Recommend to us by a friend who’s a local to this pub, we were not disappointed. Food and service was superb and staff all very attentive.

1st visit to the manor house Inn, great little place very friendly and fantastic service. The food was hot and plentiful.

This has to be my favourite place to dine in Cornwall. The food here is excellent! Absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming, there's a free car park and the location is lovely. I seriously can't recommend this place high enough. If you're in Cornwall, give this place a try! I have a serious nut allergy, and this is the only restaurant I feel truly safe. Hats of to the chef here!

Food was good with a great selection to pick from. Service was OK. A little slow but I don't think they were many staff to support. Worth booking ahead as there are not that many tables. They were great at finding us a table though.

Nice eatery in the village of Rilla Mill. A real pub with an important social function. Tasty food without fuss.

My wife and I are down on holiday and was treating ourselves to an evening out, the food at this place was very nice & can not fault it even if waiting times were quite a wait. The thing that let it down was the chef who approached a table of a group of people with a child & was overly loud about an issue & ended up silencing the room of conversations, this made us feel very uncomfortable and we can't bare to imagine how the table of people felt as it was not a nice tone & was clearly something of his own fault so they shouldn't have been approached in such a way & in an unprofessional manor. We won't be returning on our next visit even if the food was very good. The chef needs to be addressed about what is acceptable & what isn't .

Super food. Busy pub and restaurant but staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Dined with a party of 6 on a Friday evening.. Everybody had something different and all agreed that the food was of the highest quality. The service was excellent and we never felt rushed. The Tarquins Special dessert is a firm recommendation. Will be back for more.

I love stopping in random village pubs and the Manor House inn was lovely. Very inviting, busy atmosphere and the food was amazing! My 8oz sirloin steak was possibly the best I’ve eaten. My wife had the lasagna and was equally impressed. We’re not from the area but if we’re down this way again, we’ll definitely pop in.

Some of the best pub food I have ever had! Me and my family have been away to Cornwall many times but we've never thought of visiting this place. The Manor House itself is located in a tranquil picture-esque village and creates an amazing homely sense. The inside is nicely decorated and is very welcoming. It's very well kept and clean, it is very much loved. The food itself was absolutely stunning. I got myself a steak and it has got to be one of the best I've ever had. It was amazingly tender and so well cooked. I got mine Medium-rare and it was so juicy and melted in my mouth. The staff were so welcoming and made sure we had everything accommodated for, including allergies. My sister is lactose intolerant so it was lovely seeing them accommodate for her and allowing her to enjoy food without any allergens involved. And for desert I got the raspberry creme brulee and it was stunning. It was super creamy and tasted amazing. The raspberry was hidden at the bottom but it added just the right amount of tartness to balance out the sweet. It was incredible. If you're passing by I'd say this is a must. Their food is incredible and most definitely worth it.

Visited for the 1st time &had Sunday lunch. All the food was of very good quality, great selection of vegetables. Everything was homemade. Very reasonableblt priced Definitely will return

A carvery to relish. One of, if not the best tasting carvery I've ever had. The beef and ham were cooked to perfection. The range of vegetables was massive. Everything was as tasty as if it were cooked at home. A fine appetising meal served by friendly and attentive staff. My family and I will definitely be returning.

Went for a Sunday carvery and had lovely experience. The food was brilliant and you couldn't fault the staff, especially the man serving the carvery. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Sunday Carvery was excellent with large choice of freshly cooked veg. Staff were warm and friendly. Will be going back again and would recommend it to anyone who likes a value for money meal.

A great English country pub. Warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff. Good selection on the menu with fish of the day and specials. Prawns and scallops for starter then chicken burger, omelette, scamp and fish. All were really tasty and generous portions. Cracking pint of St Austell ale too. Cannot fault the place, well worth a visit.

The food was great, but the service was awfully slow. This isn't always the case and really depends on who's working, so I've known the service to be much better. I think the flavours of the food are amazing, so kudos to the chef!

Carvery was the best Ive ever had (I am 27 and love roasts). Potatoes were fluffy and crispy, meat was spot on. Thank you.

Great food. Had the omelette with cheddar and cherry tomatoes with chips and green salad. Soft and tasty. Dessert was a lovely raspberry and lemon sorbet. Great service and presentation. Pub packed so glad we had a reservation.

Fabulous welcoming hosts for Christmas event

In spite of the fact that we had not booked for the Sunday lunch Carvery we were given a table. The locally sourced beef was succulent and flavourful. The good spread of vegetables were served with interesting variations. We will definitely return to the Manor House Inn but will be sure to book as it's really popular.

I went for American night with a group of friends. The staff were really friendly and helpful, despite it being busy. The food was awesome, my absolute favourite was the Mac n cheese, but the rest of the options were also excellent. We all had a great night and it was excellent value for money.

Went there for a meal with my family 2.5 months ago. Am from Singapore, girlfriend can't stop thinking about the Pesto Tagliatelle with the garlic bread it is so beautiful that we tried to make it ourselves but it is NOWHERE NEAR AS GOOD AND WE ARE SO SAD because she wants it again but this is so far away 😭😭 Eat the pesto tagliatalle she says it is life-changing and she dreams about it at least 3x a week.

