Great atmosphere good service Fresh beers

Booked a table for 8 over 2 weeks in advance and they then cancelled our table a few days before our event. Cannot be trusted to keep your booking.

Very welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, plentiful beverage choices plus live music

Decent size pub with plenty of seats upstairs. Near the stage the seating is pretty dark during the day with no lights usually on. Good atmosphere and sport on the telly. I found the drinks to be a wee bit on the expensive side but that's a personal view.

Wouldn't say I disliked it but Guinness was poorly poured and food was average. I'd say it's good on other nights.

The only Irish pub in Glasgow worth visiting. (Turned away at Kitty's by a bouncer for absolutely no reason at all, as is common there), a warm welcome here, great music and great beer, proper pub

Amazing nice pub to visit, great variety of drinks and very nice live music (we were there at Tuesday night), Very strict at the door which is good so the pub is crowded but not to much.

Top drawer wee 3 piece band up the stair, working their way through the Irish song book. Great craic

Eat drink and meet nice people, Sampled a free draught beer too , which was great tasting, yeah , I will come back to listen to the great music.

Went in for the first time and it was phenomenal. The staff were so nice especially the lad Scott. Even though it was busy staff were still checking we were having a nice night. Music and atmosphere was amazing. Looking forward to going back

1 A irisches Pub. Versteckt gelegen in einer dunklen Seitenstraße von Glasgow. Aber nicht abschrecken lassen, das Pub ist spitze. Vernünftige Bierpreise und das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Probiert mal die Loaded Fries.

Lugar oculto en un callejón con poca publicidad donde está uno de los murales callejeros. Excelente sitio para tomar unas cervezas, además fue una gran sorpresa la calidad de la comida. El ambiente es muy bueno, tranquilo y con una música tradicional escocesa con toques electrónicos. Fuimos con nuestras camisetas del Atlético de Madrid y no hubo ningún problema. Recomendar la comida del PUB, los nachos una delicia, y en general todo lo que pedimos era de gran calidad gastronómica.

A great little hidden bar which has two floors, and great music. Will definitely visit again 😄👍

A cozy feel with great selection of whisky both Scottish and Irish with live music and sport shown. Upstairs is a fantastic function suite and above that a great roof terrace.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon - too early for the weekend entertainment. I also didn't eat here, but from previous experience, the food is excellent.

Think that it's fair to say that the four of us drinking in Malones were comfortably the oldest in there but we weren't made to feel uncomfortable by the younger crowd. Watched the first half of Ireland thrashing Tonga in the Rugby World Cup before moving on. Not too expensive by Glasgow standards.

Great Irish pub and hot whiskey (hot toddies).

First time in here, my son took me for lunch. The food was excellent and incredibly reasonable. Great bar staff, my son wanted to go up to the beer garden, but I wanted to stay indoors, but I wish I had ventured up their now. I would highly recommend this place

Stopped in looking for dinner + music. For whatever reason they didn't have dinner going that night, but I enjoyed the music, a few Guinness, and some football, then went down the road for dinner. Staff was great, it was pretty empty but I would definitely go back.

Absolutely shocking service from Malones.Running 20mins late as we got a bit lost to be told we can no longer be seated by the bouncers then the manager .there was 3 empty benches outside bar.Their loss, will never be back and will never recommend.

My husband and I went to this bar and where asked to pay £5 each to get in so we left. Absolutely shocking.

Great place to sample traditional Irish food and of course irish hospitality. The upstairs opens up a total inclusive experience with a great range of traditional Irish music .A must for all fans of Irish culture

Had a lovely Irish coffee on a cold and wet day, along with scampi and chips - all was delicious. The bar people were friendly and we spent a lovely afternoon here.

Wir waren am Montag während einer Traditional Session im Malones, als in der Mitte des kleinen und gemütlichen Irish Pubs verschiedene StudentInnen der Glasgower Musikhochschule traditionelle irische und schottische Musik spielten. Wenn auch in Schottland und Irland nicht unüblich, so war diese Session für mich als Besucher eine einmalige und total beeindruckende Erfahrung. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr entspannt, warm und einfach gemütlich.

He ido en varias ocasiones en viajes recientes al centro de la ciudad de Glasgow, al lado de la principal calle Sauchiehall arrastrar, pero aún lo suficientemente cerca para ser práctico. Es así que en un carril sin outlook desde el bar, sin embargo, una de las mejores características es la azotea jardín - excelente! !

Been going here for lunch for many years. The food is fantastic. However, paying for a “large” wine (250ml) when you only get a plastic, 187ml bottle is disappointing.

Malones is a proper Irish pub, always has the sport on and there's always people in it. At night the upstairs is the place to be. The food seems to change a lot from excellent to ok, but the drink and entertainment is always top notch.

Great atmosphere, brilliant live music. Love this place and once there is hard to leave before closing!

Was over last week in Glasgow visited the pub before the football spent the evening there before the match Great beer great service and we all were served a great tasty Irish stew which was good value for money Great looking pub as well We returned after the game had to go upstairs Service was a shocker a full thirty minutes to get served at the bar by a staff that were just putting in there time As an ex publican it seriously lacked bar management upstairs under no circumstances should it take that long to get served Our party of 4 all work in the industry and we were all gobsmacked at the shocking service but moreso the fact it was allowed to happen , Sort it out as it has fab potential to do so much more

Been in Malones a number of times over the years. Great GAA pub and live music is always great. Always had good meal also. And staff are normally 5*. Only issue is its not big and when busy its hard to get served but staff...

