Marcellino in East Devon

Ate here for the first time today, I had the beef soup and my husband the lasagna. The service was great, really friendly and welcoming. The food is not overly fancy, just good honest homely food, done very well. The soup was a hearty serving packed with veg and big chunks of stewed beef, full of flavour and very filling. Lasagna is one of those dishes of which you can find mediocre versions on any pub menu, but this was something else. Proper, home-cooked, delicious. This is the kind of thing all cafes should aspire to: a simple menu but delivered perfectly. Loved it.

Visited on Sunday with my husband & son. I like my coffee very weak & they could not have done more to make my coffee PERFECT. My husband said that the Hot chocolate is amazing. My grandson also loved his hot chocolate, Thank you. 5 star customer service .

Was in Sidmouth today went to marcellino had some chicken soup obviously home made and delicious coffee is excellent as well bit expensive but service excellent All round a very nice time coffee and food recommendations 10/10

Marcellino has become our favourite coffee shop in Sidmouth. Family-run, very pleasant service, coffee is delicious, and often we are tempted by something to eat. Light and airy interior, take a window seat and watch the world amble by. Simply the best for us :)

This is the rudest café owner I have ever come across. I simply asked how many shots were in the Americano and I was treated like an idiot. He was rude and condescending. He quoted me £4 for a double shot coffee and when I went to walk out, him and his assistant laughed at me through the window. A really horrible experience. On the positive my large family and me found the Brown's Kitchen Bakery just down the road which was outstanding. £2.50 for double shot Americano and free homemade cake samples as well. A complete joy! Talk about chalk and cheese. I know which I will be going back to.

A fabulous family run Italian restaurant. The food is all prepared and cooked in house to order. For this there may be a short wait but the experience is well worth it. A wonderful atmosphere has been created and the proprietors and their staff are very attentive. One is not left with the feeling of being ripped off.

Wonderful welcoming cafe, with truly amazing, authentic Italian cakes. We had a selection of cakes, biscuits and pastries - they were all delightful. Meravigliosa ❤️

What a delight - so glad we popped in here yesterday - transported us back to Italy 🇮🇹- lovely service, brilliant pasta, best coffee we had for a long time & the Sacher torte - DEVINE !!!

I visited yesterday 12th January. I remember the premisis when it was retailers for clothes,clocks etc. What a difference the shop has been transformed into. The welcome we received was first class and the coffee and pastries were really good. We will be back again on our next visit to Sidmouth.
