Barnecutts is a great bakery, with a host of friendly efficient local staff, providing breads, buns and a really good deli counter to both locals, holiday makers and the building trade (at full throttle).

tr2 5pxAbsolutely wonderful visit. The cream tea was the best I think I’ve ever had. Warm scones, huge pot of cream and delicious jam, must be homemade. The tea was piping hot and came with an additional tea bag should you like it strong.

The Pattern Hall Charlestown RoadGreat little cafe (presumably a Longstore offshoot, as it’s attached). A small number of tables inside and more outside. Nice seaside blue and white vibe. We had tea, cappuccino and two sourdough toasties with roasted mushrooms, tomatoes, Emmental cheese and truffle mayo - with a refreshing but hot chilli and carrot salad in the side. £13 per head paid for very good quality. Food and drink was great and service fast and friendly. Other customers had young children and dog with them. Would recommend for sure.
