I don't think this place even needs reviews. It is so easily 5 Star! This is by far the best chippy I have ever had in my 43 years of life. I bet, in a blind test, this would rival that place in Whitby where the queues go right down the street. The fish bites are out of this world and the queues are testimony to its greatness. Prices are insanely cheap for its quality and I cannot believe I am lucky enough this is right on my doorstep. Worth travelling to, do it!!

Popped in here on our last night on holiday in beloved North Yorkshire. Fish was cooked to order and tasted great, we also had a battered sausage and chips too which also tasted great. Keep up the great work, was a pleasure to visit.

Had come across this fish shop some 2 months earlier by accident and the fish & chips were superb. Made a beeline for the chip shop Wednesday last coming back from Teesside at tea time and another excellent fish & chip tea.

Currently on holiday at Cayton Bay and we couldn't find a chippy near by that was open mid week. Luckily we found a local who said we should hop in the car to this place and it was well worth the 5 min car ride. The portion sizes are huge, even I struggled and I have a big appetite. We also had some kids meals that came with a drink, a lolly and some colouring including crayons. Happy family all round. The food was cooked to order so all very fresh. Would definitely recommend 👌

Wife and I passed it after a long journey returning to Bridlington from Teesside last night. I wanted a McDonalds when we got home, she won the argument and made me return to the chip shop we’d just passed…. Pleased we did. The fish and chips she bought for herself had to service 2. The fish was fresh with exceptional batter, the chips were were perfect and all covered in onion gravy and all for less than we pay for fish and chips were we live. Will feed up there again when the opportunity arises

Ok so I tried this fish shop for the first time and they are amazing, the staff are very friendly and the food was excellent very large portions, well worth the money I will definitely be going there for my fish n chips from now on.

I used to go to this fish shop quite regularly a few years ago when I lived local, so thought I would give it a try once again even though it had new owners. The lady behind the counter was very polite and efficient. The food was plentiful but when I got home the chips were luvely, but the rest wasn't, the batter was very hard making the rest inedible, so ended up throwing it in the bin. Be a while before I try it again.

Still the best chippy (imo) in Scarborough . I got a huge freshly caught and prepared cod, batter was lovely, the fish itself was cooked to perfection, juicy white fish and crispy batter. The chips were also freshly prepared and fried. Lovely !!!

just had fish & chips from the manham hill chippie in Eastfield, scarborough had to queue 2m apart for about 40 minutes because of the virus but they were well worth the wait. scrumptious x

We absolutely adore the fish and chips served here, great value for money and the size of the fish served is tremendous, we come all the way from Peasholm park to enjoy the Fish, very cheerful and great Service.

Visited today on our way home from York. We usually go to the nearby cheaper chip shop and restaurant Papa's but not anymore. I asked for two lightly cooked fish both with chips and received freshly cooked, hot fish and chips which were divine. At £6.90 each they were exellent, yes you can get cheaper down the road but in all the times we've gone to Papa's they've never been as good as the meal we had today. It takes a lot to please me where fish and chips are concerned to the point that I would rather do without if I know they're going to be rubbish. The lady who served me was also very pleasant and happy. Well done.

Go to Scarborough regularly and always visit here for the best fish n chips in the area. Just perfect.

I have now been 3 times to this chippy and I can honestly say I will not go anywhere else now, the food has been well cooked in a decent portion size, friendly staff and good opening hours. We live just out of the area and find the local chippys are too busy so the chips are usually hard and under cooked, this place needs recognition as it is a 'proper' chippy and is worth the extra mile.

Had home-made fish cake, chips and peas. Fishcake was ok , peas ok, chips were all bits and what few chips there were was as hard as nails. It was like trying to chew pencels. They must have been kept warm all night. Would not return as place to avoid.
