Mae + Harvey in Tower Hamlets

Permítanme comenzar mi examen diciendo que la calidad de sus alimentos es realmente muy buena. Lo digo en serio... Y también me gusta mucho el café. He vivido alrededor de "The Roman" durante la mayor parte de mi vida y he frecuentado (y todavía lo hago) todas las cafeterías a lo largo de la franja, incluyendo las del parque Vicky y el pueblo. Entonces, ¿por qué le di a M+H una reseña de 3 estrellas. . . . . . . La respuesta simple es "cargo por servicio". A primera vista, uno podría pensar (como me dijeron) que es una industria de servicios, así que ¿por qué no? Bueno, uno esperaría (y lo hago) pagar un cargo por servicio en un restaurante donde hay un flujo constante de servicio durante el entrante, el principal y el postre, pero no por entregar un tazón de deliciosa Granola, seguramente? El servicio es EXTREMADAMENTE ligero toque aquí. . . . . . . Aunque sí acordaron eliminarlo... Sondeé a todos mis otros embrujos en The Roman, y dijeron que no soñarían con ello, ya que está empaquetado en el precio y, por lo tanto, el margen... Me viene a la mente el arancel. . . Al personal de M+H, haces un gran trabajo y te agradezco sinceramente...

Nos alojamos cerca para un fin de semana de gallina. Habíamos enviado un correo electrónico unas semanas antes para hacer una reserva, pero nunca recibimos una respuesta. Algunos de nuestros miembros caminaron allí a la hora de apertura para solicitar una reserva, ya que dos de nuestros miembros estaban discapacitados y uno estaba embarazada. Nuestra petición fue rechazada. A la llegada, tuvimos que hacer cola durante más de 30 minutos. Hay algunos asientos afuera, pero en una mañana fría esto no fue agradable. No es una gran manera de tratar a los clientes.

Be prepared to WAIT. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good however, the wait times are not. In total, me and my boyfriend spent around 2 hours in the restaurant. 1 hour waiting for our table then an extra 40 mins waiting for our food (which granted is nice), then 20 mins finally eating. Expensive, long wait times and the staff, while friendly, were not too attentive. We wanted to order as soon as we got in and we were told we had to wait to order food- then the table next to us were allowed to order their food right away. Food is good but in my opinion not worth the 1 hour and a half wait to have it!

Good option for brunch at walking distance from Victoria park The coffee was excellent, decent portions and good service

First time here today and can definitely see why people queue. Delicious food. Beautifully presented. Coffee rich and full of flavour. Even though everyone was rushed off their feet, the staff were super efficient and friendly and welcoming. If I had one complaint, I would just say not keen on the amount of dogs, tables are very close together and I personally don’t like the smell of dogs close to my eating area but I’m probably in the minority.

Excellent brunch, petite carte, bons produits et belle présentation. Le service est également très agréable. Nous nous sommes régalés ! ☺️

Friendly and efficient service with a cheese and pickle toastie that was literally mouth watering. The delicious blend of flavours. I washed it down with a perfect Americano.

私の隠れ家的なカフェ。全て美味しく、トマトはトマトの味、卵の黄身の濃さ、とにかく何を食べても美味しく健康的！サービスもフ レンドリーです。日本人にとっては少しカロリー高めかもしれませんが、おいしい朝食、ランチ、ブランチをいただきたい方には最高です。残念なことにデザートは中の中。名前は忘れましたが、チキンのサンドイッチは絶品。いつも２切れ食べられず、１切れはお持ち帰りします。

I’ve been passing this place lots and always has huge queues. But after a couple of years I’ve now recently been a handful of times midweek when quieter. It’s pretty minimalist, not much soul and very echo-y. But the small menu has amazing sandwiches and great coffee. Interestingly there’s a no-laptops rule (fine) yet the very posh ‘new Roman Road’ mums who have dropped their kids off and meet to TALK VERY LOUDLY about dear little Dom, Tamara and Jonty and their sad cancelled holidays to the Maldives with Pippa and Sebastian are tolerated. A ‘talk quietly’ sign might be preferential. Cafe East a few doors away has a brilliant atmosphere. However well done to this gentrified little joint for great quality fare

We recently spent the weekend celebrating my cousin's wedding here at Mae & Harvey and spectacular would be an understatement. Everything was executed so smoothly, from the delicious array of canapes to the unforgettable Tom Collins! The staff was so attentive and we couldn't have wanted for anything more. I will be sure to return to try the infamous Chicken Sarnie xxx

Would highly recommend this cafe! The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and accommodating! I will 100% be back!

There was a short queue for breakfast which obviously demonstrates that this would be good Very unusual breakfast dishes with excellent service

I love this place, I used to go there quite a lot. Lovely and attentive staff, nice decor, and with the renovation the place looks really nice and cozy. I love their winter menu, and their coffee. However today I left the cafe unimpressed and hungry, didn't like the curry salad and I barely ate it. The curry was overly diluted and was at least 70% noodles. I would have expected a hearty salad. Maybe with more veg and a thicker sauce. We also ordered the pasta with sausage and that was tasty. Coffee was good. They change the menu every now and then and I think that's good.

Absolutely best breakfast I have ever had! Place is very small, so expect to be queuing, but trust me, totally worth it! Staff is super cool, food arrives super fast and freshness and quality of food is exquisite!

Tiny little cafe not far from Victoria park, and the brunch is honestly so good. The scrambled eggs are knockout, all the portion sizes generous, and the beans on the halloumi dish are so delicious. Might have to queue because not much space, but worth the wait.

Cosy and friendly cafe in Mile End serving delicious Flat Whites at a reasonable price. Will be back!

I only popped in on my way to a job interview for a coffee. This place is so cute and the staff are fantastic!! They came over with water and a menu and made me feel so welcome. Unfortunately I can not comment on the food however it looks and smells divine! I would highly recommend popping in of you are in area! Top stars ⭐

Great food and amazing coffee. Staff was nice and if you are lucky enough you can see how your food is prepared. As it's tiny place - you have to queue for a spot to sit, but it's worth it

Have been following these guys on Insta but now, after living in London for half a year, Realised they are in the street that I live in! I went over for Lunch with a friend and it was amazing! The coffee was the best and we ordered the waffles with halloumi, beans and egg and it was super yummyy. The girl that was working was so sweet as well so we will definitely be back.

This unassuming cafe serves the most amazing artisanal breakfast I’ve had the joy of sampling. The staff are suberbly friendly and will bend over backwards for you. I look forward to my next visit.

Visited for the first time today and the food was incredible, the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Natasha and the staff were amazing. Can’t recommend it enough. We will be back soon.

I love Mae + Harvey! The staff are all super friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming, with regular conversations breaking out between strangers. The food is perfect for Instagram, and the coffee is great!

We use to have breakfast here, during the week and Brunch on sunday morning (very often). Girls are amazing and the products they use are Fresh and delicious!! THAN YOU FOR MDE OUR DAYS
