The mixed shawarma was unbelievable and the staff are marvelous. This is my go to restaurant in South Kensington for dinner on my way back to the hotel. The portions are so large I have a before bed snack. The food reminds me of months in Lebanon…

Awesome levanese food for food lovers. Their chicken and lamb shawrma , hummus , liver , javaneh , fatoosh , cocktail juice ,mishwhi etc . Must go and try . Halal .Chicken or Lamb wrap only is just for around £6 . Baklwah as a dessert and mint tea is akso very tasty .

Estos chicos conocen su comida libanesa. Sándwiches (en el Reino Unido conocidos como 'kebabs', pero eso no es correcto), ensaladas, mezze fríos y calientes, platos a la parrilla, platos al horno, todo está delicioso. Y no le tema al vino tinto libanés. Probablemente lo hayan estado haciendo más largo que los países de Europa occidental (aunque tal vez se hayan quedado cortos de potencial). Fui a esta sucursal de Beirut Express dos veces durante mi estadía en Kensington.La primera vez, pedí Batata Harra y verduras fritas como envoltura para llevar. Llegó rápido y fue correcto.La segunda vez, pedí exactamente lo mismo: Batata Harra como envoltorio. We had a fabulous spread. The dishes are not cheap, but absolutely fresh and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant.

Got a quick takeaway for shawarma, quick service and good food. Little pricey though. Good for a small lunch or late snack

Guau, terminamos volviendo a este lugar en nuestra última noche en Londres después de viajar a unos locales diferentes en nuestra luna de miel. Fue eso. Bueno.El servicio también fue maravilloso. Un personal muy amable que conversó con nosotros sobre nuestros viajes e incluso nos trató un delicioso baklava también.Prueba este lugar. ¡No te decepcionará!

I was naturally sceptical of this place – from the outside it looks more ‘functional’ than anything ‘enticing’ and I seem to remember having been to one of the Maroush restaurants on Edgware Road and being underwhelmed, but this ‘Beirut Express’ turned out to be a pleasant surprise.Inside this restaurant is rather bare and cramped. It doesn’t know what it wants to be – a destination of choice or a relatively affordable convenience. However the food or rather the quantities make up for this. I’m of the opinion that you can’t go far wrong with Lebanese cuisine but also that at the same time I’ve never had an outstanding Lebanese meal and the food in this restaurant fits neatly into said middle ground but with the added bonus that if ordering starter & main between more than one person then you’ll probably have enough left over to take home with you for a cheeky snack when you get indoors. There’s also probably no point in ordering deserts because in our case they provided us with complimentary fresh fruit and sweets anyway.This isn’t a ‘go to’ destination and I can’t imagine that it would make for a special night out for anyone but if you’re in the area and you want a non-expensive decent and filling sit-down meal in a clean environment (note to ‘Bosphorous’ next door where the meat dishes are superior but the environment and service dreadful) then this should suit quite nicely.

Staying locally at Queens Gate 100 hotel.Walked in to order Iftar take away meal - was told card machine doesn’t work have a problem. Upon order, guess what it worked fine.Ordered a fatoush, chicken shawarma and shish taouk sandwiches which was £17.50 in total. No please, no thank you, no eye contact, nothing from the suited chap who served me.Sat for few moments and sandwiches were prepared in front of me. I had to remind the chefs about the salad however.The taouk was good, shawarma very dry and average - didn’t eat in full. Salad was nice and strong with lemon, however, far too many tomatoes in there which again I didn’t finish although a healthy portion.Personally, second time, once sat in and now take out. Not for me.

We've been to this restaurant over several years and it was always a first choice when we were in the area. Our most recent visit however was a bit disappointing - the food and service were okay but not inspiring and it seemed less good value for money. It's still a useful place to stop if you are nearby but perhaps not a destination.

An excellent Lebanese restaurant in the heart of South Ken. Excellent service, menu, and delicious food. And to top it up, a great personnel who is very client - friendly. Have been a client for a decade; recommend it highly.

Popped in here for the first time with two friends. We all had different main meals. The veggie stew was a bit oily and food could have been a bit more flavourful. Staff were not overly friendly but were attentive. The Hommous and bread was yummy as a starter. Got quite busy - so must be a popular spot with locals

Really tasty food, express lunch was great with plenty of food. Fresh tabbouleh and shwarma all good. Only disappointment was no Beirut beer.

