stay away from the octopus, but then that makes the choices no different from other burger/chicken restaurants in the area and this place did not stand above those to get me rushing back.

Superb food, wonderful service from "Diego" - yerp! Service charge was optional and removed with zero headache. Service was great, but we do not agree with this shoddy practice. The one star is lost due to no actual dessert menu quoting any pricing! A sample dessert tray is presented and the final dessert price for 2 was £14 (a whopping £7 each!).

Rob the waiter was very friendly and helpful. We arrived without bookings and were seated upstairs. Everything was fine, the rice I had with my chicken was a little bland and the half chicken was tiny, but I saved on calories. I should've taken a photo, it was more like a pousson than a chicken. No biggie as we had a good time generally. Rob the Italian waiter was very friendly and helpful, plenty of character and made the small issues with the food a non event.

Had my husbands birthday meal here. The staff were lovely and very attentive. They lit my husbands cake with a lot of candles which was great! The food was fabulous and lots of us will be back to try their unlimited wings night! Thank you so much for a fantastic evening you should all be very proud of the hard work you do. The food is so tasty and such good value!!

Beautiful atmosphere and amazing food, had the bottomless wings which were succulent and worth every penny...shout out to the team for the night Jan, Rob, Kiko and Gui, who ran a tight ship on a packed night...get yourself a Ginja shot, you won't regret it

We came as a group of 4. The first waiter was impolite. Quickly cutting us off when speaking to add that all food should be ordered at once. Sensible advice but needs to work on the way he interjects. No soft speaking skills. He just wants to take your order and get out of there. The second waiter was nice and he continued to serve us through the meal. The food was splendid and thoroughly cooked. The sweet potato fries were amazing and melted in the mouth. The ribs were super tasty. They didn't have Tabasco sauce but had an alternative which was just as nice. It was sriracha I think but not sure. The Bolo do caco mocktail was horrible. At first I thought it was me but then my friend group had a sip as well and agreed it wasn't of good taste. The Sumol passion fruit which is a canned drink is so much better. I would advise not to try any custom drinks here. The desserts were fabulous. There was a display tray of all the desserts and when we asked for a menu of desserts, they just brought the tray over to us, talked us through the options and we picked three different ones. The Pastel de Nata tasted great with cinnamon. The other desserts were great as well. 9/10 will visit again if in town.

The service was really good and the two gentleman was very friendly with us. Food was good as well and I loved the selection of food. Especially the cake options, they showed us on a tray what to choose from and how it is look like. Thank you so much to having us. ☺️

We have been worKing the past two weeks in Southampton and obviously need to eat. Tried a few of the restaurant's in the area. Diego's was the best Restaurant that we tried. Good food good choice good service. (even though they were busy they found us a table. Thank you.) They have good deals on the the food and to my surprise the alcoholic shots. Brilliant evening on both times we went. The staff are also amazing. Thank you guys and girls for a good experience in Southampton. And complements to the chef's I'm from London and know food and service how it should be. They hit the spot. Again thank you Diego's team.

What a little gem of a place !! My wife and I went here after hearing about it from a friend and we were not disappointed, the food was absolutely delicious 😋. I had the full rack of ribs and it was cooked perfectly, one of the best i have had, it literally melted in my mouth, my wife had steak and she said it too was lovely, cooked just as she had asked and no nasty gristle. The staff were great too, it was a Saturday night, we had not booked and they were VERY busy but they got us in after a little wait and they were friendly and attentive. We both agreed this place is new favourite and will definitely be returning. Try it, you won't be disappointed !!!!!

Best Portugur restaurant in Southampton!

I order food from Diego several times and the food always amazing. The food exactly the same as the picture from Uber eats. The sea beam grilled with garlic and the potatoes were seasoned really well.

Me and my sister went last night before going to the theatre they managed to find us a table . Brilliant team fantastic food I had the salmon really I have already recommended the restaurant to friends that are going up this weekend .

I just ordered grilled food to feed my 1 year old baby and the food arrived in less than 20 minutes. I appreciate the speed but this service is unpleasant. It was all raw inside and tasteless. There is no point in delivering it too quickly if the food is raw. I hope I don't end up in the hospital because we only just noticed the raw meat when we ate the first chicken nuggets. I wanted to avoid cooking and had to cook in a pan all over again… Now the food is dry and lost its meaning “grilled”

Amazing Food & Great Atmosphere! We had an incredible meal at Diego's Rotisserie in Southampton! We started with the croquettes, which were crispy on the outside and deliciously flavorful inside. For mains, we had the ribs and the mixed grill, and both were absolutely fantastic, tender, juicy, and packed with smoky, flavorful goodness. The portions were generous, and the meats were cooked to perfection. To top it all off, we had the chocolate cake for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending—rich, moist, and utterly indulgent. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. If you're looking for amazing grilled meats, great service, and a relaxed, authentic vibe, Diego’s is definitely the place to go! We’ll be back for sure!

Ordered a steak and asked for medium, it was served somewhere between rare and raw. The waiters were really nice about it and quickly replaced it however sadly it did completely throw me off the food. The cocktails were extremely watered down, chips bland and salad had extremely little dressing. The whole meal came to £70 for two people which wouldn’t be too bad if not for the poor quality of food. Lovely staff I just think the kitchen is sadly letting this place down.

I recently visited Diego's on a Thursday and was blown away by their bottomless ribs offer! For just £24.99, you get unlimited ribs, a side, and a drink – it's such an incredible deal! The ribs were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with a fantastic flavor (I chose BBQ flavor). The portion size for the side and drink was generous, but the best part was, of course, the unlimited ribs! It was such a crazy and amazing offer. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great dining experience. Highly recommend Diego's for their Thursday bottomless ribs – you won't be disappointed and your wallet will thank you too!

The food and drinks were good. We booked the second floor for our work New Year’s party last week. We were a group of 20. The second floor was friggin cold!!!!! We asked multiple times if we could have the heating switched on. They did but they turned it off again. We were wearing our coats inside! When we booked the table, we were told there will be a dj and some dancing but on the night NO DJ! Early on the night, the waitress said, once we finished eating, they can clear off the tables and put them away so we can dance. Come 10:30pm took ages for the staff to clear off everything! Left doors open to put tables away, so it was even colder inside. One of the staff told us it would be £200 to get a dj to come over. So NOPE! Becareful when booking parties.

As someone experienced in Portuguese food restaurants around the UK I must say that Diegos seems to be a bit pricey, the place looks clean and tidy, Rob was attentive and welcoming. The food was generally good, as a starter we had the Calamari fritto, very tasty and well cooked, the mains were well prepared also and decent portions were served but like I mentioned before a bit overpriced. It was a good experience overall. There is a 10% Optional Service Charge that you have to be careful off as it comes already included on your bill if you are a party of two or more and it is not mentioned on the menu.
