MANDALA - Himalayan Dumplings & Lunch Boxes in Hackney

Encontré comida callejera Mandala en el festival Poole Harbour. El tazón de Nirvana con algunas albóndigas de cerdo y puerro fue la mejor comida que encontré durante el fin de semana; buen tamaño de la porción, gran condimento, fabuloso sabor servido por gente amable a un precio razonable. La salsa de garbanzos fue lo más destacado, gracias por estimular algunas papilas gustativas!

Defo recommend the seasonings offered to go on top of the dumplings, good heat with the chilli oil! Super friendly customer service too 👍

Short version: 3 out of 10 for the dumplings. Any Chinese dim sum dumplings have more and better taste, even the frozen ones you can buy and heat. Thick skinned and bland, even with supposed spicy sauces. Couldn't tell the beef from the pork. Also they are quite pricey for what you get - not good value. Long version: Decided to try their food as they had the shortest queue and I love Asian dumplings (rest of family went for the burger stand). After queuing for 10 minutes got to place my order and pay, then on to queue waiting for order. Finally got to the front of that, when they had to change gas and bring out new tray of dumplings. After another 15 minutes finally got served. Disappointment. Rest of family, having already finished eating by the time I got back to them, all said their burgers were one of the best they'd ever had.
