Excellent Malaysian street food at a reasonable price. Recommend the Char Kwey Teow & Nasi Lemak. Edit: I understand the canteen has sadly closed now. They occasionally have food during fundraising events.

Really nice authentic Malaysian restaurant serving authentic Malay food. Came for the kerabu that is served every Sunday and also the Mee Rebus special. Very delicious indeed and also spicy. Nice selection of dessert kuih to select from.

Only 5 stars Google? Malaysian Canteen deserves at least 2 more stars than that! Close your eyes and you could easily forget you're in London and back in the culinary paradise that is Malaysia, I recommend the Sambal Catfish, Nasi Lemak, Roti Channai for your first visit, ask the friendly staff for their advise on what goes well together. Tapow some freshly made Kuih deserts and a Curry Puff for later on, totally Sedap!!

Great tasty Malaysian cuisine with a homely atmosphere. Only Malaysians allowed unless you come as a guest with one. We had some nasi campur, nasi lemak and some cakes with teh tarik. All sumptious and well recommended

I went here two Sundays ago and I was allowed to go in and nobody asked me if I am a Malaysian. They had good safety protocols. I was overwhelmed by the food selections for Nasi Campur so I enquired and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. I had Nasi Campur with 3 dishes: squid red curry, chicken curry and aubergine. These were sublime recommendations washed down with Teh Tahrik. I had some take away of glutinous rice sweets, Nasi Kerabu and Roti Canai. My overall experience was so excellent with staff being so friendly, showing ultimate Malaysian hospitality, that I started raving about this little gem of Malay food to friends to try. However I came back this Sunday with a friend and we were turned away because the canteen was only for Malaysians and we should be accompanied by Malaysians. Since I was raving about it the week before, we were really looking forward to having a Malaysian feast. The lady behind behind the desk was polite but I hope they make it clear here or put a sign on the door about this policy. It was simply embarrassing. I would not want this to happen to other non Malaysians who would try to venture here and experience the same embarrassment. I will not lower my rating fo this place despite this recent incident. I maintain their food is really good and the hospitality by the canteen staff is very heartwarming. This alone Malaysians should be proud of.

Excellent food, good portions and value for money. Friendly and helpful service. Daughter to me there for Father's Day Lunch and I was very happy with the food we had and bought a lot of yummy Malaysian cakes which was just exquisite. Will go there again soon.

Authentic home made malaysian food. Well price and highly recommended!

Reasonable price and its very delicious, this nasi lemak, i chose ayam goreng and telur goreng cost me about £5.60, nasi goreng cina cost you about £3, nasi lemak ayam (with telur rebus) cost you around £4.5, if you want teh tarik i think u have pay extra £1.. Malaysians who live abroad should try this.. We fly to london and stay in malaysia hall, so we got a chance to try malaysian cuisine here.. And we miss malaysian cuisine so so much..

Malaysian food here..a bit disappointed with the food 😕.. overpriced not very tasty.. should head to somewhere else if craving for msian food..the quality has deteriorated unfortunately..toilet also has no tissue..

Easily the cheapest place to get halal Malay food in London (always a bonus for homesick and/or cost-conscious Malaysians) with friendly service from Kak Ani & co. My favourite here is the nasi ayam and mee goreng. And speaking as one half Mandailing myself, Kak Ani’s rendang daging is excellent. If you have a hankering for satay, you'd also be in for a treat.

Visited Malaysia Hall today to buy seri muka, kuih ketayap and curry puff. Wasn't what I expected. Nothing like the photos on the website! I think I will cook them myself.

Been here lebih kurang 3 years ago. Nov 2018. Makanan banyak pilihan & semua nampak sodappp. Rasa takde beza ngan kat Malaysia, jiwa pun tenang dapat makan makanan tanah air. Tapi 4 stars je lah sebab tetibe je staff sana pandang I lain macam as if I ade buat salah. Tak baik buat customer macam tu tau. Btw, I confirm akan datang makan lagi lain kali after this pandemic gone sebab I ade kat KL now. Missing London so much.

Authentic Malaysian cooking at reasonable prices. Generous portion of lamb curry for £5 and the sauce that accompanied the ayam penyet was out of this world. Extremely spicy and tasty.. very popular even at 5 pm on a Saturday.

Delicious food, very very authentic malaysian food served here. kuih melayu (traditional cakes) is a must try...ask for seri muka and bingka ubi. the mi rebus was quite good, delicious roti canai and the sate, oooh try the sate...very rich in flavour. also, try the nasi kerabu. theres also a section reserved for prayers. alhamdulillah.