Cada vez que visitamos los museos, venimos a almorzar, ya que la comida es buena y es un poco más tranquila, ¡pero no en este domingo! Incluso había algunas personas cenando por su cuenta, pero la comida aún salía rápidamente y las porciones iniciales parecen haber crecido un poco, así que también los precios. No nos decepcionamos y cuando pedimos llevar algo de comida a casa, llenaron la bolsa con pan plano y una caja de frutas. Pero, no baklava esta vez con el proyecto de ley por desgracia - tal vez la próxima vez.

We dined here with 5 colleagues about 7pm and were seated promptly.

Excelente. Gran Okra (cálido) Falafel cocinado a la perfección con un buen Tahini grueso. Jugo de mango que no puedes encontrar en ningún otro lugar y una deliciosa ensalada GRANDE de Fatoush. Jugoso shish taouk. Falafel recién hecho adecuado con un buen Tahini espeso.

Fueron rápidamente sentados a su llegada. Después de un período razonable, nuestra orden fue tomada. La comida llegó rápidamente. La sopa de lentejas y una ensalada eran muy buenos. La envoltura de pollo shawarma era buena, pero pequeña para el precio. Nos dieron un plato de fruta gratis después de la cena. Con té y café, y un 2. 75 cargos por servicio, la factura era un poco menos de 25. Si no fuera por la zona de asientos en la parte de atrás, este sería solo otro restaurante para llevar.

Estuve aquí para almorzar hace solo unas semanas y realmente disfruté mi comida. Estuve aquí con mi esposo después de una visita al Colegio Imperial y al Museo de Historia Natural. La salida de Beirut Express se encuentra a poca distancia de la estación de metro de South Kensington. Nos sentamos a unos pocos segundos de caminar en el restaurante. El personal era muy amable y nos atendió con bastante rapidez. We found this restaurant following an afternoon at the nearby V & A - it fitted our bill, as we were looking for something a little bit different and unusual for dinner.

This restaurant is located nearby our hotel and we had walked by it many times. It doesn't look like much from the outside. Sort of like a carry out. But we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. There is a dining area in the rear. They have an extensive wine list. The food was excellent. I would DDfinitely go there again. Wonderful Lebanese food.

We popped in here after seeing a fabulous exhibition at the V&A;, absolutely famished. The food was delicious - fatoush, hummous, warm pita. Just perfect! And the staff were great too.

Spotted this place while walking around South Kensington and decided to pop in for a quick lunch. I had the chicken shwarma sandwich and the boyfriend had mixed shwarma sandwich. Very good pricing and the sandwiches were delicious and perfect for a quick lunch. Great service with complimentary olives and little dessert bites.

Hemos estado en este restaurante varias veces y nunca me ha decepcionado. . . . . . . . . . . Desde el frente parece un kebab house, pero cuando entras es un fantástico restaurante con excelente servicio y la comida deliciosa.

... and it was as good as the first time I went. Absolutely delicious. Again, we had the set menu for 2. Hard to pick a highlight, it was all so tasty, and again, more food than we could eat. Can't wait to return.

From the moment we entered we were made to feel very welcome. Food service was prompt and hot. Houmous smooth as silk, shwarma fantastic. Took me straight back to when I lived in Abu Dhabi. Management could not do enough for us. Proper Lebanese mint tea to finish. Will be back next time in London. Perfect

My mother and I came across this restaurant on the only rainy evening during this sweltering hot summer. We ducked in when we saw that it was a Lebanese restaurant and watched the food being prepared at the counter. This is where we chose to sit. After a warm welcome we perused the extensive menu and settled on Shwarma and Fatoush. The warm flatbreads were crying out for houmous, a quick request and this was at our side in minutes. Beautifully creamy and topped with lamb, this was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. We were defeated by the large portion, or maybe our eyes were to big for our stomachs. The lovely manager came over with a serving of baklava and a chat. We discovered that he lived and worked in Abu Dhabi at the same time as my parents, in a restaurant they frequented, Such a small world. The lovely atmosphere and the food bought back wonderful memories of fabulous times. We finished our meal with a serving of fresh fruit and a complementary pot of mint tea. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are in London. Highly recommended!

