Tried to have lunch here today. It was lunchtime and with the relatively small choice of meals and snacks available, (breakfast stops at 11:30am) it would have been reasonable to assume that demand could be met. Wrong! With only three quarters of tables occupied, my first choice of meal was unavailable due to a lack of potatoes. So, having had to choose another dish, twenty minutes passed before being informed that an ingredient for that was missing. I found this unacceptable and left having been refunded for the inconvenience of having to put up with such shoddy service. I was not the only complainant and something needs doing to improve service in this establishment.

Planned a visit for lunch prior to visiting garden centre. However left without eating as although not busy, every table was dirty and the floor too. Even the menus were unclean. Put us off eating here.. Staff more interested in talking loudly and what wasn't available on the menu today. Not a nice experience.

This is a handy stop if you need a break travelling along A3 as it’s only a very short diversion off the dual carriageway. Cafe is to the right just inside garden centre entrance and although the centre itself is small and not worth a visit in itself, the cafe is. Although only small, it does have outside seating front and back. Reasonable prices and freshly prepared food plus an easy going atmosphere makes this a great place to meet up and enjoy a light lunch or just coffee and cake.

Took my grown up family (6 of us) to this lovely little cafe, when the snow came, for breakfast. Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked to perfection , great coffee and one of the best eggs benedict I’ve had (good job Angela). Lovely friendly staff (Max) and since then we have made it a regular. My daughter couldn’t resist the lemon meringue pie to take home. Well done!

The lady operating the till on the day we visited seemed out of her depth. She had to continually have help from her colleague who was preparing food. For this reason a long Q developed at the till and some people near the back of the Q got fed up and left. the windows in the cafe were dripping with condensation which made lunch rather a humid affair and some ventilation would have been welcome. However, the food was delicious and cancelled out some of the negatives, but not enough for me to plan a second visit. Such a shame, as garden centre cafes are a must for us!

A good place for a rest stop on the way to Portsmouth for tea and cake as very little diversion required from the main road.

Around Christmas went in "Maple Cafe" when I was waiting for my wife who was shopping next door in Hillier G.Centre.... I was horrified by the overpriced items on offer there and understand why it appears to be almost empty !!! if it is the same business with the Hillier G.Centre ?!? costumers could be given an incentive, maybe a free cup of coffee or tea voucher ? at the till of the G.Centre next door to make it more busy and inviting... Just a constructive suggestion !!!

Hillier's Garden Centre cafe used to be easier to find before the A3 moved from its old route. Now, travelling north you have to watch for the Liss turning, cross back over the road and then immediately turn into Farnham Road. Travelling south, just take the Liss exit road. The cafe is very nice, serving morning coffees, afternoon teas ( and special bookable afternoon teas) and a good selection of hot light lunches. The chef was preparing items for lunch as we arrived and could be seen in the spotless kitchen area as he worked. The lady who served us was very pleasant and we enjoyed our coffees and carrot cake. It's well worth the diversion if you are travelling and want a quiet and reasonable stop for a snack or a drink. Afterwards, the shop attached to the nursery area has an attractive variety of qauality goods on sale.

We visited today and will definitely be returning, took advantage of the Priceiswight deal and had 2 courses for 2 people 25.00 pounds.... Was the best Sunday Roast dinner we've had in a long time, plates were warmed, food excellent and service was very good, plenty of parking and noticed they have quite a few offers on during the week at lunchtimes. Lovely location too for a countryside walk before or after.

Been to quite a few Harvesters, you know what you're generally in for. The exception here - fantastic service. On a late Sunday evening, with a bunch of starving and cranky kids, service is so important. Emily C. made such an effort to engage with the kids, ensuring speedy service and communication throughout. Getting great service anywhere is exceptional in and of itself, but getting it when you're with you're family is a diamond in a hay stack - and this was exactly that. Emily and the team's service was so fantastic, the rest of what you might like/dislike about a Harvester doesn't matter one bit.

Booked a table online, taking a chance on a place to eat we had not eaten before. My wife and I were with another couple and had the following from the menu: Starters; 2x Ham Hock & Cheddar Croquette, Mustard Mayo. 1x Cajun Tiger Prawns, Asian Sauce, Mixed Leaves. 1x Nachos – Sour Cream, Guacamole, Salsa. Mains; 2x Slow Cooked Rack of Ribs, House Made Barbeque Sauce, Fries, Coleslaw (1x half & 1x full) 1x Quesadilla, Toasted Tortilla Wrap with Melted Cheddar, Onion and Peppers, with added Cajun Chicken 1x Cooked Venison Haunch Steak, Chive Mash, Seasonal Vegetables, Port Reduction, Berry Jus. The food was outstanding, all of our food pierced at the table hot and freshly cooked, flavour of all the dishes was fantastic. I had the venison dish and it was exquisite. Staff were very friendly and helpful, with table service and a good knowledge of the menu. We would all definitely return to this pub/restaurant. Food and drinks were reasonably priced.

Staff did their best but the wait was long and when it arrived it was cold and very poor. Been sitting around for awhile so was dried up. Staff did offer replacement but was past it by then. We had 4 tapas plates and it was only the kofta that was worth eating. Very disappointed