We had a meal with relatives, we have been before and always had a good meal and this time I have to say the food was fabulous and presented well, staff good too. The only negative to the night was a very large dog, the size of a small donkey in the restaurant, why I am a dog lover I think there is a time and place for everything and in this case not a restaurant when someone commented they could smell dog, this could put people off. Three for atmosphere only because of this reason.

The staff were so busy but always smiling - And so were the locals. The food was great, but the lasagna was a little dry. That's no reflection on the Chef, it's just an opinion. I had the pulled chicken burger. It was fantastic! The puddings were out of this world!

Had a very good supper here - scallops & bacon to start with followed by the beef burger & chips. Both dishes were really tasty and the staff were very cheerful and so was the overall atmosphere.

Great service, friendly team and made to feel very welcome. Can get busy so I would advise you to book in you want to dine here.

Had a lovely meal here and the waitress cum sticky toffee pudding baker was very friendly. Pudding was yummy. We went on Caribbean night and were not disappointed. Well worth a visit. Not too pricy either.

Genau so stelle ich mir einen Pub in England vor! Teppichboden, eher dunkles, aber gemütliches Ambiente, Dartscheibe, Billardtisch und leckere englische Biere! Dass jedoch auch noch das Essen so vorzüglich war macht dieses Restaurant zu etwas ganz Besonderem bei meinem Englandurlaub. Der absolute faire Preis des Abendessen muss hier auch noch erwähnt werden. Vielen Dank!

Stumbled across this little hidden gem after walking at Sciblyback. Small carpark, ample outdoor seating would be great for summer evenings or just a sunny day!. Friendly staff made us feel welcome and the cherry on the icing.... it was carribean night! Lovely variety of buffet (my fav). Would definitely recommend and return

My only regret is we couldn't stay longer. All the locals are friendly, had few laughs. Beautiful location, clean and well maintained. Me and my girlfriend Ania can not speak highly enough. Food and staff 2nd to none, would have given Manor House Inn 5* but we booked and were given a table in the bar area instead of Restaurant, will know for next time.

Loved this place for it character and age plus a bonus parking. The best breakfast in 3wks of being on the road from London. Great meals were had at dinner. One night in the week they have a great steak and wine deal for 2

Went out for a drive with my partner and granddaughter, came across this little gem of a place. Stopped for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. The portions and food was amazing. Staff were lovely and polite. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Went for Sunday lunch which was a carvery, choice of two meats plus veggie option available. Meat was freshly carved and lovely and tender and you could serve yourself the rest, including potatoes, peas, carrots, parsnips, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, sweet potato mash, massive Yorkshire and as much gravy as you want. Great value for £12.95, total was £34 for two with two alcoholic drinks also. Usual warning about narrow roads etc. but just go steady and be ready to stop with oncoming traffic.

Wonderful meal, of the best quality, in a beautiful setting, and friendly helpful service. Looking forward to returning 😀

First time going here even though its just up the road for us! Decided to visit for dinner and we were very impressed. We didn't book as it was a Wednesday. All food is cooked to order so the menu is not extensive. Rilla Mill is so picturesque and this must be a lovely setting in the summer. Decent car park at the side of the pub. Warm and cosy, small bar area one side and restaurant area on the other side of the bar. A lovely young lady seated us, gave us the specials details (correctly) and served us drinks. She was working alone covering all diners and the bar but did everything with a smile. We had gammon steak and a beef burger. The gammon was succulent, tasty and not salty, and all accompaniments were delicious and well cooked. The burger was MASSIVE, homemade and juicy - literally more beef than bun. It defeated my partner! The whole dinner was gorgeous and not expensive. We will definitely be back soon. 😊

Absolutely wonderful. Firstly, thank you to megan, such a busy girl but still had time to welcome you properly. The food was absolutely fantastic, the Manor burger is Huge, complete with cornish yarg on top and a delicious sweet red onion chutney /relish. Feel absolutely stuffed 😂. My partner had the gammon with pineapple slice, a nice big field mushroom, chips and peas. The gammon was delicious, tasty and not at all salty like some are, and thoroughly devoured. We are now both absolutely as full as an egg. It's a lovely place to sit, eat and just relax, no loud music, friendly people and just a nice atmosphere. Perfect, thank you for a lovely evening

Had carvery last Sunday11dec.Tried many local carveries, most lovely, but I think we've found the 'Go-to' carvery! I was in Sunday lunch heaven,other 3 in the party r equally impressed. Beef can be hit n miss,I'm often cautious...shouldn't have worried! Tastiest, tenderest bit of beef I've had. Roasties-back for more( which I never do) ,perfect Yorkshire's etc.Managed to squeeze dessert (dunno how, was delightful but it defeated me.n the vultures pounced!) I'd recommend to anybody, but I don't want the secret to get out! Wonderful meal X

Our favourite pub in the area. We always love their fish and chips and their daily dishes are amazing. Everything is made fresh and tastes amazing. It is also dog friendly. Very happy to recommend.

We went here for dinner on Sunday evening, the food choice was good and not excessive so made choosing something much easier. The atmosphere was friendly including our dog and very accommodating. The food was great and we did not leave hungry, definitely somewhere to revisit 👍

We're here on holiday for the second time and the first place we headed for was The Manor House. The place welcomes you like family and the service is second to none.... The food is stunning and cooked to perfection. Tonight was the first Pie Night and I hope its the first of many. They deserve every success, Thank you from us all and not forgetting Moose....
