Without doubt the absolute worst pie and mash we’ve all ever eaten. We’d been to Mother Mash and someone said you should try Manze’s they’re even better. Unfortunately they weren’t - they were dreadful. We couldn’t even look them in the eye when we left. Thankfully they never asked how our meal was. Small portions too. Definitely go to Mother Mash - far superior.

Great 👍 place for a tasty meal, seafood lovers like me and my husband,especially people who enjoy the eel. Just to taste the Victorian kind of everyday meal for workers in those days is a good experience 😋. They were first established in 1892.

Surprised my mum she was made up . She loved it . They also sell vegan pies which are amazing . Perfect lunch or dinner

I’ve been eating here since the 70s it’s easily the best pie and mash I’ve ever had and I’ve been in most of them. George the owner and the man who bakes the pies is a lovely guy and took over the shop from he’s parents in the 80s honestly I can’t stress enough this is without doubt the best you’ll ever had. I always ask for a burnt pie 🥧 😂

This is a top quality, authentic, traditional London eating experience. Pie ‘n Mash shops are gradually closing because if changes in demography and ‘healthy’ eating habits. Manze’s is one of the few remaining. Make the most of an excellent, traditional London eating experience while you can.

The ambience is not that of a traditional pie & mash shop, It is in a modern, tiny arcade or side street and it it's décor is that of a café. But the pie & mash is excellent. The last time i was here the pies were luke-warm, but on this occasion they were piping hot. The mash and liquor is superb. They had no hot eels unfortunately even though they were advertised on the board. I will be back.

I went to the Saturday morning market at Deptford which is always worth a visit. This area of London, to me, is a hidden gem which I’m pleased to find. I’ve been to the market several times and walked by Manze’s and finally decided to take the plunge and try a pie! I did a take away and it was delicious. The staff were super friendly and we had a great chat over the counter especially about my little chihuahua. The food is good solid food and the experience of such a well beloved traditional venue and food is so worth the effort to visit. I would highly recommend. Next time I’ll have to sit in and absorb the old seating and tiles! Loved it.

If you’re seeking a proper pie and mash joint then Manze’s is the one. As a born and bred Londoner, I’ve had a lot of pie and mash in my time but this has to have been the best. The pastry was great, filling perfect as was the mash and liquor. I had a glass of Sarsaparilla with it which I throughly enjoyed. Alongside the fayre is the incredible, original early 20th century exterior and interior of enamelled tiles and church pews which just adds to the overall experience, not forgetting the friendly, warm welcome that Deptford has never lost. We will definitely be back!

Placed an order for pies, mash, liquor and vinegar for delivery during the latest COVID-19 lockdown in Wales. Ordering was easy, delivery was on the date selected and was well packaged with everything arriving well chilled and in excellent condition, with storage and cooking instructions. When emailed for advice, my query was dealt with swiftly and in a friendly manner. A discrepancy with pricing was dealt with swiftly with a refund being applied to my credit card instantly. Our pie and mash meal was excellent and took us down memory lane from when we lived on London. Now we know that we can order online, we will be a regular at Manze's, even after the COVID-19 lockdown. I stopped on the way back from London after surveying a job, they could only offer takeaway buts it’s still the best Pie and Mash I’ve had to date. Normally each pie shop has their weakness but these guys seems to have a great recipe for each element. Will be back for sure!

Manze's in Sutton high street along with Tower bridge road are superb for London traditional grub of eels, pies, mash and liquor.

No sé la zona lo suficientemente bien para divina que es la mejor de las tiendas locales de tarta. Pero a este punto mas de Goddard's sólo porque durante los pocos minutos que estábamos en la había dos Manze o tres pequeños grupos de gente y hablando de más y bantering sobre las tartas. No puedo decir si mejorado los sabores básicos abundante pero fue una comida memorable.
