Man Yee Fish & Chips in Rother

It was amazing the food was brilliant. Staff were really kind. The food was so good I couldn’t believe it I had to order seconds. I had Chinese take away and a fish and chip both were top tier. One of the best Chinese I’ve had in England.

So we had been staying in a cottage and preparing our own food, but on the last day we had ran out and so decided to treat ourselves to some fish & chips and Manyee came to the rescue. After a little google search I found this place only about 10 minutes from our cottage. It was just what we needed and we were very grateful.

Having tried the Chinese food which was excellent, I decided on the fish n chips. I’m always sceptical about establishments that do both cuisines however, the fish n chips was delicious. Under the current climate, the food is very reasonable. The owners too are a lovely couple who always have a smile to welcome you.

While the food is tasty (although it can be hit and miss) you will be charged incorrectly (once is a genuine mistake but after that its actually deliberate). You ask for a large portion of food and will be given a much smaller amount but will still be charged for the large portion. That’s stealing!

We eat from here regularly - more often than not we get Chinese dishes and they’re beautiful. Fresh.

Really polite hard-working people who serve up the best fish and chips around. Portion sizes are top-value, while there's a distinct lack of grease and they take the skin off the fish, all important things to me. Parking is iffy on the A21 BUT the effort is worth it. A BRILLIANT PLACE. Large cod for about £6.50 in this day and age is exceptional value for money as is the food here. I didn't know they did Chinese takeaway. I'll have to give that a try.

This takeaway is great. The food is always excellent. A small menu done well as restaurants should be. Very friendly and fast service.

We didn't fancy cooking and this is only a short drive away, we got the fish and chips. As always, friendly service and excellent Fish and Chips.

My daughter has just moved to the area. Brought 3 Cod and Chips and 1 Haddock and Chips, best I've had in years. Very large size portion of fish and nice and thick. Batter was crispy without a hint of greasyness a superb meal. Chips were well cooked and crisp and fresh. Well done.

we were house sitting in the village, so were very pleased to find this place on our doorstep, great takeaway, busy main road but parking around the corner. we had fish and chips but there was a chinese menu available also, may try that in a couple of days, the lady behind the counter very welcoming and chatty been there years so must be doing something right, the fish was cooked to order and was very good batter crispy and chips crispy on outside and fluffy in the middle, prices were fair, well worth a stop if your passing through

Chips. Although. Early. Evening, were. Soggy. With. Fatty. Oil, in. The. Glass. Cabinet. Food on. Display looked. Unappealing. I. Have. Had. Good. Chinese take away, but. Chips. Etc. Poor. Quality. Think. Whole. Place. Needs. Up dating.

Great fish and chips as well as other food also great take away Chinese always freshly cooked, you can phone up and order for collection open lunchtimes as well as evening would recommend

Had two plaice this evening pre ordered by phone, fish fresh and white, good portion and nice chips highly recommended

Been here on a regular basis since moving to the area. It is stunning and well worth visiting. Best chips I have had in a long time. Cod is lovely and always huge. Misses out of 5 stars as there is a lot of batter on the fish. Which is lovely tasting actually just too much for me. Do visit this place it's amazing. Luckily for me I can walk to it so parking isn't an issue for me.

Always great Fish and Chips, you often have to wait while it is cooked, but if you have to wait for it to be cooked you know it has not been sitting on the warming shelf for ages. As others have said it is on the very busy A21 and parking outside can be a problem with the traffic but the public car park just round the corner is only a few steps away.

Very good fish and chips. Cooked perfectly. Can park outside if your're brave enough. I personally would park around the corner in the public car park.

Best fish and chips for miles, parking is an issue, but it's only five minutes walk from a public car park, worth the walk!

Great fish and chips and great value Chinese takeaway food. Problem is they are on the A21 and whilst you can park outside, you won't win many friends! They claim to take phone orders at weekends, but recent efforts have proved futile....
