Fue una buena cena, pero a pesar de que la mayoría de los criterios eran buenos, el tamaño de la porción era extremadamente pequeño y, en consecuencia, hizo que la comida tuviera una buena relación calidad-precio. Un poco fuera de lo común, por lo que no había notado previamente este lugar. Es un hotel con un bar que sirve un barril (en mi visita). El bar está limpio y ha sido renovado recientemente, pero tiene un ambiente de los años setenta. De alguna manera funciona dentro de un edificio antiguo. Hay una atractiva zona de jardín de cerveza. Es un buen lugar, aunque se siente más como el lobby de un hotel que como un pub. Comida solo por la noche. Un buen lugar si eres local y no quieres caminar más lejos para un pub adecuado, pero no es un lugar que de lo contrario recomendaría que valga la pena buscar. He dejado una reseña para este lugar, pero cuando terminé noté que tiene dos listados. Esta bajo el nombre de The Blue Keys Bar & Restaurant, y otra bajo el nombre de The Blue Keys Hotel, Bar & Restaurant.    Llegó después de un ascenso temprano y 6 horas en coche solo para estar demasiado seguro y no abierto. restaurante más cercano a 10 minutos. demasiado cansado, así que tuve que conformarme con una bolsa de patatas fritas. casi nada de sueño. La habitación era hermosa, pero como la puerta no encajaba, escuché cada sonido del bar y la recepción. escuché a alguien venir temprano en la mañana y comenzar a contar dinero y usar hasta! El desayuno era realmente agradable, ¡una pena que estaba demasiado cansado para disfrutarlo! ¡el establecimiento debe caber en una puerta insonorizada!

Mi esposo y yo cenamos en el Blue Keys el año pasado mientras estábamos en Southampton y tuvimos algunas comidas muy sabrosas, así que pensamos que estábamos en Southampton de nuevo que volveríamos. I booked the room via booking.com only day before yesterday for a stay tomorrow evening for myself and my fiance, yesterday the hotel take full payment for the room despite when booking me being told that the payment would not be taken until day of visit. Today I receive news my mother has had to go to the hospital with a suspected blood clot. Obviously this is terrible news and we decide we cannot make the trip from Staffordshire to Southampton for the stay. As we obviously we need to be near by incase things get worse. I think, oh no I should let the hotel know ASAP so at least they may still fill the booking, hoping they would understand and issue a refund. I spoke to two different individuals, both young and in equipped with dealing with this type of circumstance, and they rigidly state that there's a 48 hour cancellation period, which is why they took full payment. I explained the situation and they simply refused point blank to refund, not even as a gesture of good will to refund say half of the booking. We had every intention of visiting the hotel and restaurant and having a lovely evening. I cannot believe what a un sympathetic and un empathetic response they had. No concern or anything. Completely out me off ever going there. I can't believe in this day and age, that things like this don't happen everyday, so when they do, you hope there is some sort of understanding to the situation. But no, would not budge. So I'd be careful booking this hotel, if you do so via booking. Com because they seem very quick to take the money, but not so eager to be helpful in assisting positively a customer who is genuinely unable to make the trip tomorrow.

Nos detuvimos para cenar y disfrutamos de una comida muy agradable en un entorno confortable, con un personal atento y precios justos.Tenía el Confit of Duck que sabía excelente, y los habría marcado excelentes, de no haber sido por el tamaño de la porción de las verduras que lo acompañaban, que pensé que estaban en el lado pobre de la media.Sin embargo, en general todos tuvimos muy buenas comidas, y no dudaría en recomendar a otros.

Conveniente ubicación para el Teatro Mayflower, a 15 minutos a pie, las habitaciones eran muy bonitas y cómodas, muy limpias y ordenadas, lo único negativo era que la cama era demasiado blanda para nosotros, un problema menor. La pieza de resistencia fue el desayuno todo incluido con un desayuno inglés completo más carnes frías y quesos, croisants, tostadas de café, cereales, yogur, jugos, etc. Muy recomendable.

