Siguiendo una recomendación, decidí probar este lugar. Aunque está a unas 10 millas de donde vivo, el viaje valió la pena. Esta es una pequeña cafetería que está muy enfocada en la comunidad. El personal era amable y acogedor, pedí un sándwich de tocino y un café "americano". El sándwich de tocino estaba delicioso y estaba hecho para acompañar su café. El café es el mejor que he probado en los alrededores de Southampton, algunas de las cafeterías más grandes podrían aprender mucho de aquí. Ahora es mi lugar para ir cuando quiero tratarme.

Hemos estado viniendo aquí desde que abrió. La comida, los pasteles y el café son fabulosos. Sándwiches de tocino: delicioso, rico en café y pasteles sabrosos. Es bastante pequeño pero tiene un ambiente muy agradable y acogedor sin ser demasiado "clicky local". Leí otra crítica que decía que estaba un poco cansado. En realidad, es un poco, un abeto rápido no estaría mal. Sin embargo, aparte de eso, vale la pena visitar las bebidas y la comida.

Un lugar muy agradable que sirve bien, bien y café.Pero el lugar real no está muy limpio. Cojines sucios, que necesitan lavarse. Tarjetas de menú enrolladas y manchadas de comida. Zócalos, mesa y sillas que necesitan un lavado realmente bueno.El lugar tiene mucho potencial, es una lástima que estas cosas incluso se den cuenta.

Celebramos a mi hija Baby Shower allí el domingo y fue simplemente perfecto. La decoración era hermosa y la comida, ¡el cielo en platos! ! Sandwiches de dedo: tocino Brie y chutney de cebolla, Red Leicester y chile chili con aguacate, por nombrar algunos que estaban deliciosos. Como local, solo había entrado aquí anteriormente para recoger un pastel o pastel extraño (delicioso). Sin embargo, recientemente fue con amigos para ponerse al día y no me decepcionó. Pequeño pero encantador. El personal es amable y tiene un ambiente cálido y acogedor. ¡La comida y la bebida son deliciosas y mi único deseo es que los pasteles recién hechos no se hayan vendido antes de que yo llegara allí! ! El extremo de Shirley de Southampton no está corto de cafeterías, pero si te gusta un café decente y de buena relación calidad-precio, este es el lugar perfecto. Además de estar lejos del caos de Shirley High Street, tiene una excelente comida y bebida y también tiene varias actividades artesanales, no he hecho nada por mi cuenta, pero se ven divertidas. Asientos fuera y dentro y personal muy amable. Recomendado.

Lovely little spot. Beautiful coffee with plant milk options. Amazing cakes from their bakery down the road. Very welcoming to me and my little dog - tables and chairs outside but also welcome inside. Friendly staff. Good quality, responsibly sourced food and drink.

Met a friend for lunch today. Lovely place with friendly staff. Their club sandwich was great and the chocolate brownie delicious. Pop in, you won’t be disappointed

I do occasionally drop in here. Subdued music, stuff for the kids and a lovely feel for the place.

Don’t let the front of this randomly located little place put you off. Inside it’s lovely with a nice upcycled feel, funky lights and although a little cold in temperature, it has a cosy feel with great music playing.

On this visit tried the house club sandwich. If Carlsberg did a club sandwich it would be this one. Service very good and family friendly atmosphere.

We pop in here regularly on a Saturday morning for a quick coffee and some breakfast. Lovely little place, squeezed into Shirley. If a fan of good Monmouth coffee and yummy food - go here! Lovely family vibe, avocado on toast is lush, as are the porridge bowls. Great flat whites. Haven't done any of the 'making' aspect yet - but would love to do something next time we are in! Always busy - which is a great sign.

The food, coffee and atmosphere is consistently great here - they have a great choice of sandwiches (bacon and brie is amazing), salads and breakfasts and the coffee is so good.

Absolutely love Make & Brew. Amazing sandwiches, especially the BRAT! Great choice of good for smalls, the Breakfast Platter being a firm favourite. Lots of different bits to decoupage too. Staff are the best!

Great coffee and the mozzarella and sundried tomato sandwich was lovely. Good service and has seats outside if it's nice weather. ....lucky to have it so close to me.

One of my favourite independent cafes! Always more than happy to make me up a sandwich that's not on the menu and the chocolate cake, that I had today, was melt in the mouth amazing! Proper Teapigs Earl Grey too, all served up by cheerful staff - Spot on!

Really nice atmosphere, a gem in the outskirts of Shirley. Usually a few children around (so bring noise-cancelling headphones if you're working!) but the cafe has such a nice vibe. Been here 4-5 times and my experience has always been positive. Try the custard doughnuts (YUM).

Took my grandchildren here for breakfast... been here before but again this lovely little place impressed me ... we all had tea/coffee and bacon rolls and again the place delivered on quality and well priced for what we got. A busy & thriving little cafe it's a must if you are in the area.

How lucky are we to have such a lovely local, independent coffee shop on our doorstep? Service with a smile, friendly banter, gorgeous cake and delicious coffee.

When staying with my son and family I was happy to find a coffee shop within a short walk from their home. The coffee is perfect and the workers are very friendly and easy to please their customers. Even though all I have had is coffee, the rest of the fare looks very good and is displayed in an appetizing manner. I doubt if I will get through my 3 week stay without sampling some of those tasty looking treats. This establishment is very family friendly with some toys available for the kids. I will definitely be a regular when I am in town!

Lovely artisan bakery/cafe. Very friendly staff. Cakes, coffees and sandwiches were delicious. Would definitely recommend. Look forward to visiting again.

Lovely local cafe. Friendly staff. Can get busy on a Saturday morning. Be warned the avocado on toast has a hidden kick! Lovely selection of cakes. Keep meaning to try out the arts and crafts.

Came here with a group of colleagues for a leaving lunch. Fantastic little cafe. Great selection of teas and coffees, amazing (and really reasonably priced) sandwiches and salads for lunch and then the BEST cakes afterwards!

Love this place! So unusual to find a local, independent cafe that serves really good quality food and coffee. The mozzarella, pesto and sundried tomato sandwich is my favourite, as are the overnight oats! The owner is super friendly and is always willing to go the extra mile. Great for a family party/hen do/craft party. Love the decoupage craft addition!
