Mahi in Arun

We have just moved to Pagham & had a busy day unpacking boxes so decided to try the local Indian takeaway Muskan. We were met by 2 friendly faces & a good varied menu. We decided to share a Special Mixed Biriany with Tarka Dall & Popadoms. There was plenty to share and very fairly priced. We really enjoyed it and look forward to trying more dishes in the future.

Onion baghies were the worst I have ever eaten, almost raw and no flavour- naan bread was very doughy so was inedible- curry bland- never again

The food tastes nothing like Indian food. Parts of it were cold as if it had been mixed up. That’s the start.

Staying at nearby caravan site recently we collected a takeaway from Mahi and felt we had to write to say how good it was. All hot, freshly cooked/prepared and delicious. Would definitely recommend Mahi.

We ordered for delivery, and was told there was a along wait so we collected from the restaurant for a family birthday. When the food arrived it was massively oily and the containers were half full. The puri for the two starters (which were being eaten as mains) were so wet and oily they weren’t edible. Called the restaurant to ask if we could have fresh ones that we could eat along with the mint sauce that you normally would get but didn’t receive. The man on the phone was very rude but said he would STRAIGHT away, however after 25 minutes the food still hadn’t arrived. So everyone else had cold food sat around waiting. Called to ask how long food would be and staff was so rude and told me to talk to the manager and manager was just as rude. And told me NOT to write on tripadvisor and would give me 50% off next time, which I don’t believe we would get. So all in all staff rude, food not cooked well or enough portions. Wouldn’t recommend. We received a poster through our door about this place and decided to try it out. We ordered our takeaway just as Mahi opened at 5pm. It is refreshing that a takeaway opens a little earlier. 2 Korma's, 1 starter size chicken tikka, one main size chicken tikka, 2 Peshwari naans, poppadoms and a portion of onion bhaji s came to £35 and on collection we received another portion of onion bhaji s for free. The chicken tikka, naans and onion bhajis were really tasty. However, the korma was too sweet and lacked depth. The sauce also wasn't thick enough. Usually we would choose a Pasanda but this wasn't on the menu. Over all i would come here again, but wouldn't rush back. The service was good and quick. It was all tasty and recommended other than the korma. I wouldn't have that again.

My husband and I enjoyed Mahi, they gave us a few freebies and the food was good quality. Easy to park outside.

Always get a takeaway from this curry house when at the caravan at Rose Green. Friendly staff, great assortment of dishes, good prices. Delicious!

We had the food delivered to our caravan very prompt and piping hot All the dishes were delicious tandoori chicken perfectly cooked would definitely order again

Recently had a takeaway, i found the quality of the chicken in both curries to be a cheap meat. The taste and service of the staff was of a good standard.

I have used this takeaway for many years and always considered it very good food and service. However, just done an order for delivery and was told that they do not accept payment by card any longer. This is the reason that I have given it a low mark. If I find out that ownership has changed and the quality of the food has changed I will update this review.

Great food, well priced and always throw in the odd poppadom, salad FOC. We do not use anywhere else in the area.

Just wouldn't order from anywhere else in the area. Staff are great, food is delicious and worth every penny

Have used mahi numerous times and always had really nice food , However last time we used none of us completely enjoyed the food , dishes were cold , other dishes greasy , the breads were really greasy , and the price had jumped up , and no longer offering discount on orders you collect .

This is the second time we have used Mahi, the first time was really nice so thought I'd order again as we need to find a great Indian food restaurant, and yes!! We have found it!! Previous restaurants I have reviewed have let us down, but this meal was better than the first!! My wife only had a chicken chat and some sides, where as I had the lamb tikka phall, an amazing meal, yes it's hot but you can still taste the flavours of the food. The vegetable samosa are amazing!! I can't wait to order again and the girl that delivered the food was really friendly. Thanks so much!!

Always loved this restaurant but didn't use it often because they didn't do deliveries, so glad they do now. The food is excellent and plentiful, the only set back for me is you have to order £15.00 to get delivery which isn't to bad but if your the only one eating it it's hard to eat that much so it's a waste, but I highly recommend this takeaway.

Fantastic Indian food. Highly recommend the garlic chilli chicken - no one can beat it. The meat always tasted fresh and the prawn dishes are lush. So lucky to have this takeaway so close.

Been to this Indian a few times and the food is cooked as ordered so you might have to wait but its well worth waiting for.

This is our local Indian takeaway and a family run business. Very polite and courteous on the phone and given a time to collect the order. Food always ready spot on time, tastes beautiful, plentiful portions and very well presented. The food is also very 'clean', not cloying and sitting in residual fat like you often get with an Indian takeaway. Would thoroughly recommend without hesitation.

Great food & service. Lovely family run business. Phone your order in, they time it so when you collect they are finishing off cooking the food so it is lovely & hot when you get it home. Great flavours. Good size portions.

This is our local Indian take away. The food is consistently good. Plenty of variety on the menu, caters for veggies too. All the family love this food. Quick to fullfil the order, pleasant staff.

The food was hot and plentiful and included a nan bread, they even gave us two extra papadoms and a pot of mango chutney free. It is very small and they don't do deliverys. Prices are average. The person that served us was very friendly, and even thanked us for going there when it was so cold and wet. Will go back again.

The Mahi is the best Indian takeaway in the area. The service is always very friendly and they give a couple of free poppadums with every order. We have never had a bad meal. The portions are generous, tasty and the chicken is especially good, tender and tasty.

First try of local Indian takeaway very impressed with all the dishes we chose will definitely return

I have been using mahi now for years and can honestly say the food is excellent and the staff all polite, the food is cooked to order so a wait is inevitable but they are honest enough to tell you if it will be a long wait! If you are looking for good food in this area then you won't be disappointed!

Ordered a take away which was presented at least 20 minutes after the time we were told to collect.... Chicken jalfrezi had a nice orange puddle of oil on top which took 2 sheets of kitchen towel to mop up!!!! And the ban bread wasn't cooked right through. Doughy to say the least. Will not be rushing back in a hurry. :( very disappointed.

Can't fault the quality of service, or food at Mahi. Very polite & generous, always with a smile and the food, is simply delectable! Fresh and flavoursome, can't rate it highly enough. It's always busy with at least two or three customers picking up at the same time!

Food is fine and good portions. Only downside is they do not deliver and telephone orders are sometimes wrong. We only use this one in the area after trying the others.

Superb takeaway on my doorstep they always put some extra's in like salad an papadoms

This curry house serves excellent food, all the staff are helpful & friendly. They cook your curry to your liking and everything is fresh and piping hot on collection. Me and the family travel 60 miles every few weeks just to have a curry from here. I would have no hesitation to recommed The Mahi.

Started using the Mahi 2 or 3 years ago. Always had good friendly service and nice meals. Also if you spend over £15 you get a 10% discount.