La única razón por la que reservamos este lugar para nuestra comida de Navidad fue que hablamos con Jackie Whyte del restaurante que nos aseguró que tienen pan sin gluten disponible y que pueden hacer una comida sin gluten.NO, NO LO HACEN Y NO PUEDEN!Ellos sabían que teníamos una alergia sin gluten en la mesa, sacamos pan normal y nada más. Les pregunté si tenían pan sin gluten y dijeron que no, pero ¿tienen tostadas sin gluten? ¿QUÉ?Así que no hay pan, pero lo peor de todo es que trajeron una cena de pavo sin gluten. Excepto que era exactamente igual a la de todos los demás. Lograron despertar las esperanzas de mi esposa y luego destruirlas por completo. Budín de Yorkshire, lleno de trigo - no hay reemplazo. El hotel acordó reducir el pago por 89 debido a malentendidos, pero al recibir el extracto de la tarjeta de crédito, ¡NO han cumplido con su compromiso y nos han cobrado 99! Nos ocuparemos de esto en el hotel y definitivamente no lo recomendaremos en Tripadvisor; consulte nuestra otra reseña. Nunca tuve una experiencia como esta.

Hotel was super clean ,friendly welcoming staff nothing was a bother, rooms were beautifully decorated. We had dinner and breakfast in the dinning room which was a very tasty, with a lot of options for breakfast. free parking in front court yard.

We were staying at the hotel after a long flight from the US and had planned to eat dinner here on our first night. The food was hot, beautifully presented, and delicious. We would eat here again.

Last year (August 2017) my wife daughter and myself stayed overnight whilst on route to our cruise at Southampton.

The hotel were very helpful in rearranging a complicated expedia booking that we needed to amend - expedia were far less helpful. We arrived on Saturday morning to check in before our room was ready, no problem took our details & overnight bag to place into our room. We left with keys to the room and our car safely parked up. The hotel was very welcoming with a great desk/bar host who made sure we knew the drill on getting back in late at night, where our room was located and how to get the best from breakfast the following morning. It was hot in our room due to the 31c temps that day but there was a nice big fan provided which saved us! Breakfast was a lovely fresh selection of products, meat, pastries, cheeses and fruit. Cereal was available but we didn't fancy it - good selection though. The coffee and juice provided was very nice too. Our reception host was very very friendly and made us feel so welcome and appreciated as guests, we felt that nothing was too much trouble. He did mention retiring next week, so good luck with that! We would definitely stay again and would rate this hotel above any chains locally like travel lodge or premier. So much less stressful here. Well done on getting it so right!!!

Confit duck at the Blue Keys was magnificent, prepared by a young Chef that shows ability way above his age

I pulled up outside and thought oh no but as soon as I walked in the staff were so friendly and the bar was very clean but the rooms are out of this world, forget the big hotels stay here it’s great and the food well take a look at the pictures lamb-shank pie is to die for mmmmmm

Food and drink was excellent. Inn personnel were helpful and courteous. Very clean and served properly.

I attended a wedding at the Blue Keys. A small Hotel with fantastic staff who are very attentive. The rooms were very clean and a good size. Food for the wedding was great and the breakfast was superb. I would have no problem in recommending the venue. James has built a great little business and has a great team. Welldone to all the staff you all went above and beyond to make it a fantastic stay.

We hired the blue keys hotel for our wedding reception and were thoroughly delighted with the service that was provided. From meeting James beforehand to interactions with the staff on the day, we could not have asked for a more accommodating and professional team - they even went out of their way to find "Mrs & Mrs" balloons! Food on the day was complimented by all and we particularly appreciated the transparent approach to budgeting. We did not stay in the hotel, but family reported that the rooms were clean, quiet and spacious; further the breakfast was great. We would like to thank the staff again and would absolutely recommend the blue keys for a personal, family-orientated and friendly affair!

We only stayed one night in this lovely place, having a family reunion. Our room faced the front and was spacious, spotlessly clean and a really comfy bed. At night there was hardly any road noise after about 10.30 pm. Tanya & Colin very friendly and helped us upstairs with suitcases. Food was excellent, piping hot and nicely cooked. Little enclosed garden for outside dining or drinking on warmer nights. No faults, would return.

