Since the owners have gone to Newton Abbot, the idiots that have been put in place they can't understand English. Asked for a large portion of chips &a mixed portion of meat, what I got is large portion of chips and lamb meat, food has totally gone down hill since these idiots have taken over, won't be back charged £11

Have 1 large chips plus sausage s and fish chips so 2 adults and 4 kids great food and great service

I think they're the best kebabs in Gloucester, you get a lot of meat, great salad and a good choice of sauces

Very poor slow on service and the chips are over priced taste like cardboard hardly any salt and vinegar £2.60 just for chip well over priced should be £1.90 the most for that garbage they serve

Has it changed ownership? I have been travelling several miles each time for the last 20 years to get a chicken kabab from Manuel’s, they were the best in Gloucester. But, today’s kabab was the worst I have ever had. 2 slices of tomato and 3 of cucumber and less meat than a vegan burger. I will not be going back again. Such a shame. RSVP Manuel’s.

I have just had one of their fabulous chick kabab. It was the worst kabab ever. Only half the size as the last time and no sauce or salad. If I was to guess I would say it was the vegetarian option. If you want something good bo NOT go to manuel’s. RSVP.

2 weeks ago brought a large cod. Got it home, it stank the whole downstairs out. Even the car the next day still stank, we put it in the bin, not edible. Yesterday I brought sausage and chips and a curry sauce. After I finished, I had stomach cramps and spent the whole night on the loo on and of. Place used to be so good, but I will never go back.

Has it change owners ? got a Kebab weekend and instead of succulent chicken it was just bits that tasted like cardboard , had to bin it . Normally very good

Huffing and puffing because a customer came in 30 mins before closing time! Most businesses now a days would be grateful for custom. Wish I hadn't bothered now anyway as the chips were crustier than a homeless man's toes!

I have eaten alot of kebabs over the last 30 years and tonight I have to say that was absolutely Top Notch, Large mixed kebab with onions fried separately, fresh salad, Sarachi style chilli sauce and mint, beautifully cooked, succulent and very tasty. Perfection

Worst place to have food Takes too long for food to come out They have no standard hygiene as I saw them picking up food from the floor straight to one kebab Fish was dry and burnt My burger was disgusting and I found a red hair on it the salad did not tasted fresh The curry sauce was spoiled cause as soon we got home it was bubbling up and smelt awfully Never to return as I ended up going to kfc

Chicken kebab last week was a pitiful site a diabolical attempt at salad, was a slither of red onion, small amount of lettuce, half a slice of cucumber, a slice of tomato . This is the second poor kebab I had , the last one was the unused chicken legs chopped up full off soft skin and fat . Never again.

First time customer, and was not let down. Went for the mix kebab - good quality meat/chicken and a decent portion size too

Food here is varying sometimes extremely good but I've had not so good food from here also. Real shame it not consistent.

Greatest fish & chips in the area

Normally the food is nice but last night the chips were horrible. Soggy, undercooked, stuck together. We couldn’t eat them, threw them all away! The large cod fell apart when I picked it up. Very disappointed with the food normally I have a decent meal, put me off going again to be honest!

Ordered a quarter pounder with cheese with ketchup....well....it was absolutely drenched in ketchup and really soggy. Had two bites and threw it in the bin. Really disappointed! Won't be going back

Amending this after todays chips (was 5 stars) they was super greasy, soggy, couldnt make up my mind if they was reheated or undercooked. But staff as always was great and friendly. Please improve the chips again !!

Visité hoy para pescado y papas fritas para el té con mi abuela, MUY caro y nada agradable. 3. 40 por unas fichas grandes, y obtienes una bandeja pequeña, suficiente para alimentar a 1 persona. Casi 14 por 2 peces grandes y una papa grande, no es un cliente satisfecho. ¡No iré allí otra vez!

Best fish and chips I've ever had.

Fantastic chippy ive ever been too, the staff are all so lovely & funny they will have a laugh with you, the food is always cooked brilliantly. Kebabs are top notch, the best kebabs ive tried so far. Portion sizes are definitely worth the money. Always fresh chips & fresh fish when ordered cant say anymore good things about this place. Five stars from me but if i could give them 10 stars then id definitely would.

Just had a kebab from here, absolutely gorgeous. Lovely big fresh salad, the meat was chunky and tender (chilli sauce quite hot). Lovely staff.

I'm getting fed up with them advertising open till 10.30 on a Saturday night and getting there just after 10pm and they are already closed they are tiding up and looking at us but cant even acknowledged we are there as they don't want to serve us that's such bad service say your closing earlier if you can't be bothered and talked to us when we are outside looking I. And say sorry we closed early tonight again

Second visit to this chippy and I was disappointed again. The chips were dry and two small sausages seemed to have been kept warm for perhaps longer than they should have been. On this occasion I did go in just before closing but none the less the food should still be up to standard. Better chippys in the area that I'll stick to in future.

This place continues to impress. I eat fish and chips all over the uk but I always come back here. The fish is often huge, chips cooked properly, fast service and for the quality the price is great. I’ve paid for ‘luxury’ fish and chips in top restaurants which weren’t even close to this places quality. Been going for over 15+ years and still great. I happen to know the owner used to chef for a posh restaurant near Berkshire and it shows by the quality of the food he produces.

Still the best chicken kebab in Tuffley/Quedgeley.....always fresh, full of salad and tasty, I always ask for the cooked onions and it adds so much to the kebab. Keep up the good work, I also treat myself to OAP fish and chips with mushy peas (not OAP but it's great value and enough) best value I've come across and always have to wait which = hot fresh tasty food !

I dropped the wife off for her works Christmas party (to which I was not invited) so on the way home popped into Manuels for a mixed kebab. This is not the first time I have had a kebab from here and it will not be the last. AS ALWAYS IT'S THE BEST KABAB in Gloucester came home put the football on and enjoyed my KABAB
