Magpie Pub in City of London, Westminster

Great pints - especially the free one! Nice ambiance - real pub feel. Soccer was on. I mean football. Bartenders were friendly!

I pop into the Magpie every so often as I love their fish goujons. It was lunchtime and fairly busy. Found a dirty table which I cleared and asked staff for something to clean the table with, which they gave me with no offer of cleaning it. The goujons were lovely but the chips were soggy and bland. I was preparing to leave when a very friendly manager called Shereece (sp) asked how my food was. I explained, and she was very apologetic and took the chips off my bill as she clearly saw them left. I really appreciated this as I was just going to leave and write a 2 star review but the way she dealt with the issue makes this a 4 star. Keep your good staff.

Friendly staff, nice beer and a cracking outside drinking space. Quick service and lovely pub. Recommended when you’re in the area

The Magpie is a lovely pub, not exactly quiet but away from the hustle of the Main Street. We were in the upstairs bar for the Euros, it was quite packed but the one server (Aga) managed it all, serving drinks, running food, collecting glasses, etc. It was a great evening.

Lovely kind place all the staff was very helpful and friendly really made me and my friends feel welcome and good prices would highly recommend.
