Malt Mill Coffee And Bakery in Hinckley and Bosworth

Just a bus ride from Leicester, small and cosy place to eat for a breakfast, which we did, and had their pancakes and chocolate and hazlenuts. Enjoyed it so much we went back (we had time to kill in Barwell!) for lunch and had a lovely rustic lunch. Tasted excellent, portion sizes just right. Nice and fresh food, great service. Enjoyed our two visits in the one day very much. Would definitely return.

Just fab ! QUALITY ingredients Sublime eatery Will not mark down for this next comment but for me, didn’t enjoy such a small-enclosed space to eat and then furry friends came in also. I will eat out next time but their certainly will be a next time

This café has always been amazing every time I have visited. I have chosen this place a few times now for breakfast/lunch and have enjoyed the food and service every time. It has a lovely homely feel to the place which radiates a warm energy and the staff have always been so friendly. I shared two lunch dishes with my friend today and they were both delicious. The staff were talkative and engaging with every other customer that walked in which led to a big smile on me and my friends face. It's nice to see some passionate staff for once!!! 10/10 would defo recommend.

Love this place! After ParkRun I had their poached eggs and avocado on sourdough (although I REALLY wanted the American pancakes and bacon 😉). Eggs cooked to perfection, chilli flakes and sea salt on the eggs and avocado add to the dish, plus the great bread and pea shoots make for a well cooked and well rounded dish. One of the best dirty chai lattes I’ve had recently. Nice and polite staff, amazingly quick service, and good ambience. Make sure you book a table, as it is very popular (for good reason).

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast. Beautiful, well cooked ingredients sets this place apart. It’s NOT your usual greasy spoon. It’s miles away from that. Recommend booking as it’s super popular

Best English breakfast along with the best coffee in the area bar none. Really nice little quaint place in the middle of barwell. Decorated in an old school vibe with local historical pieces dotted around on pictures and pieces etc. Staff / owners are really friend and accommodating. Got this place spot on 👌 10/10 will return.

Have seen posts from Malt Mill and always thought how lovely it looked. Came for the first time today to celebrate our parents 53rd wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food was quality as were the hot drinks. Friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond. We will definitely be back for cake! Thank you x

Just got home from Malt Mills Greek themed night, the beef stifado was lovely, the beef so tender it melted in the mouth, the onions took me back to Skiathos. My daughter said the orange and honey cafe was delightful as was the baklava. Great food , thank you so much Donna Paul and the team.👍

Friendly, homely and dedicated to making a great coffee. Wonderful homemade cakes, (class A almond slice on the day we visited). Just be careful as it closes quite early. Thoroughly recommend, worth a detour.

This is a little gem of a coffee shop. The food is freshly cooked and the variety is amazing. The staff are friendly and it's a really lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit....or two.

I have visited on several occasions and every time I have been delighted with both the quality of food, drinks and especially their brilliant customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant and I am very confident you’ll be as satisfied as I am with your experience.

Nice but.......pleasant little independent coffee shop/cafe we dropped in because we'd heard good things. However, we didnt realise they were about to close (1.30pm on a saturday? Crazy judging the amount of footfall we witnessed being turned away) we felt rushed as they brushed up around us and stacked chairs. Re the food - ok not hot enough, tea awful, pleasant but nothing special owner asked if everything had been ok, we responded not really but fell on deaf ears Very disappointed - would not return.

We have now visited Malt Mill Coffee and bakery on several occasions, either for breakfast, brunch or just coffee and cake. Each time, the food and service have been excellent.The staff are very friendly and attentive. All in all, first class quality in a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth a visit!

We visited here as we had seen posts on FB and thought we would try it, we were not disappointed it was fabulous!! The quality of food and service was excellent. We both had the full English and presentation was up there as well as the food. I would describe the Malt Mill as Bijou but cosy well worth a visit I would guess it does get busy as we did wait for a table but you could possibly reserve a table? not entirely sure if this is an option but if it is then reserve away 😊 We highly recommend and we will be returning

In a world where prices are rising and quality is decreasing, The Malt Mill bucks the trend. A proper locally sourced, family run quality business which is a Gem of a place, will definitely be back, best breakfast in a long time.

Constructive critism: We use to praise this place and come here religiously every now and again but with our busy lives we come every now and when instead. The last two times we have visited we have felt rushed to leave. We went today to make up for our previous trip feeling a bit rushed thinking it won’t be the same as last time but it was and it was and a bit more different. Don’t get me wrong, the place is nice and the food is good. We had a reservation for sunday morning, and you can only have a reservation if you have food and you get the table for an hour. When we ordered and got what we wanted, 30 minutes into our 1 hour reservation, we could hear a member of staff already say to the next customers “if you wait another 10 minutes, they will be done”. I don’t like the rushed and eagle eyed approach. I know there is only 5 tables in there but still .. There was a time where it was about the people, but of course profit first. It just felt like got your money, eat your food and go.

We really enjoyed the recent burger evening. Good quality food and well cooked. The burgers were thick and juicy and we loved the chorizo and chilli chips. All finished off with homemade key lime pie. A drink was included in the set price and these were really good too. This was a first time visit but we will be back for brunch/lunch and other special event nights
