From the outside doesn't look much but the coffee was good and the paninies with brie, ham and cranberry were stuffed full.

Popped in here after looking for a place that served afternoon cream teas. Madeleine's provided us with this and it was very very nice. Thank you.

This is a lovely cafe, serving freshly made food. We are local to the area and this is our 'go to' cafe because the food is always fresh and so very tasty. Along with homemade soups and jacket potatoes, they do delicious toasted sandwiches with lots of different fillings to choose from. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who wants a very reasonably priced, delicious breakfast/lunch with great customer service.

Having had a pretty good lunch here previously, I had no issue visiting again. However, this time around the experience was far from a good one. Personally, I feel the menu is a little over-priced. The panini I had was quite tasty, but the food takes an overly long time to arrive. I ordered after 2pm so can’t have been part of the lunchtime rush. Unfortunately, the staff encountered on this occasion were quite rude and very dismissive. They seemed to be struggling to keep on top of things, although the café wasn’t particularly busy. I won’t be rushing back.

Outdoor service was brilliant, we felt well looked after, and cared for, including the offer of water for our pooch, and our drinks, cutlery and condiments arriving promptly, and with a smile - hence three stars. Then the heavens opened and the rain was bouncing off the pavement. We hastily beat a retreat indoors, finding a table just as our toasted sandwiches were arriving... Phew.... Only to be told, extremely abruptly, that dogs aren't allowed on the premises. Now I know rules are rules but, on occasions, one can add a little common sense, can't they... lots of places that serve food allow four legged creatures on site... and we'd ordered, and paid, in glorious sunshine. Apparently common sense prevailing was not an option, on this occasion... which necessitated me standing in the open door on the door mat, with my pooch stood off the premises on the paving slabs, whilst I tried to eat my bacon and cheese toasty - which would have tasted better sat down at a table... and with a little less cheese. So... if you have a four legged pooch in tow and you don't have Met Office confirmation that there will be no rain whilst you eat... you might want to consider a dog friendly venue (of which there are excellent ones within Cirencester).

Enjoyed our lunch of a jacket potato and a baguette. There is inside and outside seating, we decided to sit outside as it was a warm day. Friendly staff and good value for money.

We started to come here after our usual coffee shop Costa wasn’t coming up to standards. Ever since we’ve been coming to Madeleines we have always enjoyed having food and drink here. The food comes out really quick and is always fresh and hot. Same with the drinks too always hot when they arrive. Every member of staff is incredibly friendly too even remembering what he have all the time. The owner is also wonderful and always says hello. If you are in Cirencester I would absolutely recommend coming here.

Enjoyed our visit today. Extremely tasty chicken baguettes with a refreshing cup of tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful indeed. The restaurant itself is nice and clean and bright inside, with extra seating outside. Would be happy to return next time we are in Cirencester.

Popped in today for breakfast, ordered a latte and thick chocolate milkshake, poached egg on toast. The drinks arrived quickly but it was a good 15 minutes for the. food. The milkshake was not thick, just milk with lumps of ice cream. I asked if the eggs were runny but they were not. Disappointed. The staff were nice and friendly but we won’t be returning.

Had a fabulous lunch here. I had cheese, tomato and onion toastie and my friend had cheese and bacon toastie. Both felt it was one of the best sandwiches we’d ever had - loaded with really tasty cheese, just as a toasted sandwich should be!! Lovely strong cheddar. Tea and coffee could have been in cup, mug or pot (lovely to get that choice) and was nice and hot. The meal was rounded off with home made lemon sponge cake (huge portion!) and the whole lot was only £19. Excellent value and lovely friendly staff. Will return.

Usually go here when in cirencester and enjoy the food but went yesterday and had a cheese and bacon toastie. Love tasty cheddar, which they used but was so much cheese it was over powering and the bacon was greasy. So disappointed. Lovely fresh salad to accompany the sandwich and friendly staff. Couldn’t eat much of the sandwich, spoilt my visit to the cafe and would be reluctant to go again

We stopped here for lunch as i wanted something nice to eat instead of fast food which i can take or leave, this is situated by marks and spencer,we were on holiday so we went here looking for lunch. Good varied menu, they do specials as well, not bad prices,i had coronation jacket pototo, with side salad, filling came separate which i prefered,my partner had bacon and stilton panini with side salad, both very delicious,i really enjoyed mine, lady who served us was very helpful when i asked if the chicken was soft as i have a sore mouth,we also had 2 latte coffee as well, very enjoyable as it wasnt very nice out that day. Lots of locals seem to go here, that speaks for itself. If we are ever on holiday near there again,we will defo go back,my kind of food and no chips on menu which i thought was very good. Thankyou very much,Great little find!

Excellent restaurant in a very beautiful hotel where I celebrated my birthday with a a small group of friends. Last year I also enjoyed an evening meal here with my partner. Ambience, service and food were perfect. Apéritifs in the lounge, well-spaced tables in the restaurant, excellent, polite and friendly staff, delicious food and lovely surroundings. By far the best restaurant I have been to in years.

What a find, a very quintessential English country pub serving local beers as well as a very stocked back shelf and wine cellar. The welcome is warm and very friendly from the staff and locals alike. Not once did we finish our meals and head home, as we started conversations with the locals and fellow guests, that meant for a very social atmosphere. There is a good lunch menu and a very comprehensive evening menu. I promise you will want to come back to try "something else" off the menu, I know we did and we soon realised that we had to pick either starters & main or main & desert due to the larger portions you receive.

We attended a Wedding at Fosse Manor (in their Hyde Barn). The wedding catering was excellent. It is confusing to read the other reviews here as there was no actual restaurant on site that we could see - just the wedding banquet room and adjoining bar. Breakfast however was not good. Pre-cooked under 3 heat lamps and self-service. The tea was very weak even after adding more tea-bags! The breakfast room was styled like a hostel with long trestle tables for lots of guests to sit together, and was extremely noisy. After a night spent in the terrible accommodation here (for which we have written a separate review) we did not enjoy this experience at all. A shame, as the Wedding catering itself was very well done and managed.

A very old fashioned type of tea room. You think you're going into a book shop at first, then go into the main tea room. It all exudes history and quality. Very nice for afternoon tea, the cakes are wonderful and all made on the premises, the brunch was great too. Can't really fault it. Service was quick despite it being very busy. Highly recommended, well worth a visit