I can not believe the service I’ve had from this restaurant. Spent £47 on 5 dry wraps through Deliveroo, one of which was the “Hummus shawarma” and consisted of 3 flatbreads still in the supermarket cellophane, a box of lamb and a box of hummus (see photos). For £8. Not only that but the owner was belligerent and rude, and hung up on me when I asked for a refund. No sauces on anything, dry meat, dry rice. Do not recommend.

Another nice meal at this busy, friendly tasty place. Food comes in big portions, very well flavoured with traditional dishes you expect in a Lebanese restaurant.

Accueil peu chaleureux. Plats corrects sans plus. Pratique pour manger rapidement au bar ou en “take away “. Si vous achetez pour emporter, évitez le tabouleh. Il est en général gorgé d’eau et la moitié de la coupelle est remplie de salade verte. Il y a en fait de moins en moins de tabouleh. Les valeurs sûres restent le shawarma et le hummus.

Great food here, really enjoyed having the Hot and Cold Mezze which included Maqaneq, Lebanese Sausages and the charcoal grilled meats and fish, really good lamb shawerma.

Good like all Maroush restaurants. The usual kibbeh, Cheese Sambousek, mountable, Fattoush, etc and the kebab skewers which I have not tried as I am only into the Mezze!

Food is yummy especially the parsley salad. Found this place by chance and it was a very late meal but it was worth it. Would recommend to anyone looking for take away, quick stop or even to enjoy an evening of delicious food. Friendly staff.

La gente de allí era muy servicial, a pesar de estar tan ocupado! ! No libro, pero nos consiguieron una mesa, y tenía comida, antiguos. Fueron generosos, e incluso nos dieron extra, para nuestro pan pitta. Cualquier comida que no terminó, me prepararon para llevar.

Scrivo in italiano per comodità dei turisti italiani. Sono stato qui con vari membri di famiglia. Il ristorante è piccolo e easy, informale. Buona cucina. Ottimo antipasti tipici, ottimo spiedino di,pollo, meravigliosa zampa di agnello cotta alla perfezione, da sciogliersi in bocca con contorno di riso. Buon servizio e conto ragionevole. 125 sterline in 5. Consigliabile per un pranzo o cena easy senza spendere una fortuna.

Me hubiera pasado este aspecto desde el exterior pero el nombre me alegro fui! La comida era fresca y deliciosa. Este es adecuada y buena comida libanesa de calidad. El personal era muy agradable también.

We live Lebanese food, and stopped into this place on our first night in London as it was just down the street from our hotel. We were very happy with our meal of falafel, fattoush salad, stuffed cabbage rolls and roast chicken. The portions are very generous; there was enough to feed four with that order. Really enjoyed the perfectly done falafel, moist in the center with a good crust. The generous portion of fattoush salad had a great blend of greens, tomatoes, and cucumber, with an excellent dressing of sumac, citrus, and pomegranate seeds. The hashwi rice was excellent. The chicken was tender, moist and nicely flavored. The cabbage rolls seemed overcooked and mushy but had good flavor. aWe were given a dish of complimentary olives, and another complimentary plate of fruit and pastries to close the meal. The sweets were divine and bite-sized bits of heaven. The only thing I missed was bread; and I think our waitress may have been new, for she didn't check back with us, nor clear empty dishes. But a great meal nonetheless.

Je dois avouer que mon expérience est un peu biaisé du fait du mauvais accueil subi, personne ne s'intéressait à nous pendant 2 min à l'entrée du restaurant, et deux minutes à faire le pieds de grue avec un regard de désespoir c'est long.Hormis cela, la nourriture est de qualité, un bon point pour l'agneau (à essayer pour les amateurs).Vous trouverez des prix pour toutes les bourses (les sandwiches commencent à 5£ environ et suffisent largement pour manger sur le pouce).

I go here almost everyday, at least 3 to 4 times a week during my lunch break.My favourite dishes are the fattoush salad, fresh piping hot falafel with tahini, chicken and lamb shawarma never disappoints, incredible. On top of all the great food the service is excellent too! I love this place, thank you.

