We ate here for lunch back in October. We had a ham, cheese and tomato panini, a ham sandwich and a tuna sandwich with a chocolate milkshake followed by a mint sundae and an orange sundae. It was all fine. The service was a bit slow. I also purchased a couple of items from the candy bar, which unfortunately turned out to be very out of date and inedible.

Poor quality of food and dreadful coffee What can say, it's certainly quirky however the cream tea was quite possible the worst I have ever experienced. The scones were 'warmed' I fear in a microwave and lacked all texture you would expect from a scone. The clotted cream quite frankly could have been used as window putty - unspreadable and lumpy which was very disappointing. The latte had an unusual twang to it....this culinary delight cost £19 for the 2 of us..... Folks you have been warned Can I just say the staff however were very friendly and they had a dog bowl.... Always a plus!

Quirky decor but scones were disappointing. I'm guessing they were frozen and then defrosted in the microwave ( happy to stand corrected though) as they were of strange consistency. I would also suggest they display opening times on the internet ( easy to add to Google profile) and on signage on or near the door as despite the sign saying "open" they were turning people away. A nice addition to Bodmin .

Went on fri of the Easter holidays. With my teenagers and friend. Got given a menu between 4 of us. There was so much on it my 15 yr old son said I just can't read it Mum. The lady was rushed off her feet, could have done with another pair of hands. Went to order and what the kids wanted she said was no longer on the menu and they were waiting for new menus! If she'd said this as she gave the menu out I would have no problem. However they wanted pancakes with ice-cream, both on the menu elsewhere but couldn't do it, so ended up with pancakes and cream which was more expensive and too sickly for 2/3 of them. Has potential just needs more staff and a heads up on what's no longer on the menu when the menu is being given out. Or a temporary menu whilst waiting for the new ones!!

Always wanted to try here and finally got to go today and a rainy Wednesday morning - this really cheered up my day. Really impressed - its decor is fantastic and would be suitable venue for all ages (they cater for parties). I had a warm cheese scone with real butter and an orange flavoured hot chocolate they were delicious. The staff were really welcoming and allowed us to view the other rooms upstairs. If you ever visit Bodmin it’s worth a visit and prices are really reasonable.

Popped in for morning coffee and breakfast. Had crumpets (with plenty of butter provided) and my friend had a cheese toastie which was beautifully presented with a decorative side salad and lovely thick cut bread. The coffee was good, the service was friendly, and it was so nice to sit outside and watch the world go by. The inside of the tearooms is nice and quirky, too, and they also have a fantastic hot chocolate menu so I think we’ll be back!

Easy 5 stars!! The food was sublime but the service was even better! Our waiter who I believe was the restaurant owners son was very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed, we also had a generally nice chat with him after the meal, I believe his name was gage or maybe jake? I think it was gage but look out for him next time you go to this tea room!

Brilliantly theme cafe (Alice in wonderland) We had high teas, which were nice just the right portion size. The only let down was the customer service. When we arrived it was like we had interrupted the owner having a chat with friends and also when we went to pay the owner made sure she finished her conversation with her friend first rather then seeing to a paying customer. Lovely concept but the customer service needs improving.

We visited when stopping off on our trip to Cornwall. The Alice in Wonderland theming was superb. Food excellent, large selection on the menu and good value for money. Great find and would highly recommend.

Wow, this place is...odd. The owners/staff were very unfriendly (they were busy chatting with friends and seemed annoyed we came in and they had to serve us) and the place is, unsurprisingly, overwhelmed with Alice in Wonderland memorabilia. They are clearly trying to stick out so it was all about the design of the cafe and presentation of the food, but we felt the food tasted store-bought rather than homemade. Too much focus on looks and not enough on quality of food.

We popped in to see what options I could have. Much to my delight there was a section on the menu for vegans as well as other food. I had the wraps and a butterscotch shake. My husband and I then went halves on a slice ofDevils food cake and the chocolate tart. The food was so tasty and would definitely visit again.

Dropped in on our first visit to Bodmin. Decor was not really my taste but certainly quirky. Panini and pate on toast with lattes ordered 40 mins later still not served.

Popped in here for a quick lunch after going on the steam railway. Very prettily decorated and the coffee was of fair quality. The problem is we had finished our coffee by the time our food arrived, 35 minutes for pate and toast and a panini was far too long! Apparently they had ran out of pate, this explains the Guy running out of the door and down the street! At no point did anyone explain until we asked for a refund. At that point we were told! The food arrived and was of at best less than average, well it was purchased from a supermarket! Were we offered any type of apology, no! And there was no toilet roll in the ladies!

The decor makes this a visit to remember. It is a homage to Alice in Wonderland but the beverages are very as well good and there is plenty to appeal to children.

Lovely Alice in Wonderland themed tea room. Excellent service from the staff/owners, lovely people, very accomodating. We had the cream tea which was lovely, plentiful & great value (£4.95).Nice varied menu & good tea/coffee selection. Nice relaxed friendly atmosphere with fantastic Alice in wonderland decor. Owners have put a lot of thought & hard work into the tea rooms & it shows. Will definately be going again & recommend if you are in or passing Bodmin, then pop inespecially if you are a Alice fan or just a fan of good reasonably priced food.

Popped in here on a visit to Bodmin for my birthday and I've got to say it's probably one of the best Cafes Ive ever been to and definitely the best wonderland themed cafe I've ever seen. The food was amazing and they do really funky milkshakes. The staff are delightful. Just gutted it's not closer to where I live because I would be a regular

Close to the beach but wildly overpriced for really basic fare and their “artisan gelato” is disgusting. We tried three flavours and they were all terrible, but the chocolate was so atrocious we couldn’t finish it. Ask yourself when the last time you didn’t finish an ice cream was!

On holiday for a week and we visited 3 times. First time was for a drink only, second for an evening meal and thenthirdnfir Sunday lunch. On all occasions, service was friendly, attentive (without being in your face or false) and courteous. Our evening meal was a beautiful piece of grilled haddock in a very tasty sauce with vegetables and potatoes. We also ordered a side of truffled mac n cheese. It was absolutely amazing. Sunday lunch was probably the best I've ever eaten as a pub dining experience and I've eaten a fair few in my 59 years. We opted for the 3 meat version of beef, pork and turkey. The vegetable selection was interesting and perfectly cooked. The giant yorkshire pudding was delicious but for me, the roast potatoes and gravy were the jewels in the very large crown. There was no room for pudding but on our evening visit, we did share the amaretto chocolate torte, which was fantastic 😀. For the quality and portion sizes, I would say The Pityme Inn is excellent value for money.

The staff were very friendly. The hot drinks were alright and the cakes were alright. They didn't rush us. The whole atmosphere was really nice and lovely. I didn't have to raise my voice to speak to my boyfriend who has a hearing impairment which is a hearing aid.
