Portobello Road'a giderken Notting Hill'de indğimizde tripadvisor mobil uygulamasından çevredeki restoranları listelediğimde ismi gözüme çarptı.

A small little shop looked like the ideal place to have a little bite of pizza for a late lunch. As you walk in you immediately see the case with half pizzas to choose from or a selection of dessert. We chose a half mushroom pizza to eat there. While we waited for the pizza to be heated with sat a small table with linen tablecloth and the food was served on a china plate. The pizza crust was crispy and had a light coating of tomato and cheese with some slice mushrooms as well. Simple but tasty.

1 cupcake to go.I was very excited to have what looked like a nice cupcake with pink icing.Very expensive cupcake.I took a bite and the icing popped up off of the top in one clump and nearly hit the ground.Cupcake was so dry that it was nearly inedible, very obviously at least 2-3 days old.Icing was ok tasting but was quite hard because it seemed old and dried out.I wish I had taken photos.Server was very nice, but this was a terrible cupcake.Give this one a miss.

I visited Manzara on passing one afternoon not knowing what to expect. It has a sort of old world feel about it.It's quaint I suppose you would say.I had a Pide which was good to eat and I ate every bit of it.The toilets are down pitch black tatty stairs where the light only comes on when you get to the bottom. The menus are old and well handled which seems to mean the prices are old. However the prices are EXCLUDING VAT. This is explained at the bottom of the menu as is legally required. This is the only restaurant I have ever visited which prices in this way.Would I visit again?......Only if I was desperate for an excellently tasting Pide.

I have recently returned to London from my trip to the USA and was looking for something to add some of vitamins and nutrients back to my diet after eating nothing but meat and cheese over the past two weeks in New York and Boston.I came across Manzara whilst sauntering through Nottinghill Gate this afternoon and I have to say this was the best Turkish food I have found in London so far, it was like the food my father used to make (I am of turkish heritage). The food was great, the staff were hospitable and polite and talked me through the menu and the daily specials, they reconmended a mixed meze followed by a mixed grill. The mixed Meze was delightful, light and healthy with aubergines and other vegetarian starters and a few meat options too this definitely got some vitamins back into my body after 2 weeks of nothing burgers and steaks haha. The mixed grill whilst was a meat dish came with charcoal grilled chicken and lamb which was very tender and grilled to perfection, there was also a decent side salad with olives, peppers, lettuce, and sundried tomatoes...it was fantastic.I finished up with some Baklava and a turkish coffee which is the perfect way to finish a turkish meal off.All in all I'd recommend it, the service was excellent, the food was great and surpassed my expectation as it was quite like the food my family used to make for me so it tasted like a little piece of home. The location was on the way towards portobello market and I discovered it competley by random but as I am now in London I shall be returning with friends. The price was very fair for the area although the VAT added at the end of the bill seemed odd but heck if the UK passes a law to add VAT then I guess it's fair and I'm not sure how else they would do this.Overall, i'd recommend it to anyone looking for low to mid range prices for great food and great atmosphere.

We stopped by Manzara while exploring Portobello Market. The waitress was very sweet but seemed a bit confused about the menu which made us even more confused. My husband and sons all had pizzas and I ordered the spinach pide and everything was very tasty. We also ordered the hummus appetizer and then also received pita, yogurt and olives. It wasn't inexpensive but I don't remember being terribly shocked...London is an expensive city.

Excellent turkish food, found the shop whilst walking around notting hill and looked very traditional, highly recommend the food, they gave us free pitta bread and dips and free cake after and offered us free turkish coffee. The only problem is the prices advertised are without VAT, then they add it on the bottom of the bill which u may not notice, they need to change this as it puts people off coming back, if they change it then i would come back many times!I was happy to pay the extra as all the freebies they gave us, thanks guys from the 2 lads that left at 4pm on 7/5/13

Terrible experience. We went just for some croissant and for 2 tea take away and we spent a fortune for having half of what we asked for: bad patisserie , we specified by the first moment that we were going to take croissants in and tea take away.Eating the croissants we asked for 2 coffee and considering the 2 waiters they both forgot the spoons, I asked for tea 3 times and they charged us for one black americano and one americano with milk. Ok, you are close to Portobello, but if you want to sell coffee, patisserie and others, if you want to charging me you have to offer quality, and I didn't find it!

I used to pop in to this cafe by NH Gate on my way to work in the mornings for a lovely fresh croissant or pain au chocolate (the best and cheapest in the neighbourhood!). At the time they didn't do takeaway coffees, so I'd have to go next door to Starbucks for my caffeine fix. Good news is that they now offer coffees to go, bad news is that their menu seems to have gotten much more expensive! From the minute I saw the prices on the menu I had a bad feeling, and should've just got up and walked out! A standard English breakfast was priced at £6.95, as well as the "American", which is what I had my eye on since it came with pancakes and bacon. What it also came with was a waffle which I wasn't so interested in, as I have a smaller appetite. I asked the server, if I had the American without the waffle would it be slightly cheaper? She wasn't sure so she grabbed the other guy working, he came over and said I could have it without the waffle, but could get extra pancake or bacon instead for the same price. Which completely defeated the purpose of having a smaller meal! I said fine, in that case I would get the scrambled eggs with toast at £5.45, which I thought was still way too much but was fine with out of hunger and laziness. He asked if I wanted white or brown toast, I said brown, and ordered a coffee as well. When my original server came out with my meal and I saw the white toast, I was quick to let her know I'd actually ordered brown. When she started walking away with it to get it changed my hunger said "nevermind!" and told her to leave it, I'd eat it anyway. To which she replied sorry, sorry! I said no worries, it's fine, and started to dig in. A minute later she comes up and says, oh, he's making brown toast for you, to which I replied, again, It's fine, please tell him not to make it, don't worry. Another minute later she appears, with brown bread on a plate (which may have been toasted for all of 20 seconds), and says, he made it anyway, sorry. So while I appreciate the fact that they tried to correct their mistake (really, it's just toast, no biggie), the thing I was most upset with was when I went to pay and realised they charge VAT on TOP of their already high prices and I ended up paying £9.12 (YES, REALLY) for the most basic of meals. I could've went to any of the other cafes in the area (Le Pain, Tom's, even Ottolenghi!) and had better quality, options, service, and atmosphere for around the same price (or even cheaper!). Needless to say, I didn't tip, as the whole experience was so under-par it was ridiculous. On a side-note, there was a man who sat down and ordered a tea and received a cappuccino...to which the server (same girl) said, oh, sorry sorry! And when she went to take it away he said, nevermind I'll drink it anyway. When he went to pay his bill, she had actually charged him for the cappuccino because he drank it! Don't think he was impressed either! All-in-all a bad experience, and I definitely won't be returning! Hate to say it but will probably just end up at Starbucks next time...

We came for tea and cake, we ordered mint tea and baklava. The tea was lovely and the baklava flavourful and fresh. The issue I have is the cleanliness, the teacups had dust, grease stains and lipstick marks still left on the inside. The tea pot was dusty and seemed not to have been cleaned at least on the outside. This can easily be fixed and once it is then I’d love to come back.

A delicious British chicken was about the best thing on the menu. It came with rice and adornments. Also had Baklawa for dessert. Would have given them five stars if they'd had tea/coffee/hot drinks available. Location's nice too and handy for a visit to friends!
