Always happy with our food, the taste, portions and value for money is amazing!

Read the reviews and gave it a try. The food was as everyone said. Fresh veg. Good amount of meat. Tofu was also very good. Dumplins and spring rolls well cooked not greasy. Very happy and amazing food. Highly recommend will defo order again

I usually go to this place to collect food on lazy nights and let me tell you that their food is amazing. The Gang Massamun I had the other day made my day. It is a must take away restaurant list of York!

Ordered a Red Curry and a Chicken Pad Thai. The Red Curry was fine, but the Chicken Pad Thai was possibly the worst we've ever had. The chicken was previously cooked, chilled, and then reheated. It was tough and borderline inedible. After a few bites, we agreed that we felt the same and disposed of it. The noodles were quite dry too, actually feeling like a reheated portion that had been previously left out.

The food is of high quality, authentic Thai flavor, the staff is polite, the store is comfortable, the food is hygienic and clean, the canned drinks are cheap, it would be better if authentic Thai spices could be introduced into the cuisine

Best Thai I have eaten in ages! My friend and loved it, I had Pad Thai, he the Green Curry and what great choices they were. Well prepared with great fresh vegetables and tasted as good as you can outside of Thailand itself. My friend had just returned from a yoga retreat there and was amazed at the quality for the UK! Lovely friendly staff, even the chef wished us goodbye when we left, such a different experience than the place we tried next door a few days before but more on that later!

Ordered the pork belly Pad See Ew, duck rolls and spring rolls and it was absolutely delicious. Very good value for money, lots of big chunks of pork belly! The food arrived early, before the recommended delivery time and came piping hot. The driver was very friendly. Overall 10/10 takeaway experience! Definitely recommend and will be ordering from here again!

Great place to drop in for Thai food. It’s so good and fairly priced. The spicy noodles with pork were sooo good! And had whole parts of duck falling out the spring rolls. Fast service and the lady serving us was super friendly. Would recommend for eating in or takeaway. Everything only came to £41 for all this food and we walked out stuffed!!

Staying on Gillygate in York meant a tale of two takeaways this year. First this one, a lovely little Thai place with a great menu, warm and friendly staff and nice and cosy eating area. Food was flavorful and hearty and left us all very happy to have eaten there. Try the noodles, beautiful.

Kind people and creative food would definitely have again, definitely represented food in Thailand very well!

Delicious Thai Green Curry & Dumplings!

Super tasty, as always! Rice portions seem to have gotten smaller and would be easier if the tails were removed from the prawns.

We ordered at 19.00 and the food arrived a full hour over eta at 20.50

Sadly all dishes Tasteless, beef chewy in both stir fry dish & pad thai was stodgy

We ordered delivery it arrived quickly even though it’s Christmas weekend. Hot and delicious we had the green curry pad Thai and spring rolls. Will definitely be ordering again.

Food that arrives isn’t as advertised

This was the best Vegetable and Tofu Penang Curry we have tried in York. It’s our favourite dish but obviously varies greatly between restaurants and chefs. The vegetables were fresh… aubergine, courgette, green beans, carrot, lovely mushrooms, tofu marinaded and generous portion. Jasmine rice included in Curry price. Delicious! 😋 Mali Thai 😋 It was peak time on a Weekend but the delivery was within the predicted timescale, with a smile, despite the weather 👍🏼

Such a wonderful meal. This place was near our accommodation so we wanted to try it and I am glad we did. Lovely, helpful owners and staff, and superb Thai food. Curries and noodle dishes made with fresh and quality meant and vegetables put together with care. Great value as well. Will come back here when next in York on business!

Absolutely beautiful! Took a gamble on ordering here as new customers. We’re in Acomb and delivery was fast (early) and the food (Pad Thai,Red curry, Duck rolls) really really good! Will be ordering again for sure!

This was our second visit to Mali, and it didn’t disappoint, in fact it was amazing again. We chose to eat in both on both visits, and the staff were wonderful, and very proud of their food, and rightly so! The food is amazing, the best Thai food I have ever eaten! I cannot recommend Mali enough, 5 ⭐️ isn’t giving it enough credit

Felt like I’d stepped back into Thailand, wonderful food. Accommodated special request I added to the note. Would have been helpful to understand rice came with the stir fry dishes as this wasn’t clear. Definitely recommend and will be using again.

great spring rolls and sides. Pad Sie Ew was tasteless apart from a tang of chemicals. Couldn't eat it, which was a shame as it was all hot and good portions

These days everything is so expensive that having a takeaway is a rare treat. And we've had a few disappointing, over-priced ones this year. Mali Thai is an exception. We had our occasional takeaway this afternoon, and it was sensational. We had spare ribs, chicken wings (garlic and spicy), dim sum and tom kha soup. Everything was freshly cooked, well flavoured and completely delicious. I like the 'chef-ey' touches such as the bed of finely sliced stir-fried veg under the ribs and wings. Thank You Mali Thai - you've made our bellies happy yet again!

Good food, but expensive. We would prefer if the rice wasn't included in the meal, so we could choose whether we want that extra cost. If it has to be included it would be nice if it was better quality.

Good Thai food and service, excellent price for a quick bite to eat in York.

No shrimp available for Pad Thai when we went there. Beef was really tough and chewy…Not tender at all. Roasted duck was not quite fresh. Polite and quick service :) But generally not recommended because of the poor food quality :(

Still best Thai takeaway in York as far as I am concerned, can't fault the starters and mains are as good as ever, been using this outlet since lockdown times, never disappointed, altho Fri/Sat evening delivery times can sometimes be a bit erratic given demand and traffic levels.

Food was piping hot when it was delivered and it was absolutely beautiful; the vegetable dumplings are so good. Definitely will come back here.
