Diego's Rotisserie in Southampton

What a great experience Diego’s was. The selection on the menu was great, we shared the wings and ribs which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. A highlight was the desserts, the chocolate mousse was fantastic. We’ll definitely return.

Booked online and looked after by Rob who seated us straight away. Food was looked lovely we had the mixed grill and salmon for the main course and reasonably priced . Overall a really good experience. Recommended.

Food was very basic. We all ordered different items but the pork belly ribs came with sweet potato fries and that was it. There was no salad or colour added. The salmon was also undercooked. Expensive for not very much!

Really lovely meal at Diego’s for my brothers birthday. Staff were lovely, went above and beyond and even gave my brother a beer on the house. Food was amazing, great atmosphere, good lighting and not too loud so could actually hear the conversation! Highly recommend!

The food is amazing my favourite is the piano full rack of ribs it's fantastic, recently took my brother and he enjoyed the food. The service wonderful, great atmosphere. And the prices are very very good best so far, the food quality excellent. That's my restaurant to go to all the time, it never disappoint.

Thank you to Anton for taking such good care of us. My family (kids 9 and 11) had a brilliant meal here. Here is my daughter’s review: Incredible food, incredible service, an incredible atmosphere. We all loved the food (best chips and best wraps - the best halloumi wrap I’ve ever had) and all of the staff were so nice. It was so welcoming. There was an amazing variety of Portuguese cuisine for everyone. I would without a doubt go to Diego’s again: it was perfect.

Food was amazing! and we had a a large party of 7 ranging from the ages of 2 to 73, everyone was delighted with our meal. Service from our lovely waitress Milene, who was so accommodating and attentive to us and our meal was beyond compare. I cannot give a higher recommendation than this place for exceptional food and service. (We had vegetarians as well as meat eaters among us!)

I ordered the chicken tenders from here on sunday and have had food poisoning ever since do not eat from here!!

The local are nice, tidy and clean, very good choice of music in the background, solid and friendly service, good food, freshly made, bit pricey, for the sides is extra price not inclusive with portion of meal.

Have been ordering here for years but the portion size of the wings are now tiny!! and the prices have shot up! Every order placed they have not payed attention to! I.e "Extra hot wings" have little to NO chilli seeds because they just throw you out whatever wings they are cooking at that time! Ask for peri chips, don't bother! they always come plain and in the same box as the chicken, so are soggy in oil! Gone downhill these past few months! Smaller wings and none added extra to replace the portion size. Prices gone up, customer service gone down!

All you can eat wings have gone up £5 from £15 too £20 I can go to supermarket and buy bulk for £3 yet again another food place getting greedy

Good food, a bit warm in the restaurant, but overall good. We ate the Octopus, which was good and tender. Was a bit pricey we paid over 30 pounds for one plate and a coke

Clean and tidy restaurant, wide menu to suit a range of tastes and appetites. Have had the mixed parrilha twice and doesn't fail to disappoint.

Lively restaurant with great home style food. The hostess, Milene, was great and couldn’t do enough for us, always checking back to make sure everything was OK and/or if we needed anything else. The head chef, Miguel, came out and checked how we were enjoying the food, he really cared about what he was plating. When we arrived in an Uber, were weren’t really paying attention to our surroundings, but when we left we saw the restaurant was in the middle of a block, surrounded by 15 -20 other restaurants and Diego’s was the only one that was busy. Suggest you get a reservation before visiting!

What a fantastic experience. This is a family business and a hopping place on a weeknight. The son of the owner, Diego, was our server and was perfect in every way. Helpful, attentive, personable and with great recommendations. If you are ever in Southampton, you would do very well to check them out. Just ask for Diego and especially for his dessert recommendation.

We came to Diego’s for Wing Wednesday as we haven’t been for ages and my wife was disappointed with her poor effort of one plate last time :-) Our waiter Roberto explained the different wing heat options but we opted for the herby coating. I had chips for my side while my wife had salad. Roberto was attentive and spotted when our plates were empty and asked if we wanted more wings and, if so, if we wanted to change flavours. We opted for the same but on my third plate I went for mild which still had a kick! We had a great time and it was a pleasure to be served by Roberto.

What to choose to praise ?!!! Because everything is so delicious!!! The best barbecue ☆☆☆☆☆, grilled ribs with several sauce options, delicious Portuguese food and the service is wonderful, it feels like family, a very cozy atmosphere! We will always come back! !

Ricardo was super friendly. Food was superb, the prego was massive and such good value for money, the bitoque was amazing and also massive portion. Really recommend, closet food you will get to traditional home food. Muito obrigada✨🥂🤩

Positive: nice grill restaurant, calm ambiance, tasty food (pork ribs, wings, potatoes, chicken drumsticks,...), virgin pina colada and mojito were just ok Negative : waiter clearly ignored our request to take off optional fees, we asked him twice and he said 'yes no problem'...

We came earlier this evening. Was a 60th birthday celebration. We arrived a little earlier than we had booked and we were seated straight away. The staff were very attentive and very friendly. Ordered drinks and they came very quickly. The nice thing was, that they they didn't rush up to order food. When we finally ordered and the food came. Oh my God. It was quite simply amazing. I had the belly post rashers and were cooked to perfection. The birthday boy had a t bone steak and it looked so tender. We also ordered sardines, the rude boy burger and ribs. I have never tasted ribs like these before. They literally just fell off the bone. To top the evening off. The staff then brought out a cake with a sparkler and sang Happy Birthday. Thank you for a wonderful evening. First time coming to Diego's. But will definitely be back and highly recommend.

It was super tasty, inexpensive and the service was great. Nice little restaurant which is furnished with a lot of love. A bit spartan perhaps. The food was very good. The portions are a bit small for me, but I don't think I'm a standard eater. In short... It was great and when I'm there again I'll definitely come back.

Only in Southampton for 1 night and found this wonderful authentic restaurant. The food was superb. Hot and portion size was good. Service was really good and reasonably priced.

Not sure if it was an off day or if it was a delivery issue but I couldn't rightly reccomend this place. I'd been looking forward to trying this place for a couple of years as I enjoy Portuguese food. I finally ordered from them and selected the Bacalhau com Broa and the Octopus a Lagareiro, both of which weren't good. My partner has had delivery from here before and it seems like they've changed the way the octopus is prepared as there were no grill/char marks this time around and the flavour was bland. The texture wasn't rubbery which is a plus, but the photos show a nicely charred ocopus with parsley, garlic and olive oil. What turned up in the takeaway container was octopus swimming in half an inch of liquid, some onions and bay leaves. The bacalhau was bland and not in a home cooked, comforting way. Again, heavy on onions and bay leaves to the point where I'm not sure there was any fat or salt in the dish. The portion of salt cod was generous and not over/under hydrated but a bit of a chore to get through. The fries and punched roasted potatoes were both good, no complaints about that.

This the 2nd time in a few months that We have been There and We are Planning to Come Back At Least Once a Month

The food is extraordinary, without a doubt one the best Portuguese restaurant I have ever visited in England.. and yes, I travel all over the country.. the atmosphere was spectacular and they were super welcoming.. I am 8 months pregnant, and they were super attentive to me.. thank you for the dinner and for the cod with cornbread which was delicious. Thank you..

Lovely food edges of ribs where a little hard for my taste but overall would recommend also very crowded on rib nights so be prepared if you have any form of anxiety

This was the first time we had gone to Diego's Rotisserie. Staff were very friendly and explained what some of the dishes were. We had bread and balsamic oils, a starter each, and Bitoque for the main. All the food was delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be going back to try some more dishes.