I was in UK for 20 days & i missed malay food so i went to Malaysia hall canteen, varieties of malaysian food (nasik lauk pauk, char keow teow, char behoon etc) & drinks (teh tarik kopi tarik, sirap bandung, even kiuh muih pon hado.) They are new caterer this time & done a good job, food very tasty 😋

This place makes you feel like home! Their mi rebus is my favourite - at £5.50 per bowl it’s such a bargain! I love their teh tarik and nasi lemak too. Their traditional kuih and sweet delicacies are amazing - almost every single of them will make u smile because they’re genuinely so good! It’s unfortunate that their don’t offer card payments but I hope they will do this soon due to covid.

The place is a short walk from Bayswater tube station. Good food Malaysian at a very reasonable price, with the finest Malaysian hospitality! Great service, will definitely visit again! We had nasi campur, nasi lemak and roti canai. The roti canai and dhal with a dash of sambal bilis was particularly good. They had an array of kuehs - so we had some takeaway. Air bandung is a must try!

Everything I ate was delicious. And this is not coming from a Malaysian who is missing his Malaysian chow which is likely to be biased. I had a meeting here, so might as well eat. The nasi ayam, nasi lemak and assortment of their kuih are really delicious and of high quality. Also had their ikan jacket kembong, which is really top notch. I'm impressed by the skills of the chef. If they were in Malaysia peoper, they would hold their ground and still be a top notch place. Very rarely have I been a restaurant in Malaysia where they can nail so many of their dishes excellently. Therefore, for those craving for Malaysian food, you don't need to travel back no more. This aunty brought it all the way to the heart of London.

This place is a rare catch. Reasonably cheap for the typical mixed rice Malaysians would enjoy, complemented with kuih and a cup of teh tarik. The photo I have taken might not seem as appealing, but trust me, no Malaysian being away from home can resist this simple plate of mixed rice.

Debes ser malayo o estar acompañado por uno para entrar, así que si tienes un amigo de Malasia, ¡pídele que te lleve! We had our breakfast, lunch and most of our dinner here for 5 days straight when we visit london in February. Food tastes very good. Their roti canai is so fluffy and crunchy, and taste better than some restaurants back in Malaysia. The ladies manning the counter during day time is friendly and really helpful.

Authentic Malaysian food at great value!

This is a great place to get Malay food, if you want food that tastes authentically Malay then come here! Unfortunately they have this rule where if you aren't Malaysian you are not allowed in, which has made me rate this place lower.

Seem like everyone's know this little gem place cuz sometime crowed of people when you come 😁 but I like the food and I enjoyed it, enough said. 😉

The new rule allows only Malaysians to get in to the restaurant, so if you aren't one like me and my wife and crave for some good Malaysian, the nearest one is 'Tudkin Flavours of Malaysia'.

Al otro lado de la calle de mi hotel, el Queens Park Hotel, en el sótano del Consulado de Malasia, se encuentra este pequeño restaurante que sirve estilo cafetería o un pequeño menú especial. Pedí, desde el menú de especialidades, pollo satay (la imagen que habían publicado parecía realmente buena y era) que eran 5 palitos de kebabs servidos con una salsa picante de maní y una pequeña ensalada de pepino y cebolla. ¡DELICIOSO! ! ! y solo 6 BP. Por lo tanto, si su juego es comida rápida y barata, ¡NO SE LO PIERDA! Sin embargo, fue un poco difícil encontrar la entrada. La puerta de entrada está en la puerta # 34. Subes las escaleras y tocas el timbre y te dejarán entrar. Caminé de un lado a otro frente al # 30 - # 34 varias veces buscando un letrero grande que no estaba allí, así que solo busca el # 34 y ve a esa puerta que sube las escaleras desde la calle.

¡Precios baratos especialmente para una cantina en Londres! La comida sabe a casa sin duda y estoy muy satisfecho. La jefa y su personal fueron educados y encantadores. Espero que la cantimplora se expanda para acomodar más área de asientos ya que es bastante pequeña en este momento. Definitivamente voy a llevar un tupperware para llevar ('tapao') algo de comida a casa. Y sí, se le permite traer un amigo no malasio. Mi Kopi O tenía 1. 3 y Nasi Ayam tenía 6. 5)

Food is over price 2 person nasi campur costing £30.00 erm not sure how they calculate but lazy to argue so just paid. Prefer other Malaysian restaurants outside.

Firstly its great that they have this place! Not only malaysians can go there to eat, other muslims from various countries can proceed there to have asian food served. The place is huge with toilets and plenty of seats. Parking is just outside the building along the road. But you must hurry as there is alot of ppl and those favourite dishes will finish fast.

Please don't go at night time..

If you need some "nasi campur" Malaysian Style / home cooked food Malaysian Style do come here. Worth every penny. Please is cosy. and please make sure you come early because it can be crowded during peak hour i.e. lunch time and dinner. Staff here are also friendly and they have all the facilities i.e. toilet, and musolla / prayer room. Please note that if you are non-Malaysian - please ensure you have Malaysian accompanying you.
