As far as I'm concerned, this is the best coffee shop in wadebridge, the lady who served me was so lovely and we had super choices for drinks, I had a mince pie lattee which to my delight was delicious! Can't wait to return here

Friends took us to lunch at Mad Hatters and it was a great choice. Quite a few lighter options (e.g. sandwiches, toasties etc.) plus there were blackboard specials. The woman serving was excellent - born to hospitality - and very friendly and helpful. The food was great and came with added extras. For example, my gammon sandwich came with potato chips (crisps), apple, stuffing, small salad. Lovely. Tasty food; good options; excellent staff. Recommended.

We are regular visitors to Mad Hatters. Now three years since Sharon and Chris took over. We go for lunch and regularly are treated to one of Chris’s specials. Either soup or mackerel pate are fantastic regulars. However there are occasional delights like moussajka, lamb hotpot! Well worth looking at the specials board. Always a warm welcome from Sharon and super service. For us a wonderful regular treat!

After stumbling upon this bistro we were happy to learn they offer gluten free scones (which seems to be a rare thing to find in Wadebridge). The service was great and the scones were awesome - which the whole family enjoyed. (the coffee was great as well). We'd researched this place before our brief stop in Wadebridge. It was supposed to open at 10am and we were there a few minutes before that, so we wandered around for a bit though it was much later that it finally opened. We had the breakfast sandwich and waffle with bacon. Just been this afternoon (26.07.2019). With it being the last full day of our holiday, we decided it would be the perfect time to go out and look for a place to try our very first CORNISH CREAM TEA and we are so glad we decided to choose and come to this lovely, quaint place. The cafe is beautifully decorated and it really does make you feel like you have entered Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter's party place. I'm more a coffee person than a tea person but was so glad I stuck to having tea with my Cornish Cream Tea as it went down grandly with everything. The scones were served warm and it was just so light, fluffy and absolutely delicious with the jam ("it's JAM first in Cornwall!") and clotted cream. It was heaven on a plate! The owner (we assume she was the owner) and her staff were so friendly, warm and welcoming. Loved every second we were there. You need to visit this place when in Wadebridge. My husband was eyeing the Victoria Sponge Cake. I think he'd have ordered a slice if he still had some space in his tummy for it as it looked divine, too. Would come back if ever we are in the area again. Thank you.

Scone and butter £3.50 looks and tastes like supermarket bought. Bacon sandwich £4.50 just about acceptable but on basic brown sliced bread when there is a proper bakery in town. Who thinks £3.50 is a reasonable price for a toasted teacake? They mention locally sourced food by which I think they mean the Coop just behind. There are plenty of cheaper and better cafe's within a couple of minutes walk.

This cafe is now called Cafeccino and I suspect run by different people . Before the menu had a good choice of dishes and excellent service . Today our experience was much worse ,we ordered a bacon sandwich and two coffees from the very limited menu and sat waiting at our table for 20 minutes and nothing arrived ( the cafe was not busy ) ,I got up and asked where our food and drinks were ,she had forgotten ,what did she think we were sitting at a table for ?I got a refund and was glad to leave because the woman behind the counter had been feeding a dog using her fingers and patting the animal down and not washing her hands ! Very unprofessional . My advice is to avoid this place .