Rooms are lovely cleans, they have literally thought of everything. From a selection of hotels drinks, an abundance of towels to ear buds and cotton balls. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotels looks small from outside but if huge. The food options are vast and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again and recommended

Beautifully maintained older hotel with the most knowledgeable and helpful staff (Colin was unbelievably resourceful) Delicious full breakfast & dinner also available in dining room. Rustic bar area and lounge room to hold special events, birthdays, retirements, anniversaries etc. complete with Baby Grand piano and band area. Private outside sitting area Large modern bathroom with hot showers. Free wifi , television, phones. Short taxi ride to cruise terminal. Quiet location.. Will definitely stay here again

My Wife booked the function room for my surprise 50th Birthday party, the room itself is quite large and has outside seating available too, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the food which had been ordered was mini hot dogs, bacon baps and cones of chips, they were all very nice and of good quality, I would have no hesitation in recommending the venue, and as my Wife still owes me a meal, we will be returning for this!!

Food good with imaginative menu, portions reasonable size. Did not have to wait for food to arrive. Helpful staff in a clean environment

If you are ever in Southampton need an overnight place to stay prior to a flight out or even a cruise this is the place. The staff is friendly and helpful, they provide an excellent breakfast for every taste. They have a pub, and a large outdoor patio to accommodate you. The restaurant provides a varied menu and decent portions. I will return the next time I'm in Southampton.

We stayed at this lovely hotel and decided to try the restaurant as the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. What a great choice. Dinner of fish and chips was excellent and the following morning, breakfast was wonderful. When staying here, do yourself a favor and dine in. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed here twice last year and again this year. Great overnight stopover before embarking on our cruise ships.

The restaurant is spotless, staff so attentive and makes you feel very special. Recommending the fish,chunky chips and peas.So delicious.

I stayed one1 evening in a single room. A good place to stay before a cruise. Room was small but clean and functional. Excellent water pressure in the shower, helpful staff and a nice bar

Breakfast was cooked to order lots of choice,tasty and filling.we also had an evening meal it was absolutely first class.

Varied menu and blackboard specials, reasonable prices. Jaffa desert very yummy. Restaurant is part the of hotel with nice outdoor area for summer.

I wanted an English experience and it was more than that. Beautiful decor in the common rooms and great service by all. Fish and chips the first night was awesome. Breakfast is so good with many choices. We ate there most nights and the meals were very good. Collin took care of us when we popped in unexpectedly to return something. I highly recommend the Blue Keys. We did get a taste of GB in hot weather though. Just remember that AC is a rare thing even in stores.

Dinner was very good. Visiting on the bank holiday Monday, I was able to have a beautiful chicken penne dinner just before the restaurant closed. My meal was hot, tasty and well presented. Sitting in the pub, with a glass of wine and the pleasant conversation of a local couple, sitting at the next table, made this a welcoming travellers place.

Stayed overnight before our son's graduation at Southampton University. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived a little late for our evening meal booking due to traffic on M25 and they were very understanding, suggesting we unwind in our room before eating. The meal with superb and all the staff very friendly. Our room was comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee. Would loved to have stayed longer had we had the time to do so. They also allowed us to leave our cars at the hotel while we attended the graduation to avoid us looking for parking near the university.

We stayed in this hotel for one night before boarding our cruise. If you like boutique hotels this is a good one. The ensuite rooms are compact, clean and modern. We ate 3 meals in cluding the complimentary breakfast in the hotel restaurant and found the food to be well presented and delicious. There is a quaint patio garden. The bar/lounge was a nice quiet place to unwind after our overseas flight. The owners are most accomodating and welcoming. Be aware that this is a converted home and as such has no elevator. The first floor requires climbing a flight of stairs.

Nice food and promptly delivered. Good choice on the menu and some different dessert choices given which was good.

Stayed at the Blue Keys for a couple days on out trip to England. The atmosphere was warm and wonderful. Service was amazing. Food was well presented. No complaints

This small restaurant located inside a small hotel, has surprisingly good food and an excellent selection. Price is very reasonable.

I had evening meal in the restaurant, good menu normal food plus specials, servcie very good. Nice choice of wine a bit old fashioned on puddings
