Mamma Pastrama in City of London, Westminster

Very good burger, good fries and nice staff! Perfect for a lunch or dinner after a long day of walking or shopping. Our second visit in 2 days!

De zaak ligt midden in Soho. Geen slecht concept. Het is eens iets anders dan de vele fish and chips en hamburgertenten. Reuben lunch was top!

Delicious food and amazing service. I love the music too. In fact I will recommend this restaurant for every one. I had their famous Reuben sandwich, my first time and I loved it, I felt in love with it instantly. That sandwich is a banger I loved it. Their service staff is also friendly and they play very good music

Had lunch at Mamma Pastrama after stumbling across it while exploring Carnaby St during a weekend in London. Surprised to see the negative reviews. We found the staff really helpful and accommodating. Everywhere was busy in the area on Sunday afternoon but we spotted a table at the back here and the waiter set it up for our family of 5. It has a nice ambience inside looking out. The reuben pastrami burger was excellent and the rest of the family thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had a great lunch at Mamma Pastrama today. I had the Reuben with Fries and Pickle and my friend had the Kimchi Pastrami Toastie - both were very very tasty (I tried both!) The service was friendly and efficient and the place was buzzy and had a nice vibe. Best pastrami in London? I have not found anywhere better.

Turned up at 12ish after seeing online the place was open from 11:30. Asked if they were open, the girl at the front had no idea, turned to the back to ask and the reply was “do we look like we are f***ing open” we then asked when they’d be open and the answer was “don’t know”. Absolutely baffling for a Saturday afternoon

Nice looking place and menu. Poor service - waited ages and staff just looked uninterested. Ordered a Reuben with fries and an IPA expecting it to look like the photos on their advertising and Facebook. Food arrived and looked nothing like the pictures - barely any pastrami to be seen - little flecks amongst all the sauerkraut and certainly not the overflowing slices that Facebook makes out. Rip off for what was served and wish I’d taken a picture of how bad the sandwich was. Wouldn’t return!

On a rare day off work together, my husband and I had lunch here, what a waste of time! The service was awful, we should have left straight away. The female member of staff just did not want to be there, she was rude, looked utterly miserable and did not say a word to us. My husband enjoyed his beef burger, but my chicken burger was not nice. I have never left a review like this before, but I wouldn’t want anyone else to receive the treatment we received.

Had my first ever Reuben sandwich here and wasn’t disappointed!! Really tasty and good sized portion. Also had what I think has to be one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had - apple pie flavour. Would go back for that alone!! Good service from the waiter and wait for food was minimal even though it was moderately busy. Would return. Thank you :)

Rapina a mano armata 5 panino(che in realtà sono mezzi, quindk 2 panini e mezzo) 5 birre 92 euro . Oltre l'attesa anche sto furto, buono quanto vuoi ma è assurdo Siete PAZZI Ah il tutto take away

Heerlijk genoten van super lekkere pastrami zoals pastrami bedoeld is! Mac & cheese voor onze dochter was ook een schot in de roos 😋

Such friendly and efficient staff. My food was filling and delicious. All four of us enjoyed the food and drinks. A bonus was 10 % off our bill because my friend looked so much like a very much loved but lost auntie.

Its difficult to find a well made Pastrami, Salt Beef or Reuben Sandwich in Central London Area. Brass Rail at Selfridges or Tongue & Brisket come in mind but the former is in a shopping store which is not my best idea to go specially for a meal and later closes quite early. So recently when I was hunting for a Reuben which is made by heart and innovation, I had to dig quite deep. My search took me to Soho where Mamma Pastrama caught my eye. I entered as my beef tooth was craving badly. Lying right in heart of Soho, the place is hard to miss. Once I entered, I got more vibes of a bar than a deli. Darkly lit with neon signs all over were bit of a surprise for me. A friendly guy came to take my order and brought appetizer of popcorn, something I love anywhere. They have great varieties of Pastrami sandwiches apart from a traditional Reuben like Kimchi Pastrami, Salmon Pastrami, Beet-Reuben along with choice of Burgers and specialty Sandwiches like Chicken BLT. I ordered what I was there for, Reuben with drink. While my order was being prepared and I was enjoying my popcorn, I could see my Reuben being crafted behind the bar with care. Reuben at 14 GBP with fries is very reasonable for the quality and taste of their Sandwich. It feels so fresh and innovative yet the soul of Traditional Reuben is in every bite. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I also liked the service who was humble yet friendly. I find their prices to be adequate for a chefs love for Pastrami. Definitely worth trying just for the Reuben and ambience.