Upstairs bar has a big screen tv for all football. Nice spacious area, good staff and choice of a few beers.

Stopped here for a drink. The place was really busy so that was a good sign. But it was just sooooo slow to get served. The toilets were filthy with some aggressive aftershave selling who wanted money for turning the tap on?!? Started mumbling all...

Como estábamos sentados en un bar relajado al lado de malones. Pudimos ver gente bailando con globos fuera en un carril. Decidimos investigar. No nos habíamos dado cuenta de este era un famoso bar irlandés en el centro de Glasgow. Además, qué noche. La música en vivo era absolutamente genial. El ambiente era fuera de este mundo. Todo el mundo estaba cantando y bailando. También sirven los venenos. El más mortífero cóctel aún más delicioso alrededor. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente para salir por la noche.

Tropezamos Malones y la verdad es que primero pensé 'OH, otra temática' pub irlandés, pero al oír la charla de un grupo de muchachos irlandeses salir pensamos dándole un ir y ver cuál es la onda.

Paramos dos veces para comer aquí y la comida era buena en ambas ocasiones. Buen pescado y patatas fritas! El bar puede ser un poco ruidoso, sobre todo cuando Escocia está jugando fútbol!

A better than average Irish bar. Seemed to be popular with the locals as it was very busy. Staff were friendly and efficient and there was a good choice of beers and a nice atmosphere.Well worth a visit

Wir haben zwei Abende dort etwas getrunken, Küche hatte schon zu. Essen gibt es bis 21 Uhr. Die Stimmung ist super, es gibt Livemusik und das Guinness ist perfekt gezapft

Une bonne surprise ! Une carte classique mais du "fait maison" avec des produits manifestement frais. Une bonne adresse pour une pause déjeuner pour couper une journée de shopping à Glasgow. Sans oublier le bon accueil et le cadre "pub" irlandais.

First time visitors but won't last. The food was beautiful. Mushrooms to start the most amazing sauce I've ever had with mushrooms. Crispy bread to go with them, starter was fabulous. Main course of chicken in a leek sauce with mashed potato. I cleared my plate, again the sauce in this was amazing. Good portion sizes and friendly staff

We hebben hier op een vrijdagavond gegeten. Bij aankomst werden we naar boven gedirigeerd omdat we wilden eten. Terwijl er beneden live muziek was met een top sfeer was het boven een beetje doods. Er was veel personeel maar die deden niet zo heel veel, dus erg snel was de service niet. Het eten en het bier waren ok.Als je alleen wat drankjes wilt en dus beneden terecht kunt is het hier prima, maar onze ervaring op de bovenverdieping was heel wat minder goed.

Called in for a quick lunch as shopping in Glasgow. (Bank Holiday Monday). We were the only people in the pub except for staff, the place was dirty, toilets a mess, and tables sticky. There was no atmosphere, sky sports on the large TV's and chart music on the sound system. We though this was an Irish pub so at least expected Irish music !!My husband ordered a quick drink and we left.

Many is a time I have been in a fast food outlet in Hope Street seeing a sign for an Irish bar down the lane opposite so last Saturday evening out of curiosity decided to venture and have a look. The place was packed standing room only. Got myself a soft drink and a bag of Tayto crisps (salt & vinegar). The young girl behind the bar was very friendly. It is a real vibrant friendly place. Had a browse of the Irish Post newspaper I spotted. Would highly recommend here. On my way out there was a big queue of green shirts (Celtic supporters) outside waiting to get in. Visited this bar to see the hurling. Fantastic atmosphere. Great music. Plenty of craic. Didn't try the food but was pleased to see they serve breakfast from 11am as the food in our hotel was disappointing. Would definitely visit here again.

We called in on a Saturday night, we were lucky enough to get seats as the pub was full.The Irish two piece band was free to listen to, no tickets were required.

Always busy and lively on a Saturday night. Bar staff and door staff are always friendly and its never too long to wait to get a drink even when the bars really busy. Love this place!

Enjoyed the celebrations here over St. Patrick's weekend. We arrived early so missed the large queue's to get into the pub. The staff are so friendly and really allowed us to enjoy ourselves.

Was slightly bemused by the Republican band and chants for long gone paramilitary groups...having gotten passed this there is a good atmosphere with a very friendly bunch of staff - albeit after having walked through a physical fight between a young girl and a bouncer on the way in! We enjoyed our evening and it is by far the nicest in the area.

We stopped in here for a quick lunch and brew and it was very good. There were 4 of us who each had a different dish and they were all great. Recommend stopping in here for a brew and some good eats.

Went to see Paul Larkin's Anyone But Celtic film Friday 13th Jan in the hall/bar upstairs...fantastic venue,reasonable drink price and top class live band playing after the film.filled up with fans over for the rugby the next day

Pub offers live sports, good food, good music and excellent wait staff! Went above and beyond expectations and printed off stadium tour information for me, completely out of the blue after our chat, awsome touch!! what more could you ask for? A MUST GO TO PUB.

Stopped to get out of the rain, my husband and I had a beer and chips. It wasn't anything to right home about but the prices were fair and servers were kind. Cool atmosphere
