Makatcha in Camden

Really enjoyed lunch today the food was exceptionally good. The portion size was so large I had to take it away. The chef was so friendly and came o we to check we were happy with the food. Love the fact it’s halal. I had the Mee Goreng which I highly recommend.

Went to Kerb West India Quay today to quickly grab lunch. There were 3 customers in line and waited almost 20 mins to be served a pre cooked curry. No acknowledgement or 'sorry for keeping you waiting'. When the £10 curry arrives, the small box is half full, 4 pieces of vegetables. After a ridiculous wait while watching three people behind the counter, one even checking her phone instead of serving. I feel sorry for the other Kerb sellers because when it's a long walk from most of the offices and then you get bad service like this, it puts you off going back to try others.

We visited Makatcha Bang Bang (Colindale) for the first time today. Awesome vegan rendang and the burnt broccoli is to die for. Decent portions for a total of £14. Recommended.

We live in North London and come to Kerb regularly. Eat often from this stall in Kerb.Did you think we were tourists or were you giving less than half portions for £8 to everyone and not accepting the Camden card either. Really poor behaviour. Not sure why you felt the need to do that? A real let down.

I went to the pop up stall at BangBang food hall in Colindale. Great beef Rendang - enak sekali. Having lived in Indonesia over 20 years ago itwas great to get a reminder of the flavours. Really nice family too.

The Vegan Rendang will blow you away, even meat lovers. It is simply moreish, and the rendang flavour is spot on. The lady who served me was very friendly too. Highly recommended.

インドネシアンカレーのストール。チキンとビーフどちらも食べましたが、ココナッツがきいてて美味しかった。スパイスとココナッ ツが絡んで絶妙な味、スパイシー苦手なのでよかったです。長時間煮込んでるのか、お肉がホロホロ柔らかくて美味しかった。

I rarely do anything spur of the minute but was on London's Southbank and wanted to grab something quickly and chanced upon the Southbank Centre Food Market. Spoiled for choice I took a punt on the slow cooked Indonesian chicken curry from Makatcha and if it wasn't one of the best surprises I've had! It was, quite simply, stonkingy good! Rich, spicy and wonderfully moreish. For someone who adores coconut it has an amazingly punchy coconut flavour and I would happily eat it every day of the week. I will definitely be going back to try the beef and vegetarian options!

The best £8 I have ever spent on food at a music festival! I recommend and if I ever see them again I will be the first in that queue! I chose the vegan chickpea, spinach and garlic curry which was served in an eco friendly take out container, with carrots, chillies, cucumber and white rice. It was delicious, filling and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus the team at the stand seemed really into what they do and were really chatty which is a bonus. You can pay a lot more for some truly unappetising food at these places but Makatcha was an overdue and welcome surprise for my taste buds. I don't know if they'll be in Hyde Park for the rest of the British Summer Time Festivals but if they are you need to try it!