The food was really good, well presented and delivered to the table in good time. A trap for new comers, the restaurant brings out a large bowl of these delicious olives, then a bowl of fantastic bread. We were certainly well fed by the time we left.We will return.

We were looking for a quick meal for a last night in London - four of us- we were drawn in by the delicious food we saw the customers eating at the tables outside. A basic middle eastern menu but what delicious food - two of us had the mixed shawarma on a plate - I had the entree size, the other had the main size - wow! The best lamb we'd both ever had and the chicken was just as good - the lamb and rice dish (not good on names here) was well liked as was the felafels. Very generous portions all round. We shared a couple of ME salads and chips - great chips but not salted and no salt on the table. We finished with a complimentary late of fresh fruit - perfect for the very hot night it was. A very comfortable restaurant, service fine. If I was a Londoner like two of us were this would be a regular - this has topped their list for ME food. Thank you.

ordered a take away from here, mixed Shawama wraps and chicken shish. Both were lovely. They also chucked in some free baklava and Lebanese bread which was a nice touch.

From first meal years ago to this week, always delicious, clean and generous potions. The mouhamra (red nutty starter) and the jovanneh (char grilled chicken wings ) favourite, the vermicelli rice with lamb shanks so tender and not too spicy. The wraps are very good value and tasty.

Varied menu. Love their chips but everything else is pretty average. Like the fruit and sweets in the end.

I'm Lebanese and I was craving a dish (grape leaves) which they had there and it was ok. The food is all around average. Tabouli is dry and lacking lemon and oil. The kibbe was also dry. Nothing was terrible but not so fresh either. Nice staff. The other restaurant they have are better.

A friend told us to go here and we weren't familiar with lebanese food. But wow what a joy!! Family friendly, always busy, great place for dinner!

We had a late lunch here last Saturday after doing a couple of the South Kensington museums, choosing it more by luck than planning, the menu looked nice, it wasn't full. What a surprise, it was really excellent. The quick light lunch, ended up being a longer one because everything was so good. We had some of the meze, and a couple of wraps, wine and beer and coffee, and came away determined to return for a bigger meal. The frontage is a little deceptive, the counter seats and front of house kitchen/food prep gives it a diner/takeaway appearance from outside, but it extend back and out into a T shape with more seating in the restaurant. The food was superb, good looking selection of wines, but the house white Lebanese wine, and Beirut Beer we had were both very good. Finished with a small cup of Lebanese coffee, think, sweet and strong as it is supposed to be. Could not fault the service, we did not have to wait for anything.

My partner and I came here for lunch on our way to visit the museums. It was our first time trying Lebanese food and we really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly, the cafe is very clean and tidy. We both tried kebabs which came to our table wrapped. The waiter unwrapped them for us on to the plate. I had a great cappuccino! Wraps were only £5 each and they were perfect. We will definitely be visiting again,next time to try dinner.

One of my favorite restaurants in London. Beautiful Lebanese dishes served by friendly staff. If you've never tried it go for the mezzo, normally served at lunch time. The staff are very accommodating and will advise on dishes. Try the Beirut beer - lovely

We went here for late night food. The food was hearty and filling, perfect for late night fare if a little bland for some dishes. The service could be improved with a few smiles. Overall decent lebanese food.

Came for lunch. The food quality was very poor. Olives salty - burnt your throat. The bread simply warmed and not fresh. A number if the dishes had human hair. The taboulleh poor in taste and bland. Other dishes were also not good. These include Rahib, Spicy Potatoes and Halloumi cheese. Just poorly cooked. The toliet were unclean and a female staff member simply entered the male toilet without knocking. This is part of the Maroush Group but is a failing restaurant. Avoid. Spend your money elsewhere.

I have been to Beirut express for a number of times with different group of friends and colleagues. If you like middle eastern food try this place and you won't be disappointed. the felafel is by far the best one in London. The service is not the best but it s reasonable. they dont charge you for service charge neither. The chicken kebab is a bit dry but Swarma is amazing.

I've been here twice while in town. Both times pretty good service, both times very good food. No complaints. Staff were nice even though they looked super busy. Place was packed on both occasions, so I ate at the counter. I would go back again.

Been here many times and while the service is always icy, the food is pretty decent but I won't be back after my last visit. Last time I was there the kebab chef, while handing me my food, tried to pour it out on me. He didn't actually get me, thankfully, as he forcefully shoved the food at me and spilled the meat out on the floor. I hadn't said a word to the guy and he had no reason to do what he did. My friends and I were pretty shocked by what happened and sat there dumbfounded. We won't be coming back again.

I've been coming to Beirut for several years now and I love it. The food is authentic, fast and fresh, and generally delivered with a smile. The wait staff are always happy to top up bread and the food portions are excellent sizes which are equivalent to the money paid. We opted for several dishes from the mezze part of the menu - before we'd managed to take a sip of wine they started arriving! Really delicious flavours, the food really is good, so don't be deceived by the bizarre looking shop front. However, Beirut obviously does a roaring trade in take outs and deliveries. We were sat nearish to the front door and there is a CONSTANT stream of Deliveroo and UberEats drivers. I'm not surprised it's so busy but every one of them left the door open, making us and our food cold. Also, it's really unnerving having someone in a motorcycle helmet hang around while you're trying to eat. It did not allow for the nicest of environments. I appreciate this is an issue in other places, but I think delivery drivers should be more aware of where they are standing (wait outside?) and take more care about closing the door behind them. I also think that if they are going to come in then they should be asked to remove their helmets!

Don't be mistaken by the cafe look of this restaurant. The Lebanese food is of a very high standard indeed. This is London, so you will pay a fair bit. But the food is delicious!

It has been one of our favourite places to get take away or to have a quick eat-in dinner at the counter.We love the Chicken Shawarma and the Mixed Shawarma as well as the Tabbouleh and the Maroush Salad. Food is always fresh and very tasty.The service is great and everybody is very welcoming and friendly.

Quality food. I eat in or get food to go. Never disappointed Best Lamb I have had in the city. Great prices.

I had a early afternoon sales meeting in South Kensington and prior to that I wanted a healthy lunch, where I could be seated and with reasonably quick turnaround so I could get to my meeting on time. The Beirut Express II completely met these expectations, and I will also add that the food was truly excellent. Price-wise it was good value for money, I had three starters (which were generous portions), bread and Olives, some mineral water and some Lebanese "amuse bouche" style pastries at the end and spent about £20, which for a truly fresh meal is really good value for money.

O hummus e os shawarma no prato muito bons! Atendimento muito eficiente. E ao final da refeicção sempre te poem um prato de fruta variada e um par de baklavas oferta da casa.

My wife and I eat here whenever we are in London as we believe this to be one of the finest, well priced Lebanese restaurants in the city.The food is always of the highest quality and the service is spot-on.BEWARE - don't order to much, the portions are very generous and we have often left with a doggy bag to enjoy later....often a case of having eyes larger than my stomach!A true gem.

I have been eating at this cafe/restaurant for years. I have eaten Lebanese food on many occasions in the Middle East and this is as good as any. I don't understand why there are comments about small portions because I have found the opposite compared to other Lebanese restaurants. Yes it's pricey but I love their food and now they deliver through Uber :))) I can't recall eating anything I didn't like or bad service although not a big fan of the wine. Edgware Road restaurant is good too

Food was really good. The waiter went away before we finished ordering dtinks so had to orser one aftwr the others came. We ordered a range of starters and one main between 4. Food came in a strange order and slowly. The main was obviously to share with the range of starters buy didn't come till we specifically requested it. The food however was fantastic and service was friendly, inviting and pleasant. I just think you unfortunately need to be able to tell them exactly what you need and when. Would definitely return.

I live and work in the area and I can say that South Ken isn't blessed with nice places to eat, so Beirut Express is no exception. To be honest the staff are rude and unhelpful almost to the point that it is legendary amongst our friends. The food is beyond average and very overpriced. However as the title (and my friend) suggests, it is open late. Follow this advice A) are you drunk/is it late -> go here. B) are you sober/ is it early -> walk on a bit more.

Undisputedly the worst meal I’ve ever had. Service was appalling and we unwittingly ordered some sort of Lebanese white meat stew which was disgusting. We must have accidently ordered the wrong thing, but I’m definitely not a fussy eater, it was abhorrent. I really should give the place another chance, given the mix up with the menu, but the staff were too rude to waste my time risking it.
