Macs Coffee House and Bistro in South Lanarkshire

The staff are friendly and really welcoming but the surroundings not so much. It's a huge space with not a lot filling it. It was cold on the few occasions I was in. The menu has enough to suit most tastes but it is really expensive for what you get. Unfortunately, the cost has put me off going back. In comparison to other cafes in Hamilton, Macs is very overpriced.

The cafe looked smart and inviting, so decided to make a pit stop whilst shopping. Ordered a scone and small coffee, which cost over £6. Unfortunately this was a waste of money as the coffee was very bitter and they charged extra for the milk and the scone was so dry it was almost inedible. Very disappointing food and drink and would say it is over priced compared to other cafes in Hamilton. Don't think I would be tempted back.

Went in to order a sandwich, salad box & 2 diet cokes. Overall price seemed higher than menu suggested. When challenged, somebody, who wasn’t serving me, shouted that Halloumi incurred a higher charge as it was “expensive to buy in”. Two things: Halloumi is not expensive and secondly I’m pretty sure it is illegal not to show extra charges on the menu. Told them to shove it and will never be back!!! Plenty of good places to eat in Hamilton where the menu price is what you actually pay. Hopefully they have now made it clear that if you order steak or Halloumi then it is dearer, but i will never find out as I wouldn’t eat for free in here.

Best coffee and food I have tasted in a while. We had the Macs and cheese and fries OMG was delicious BEST ever. The staff are great nothing is a problem just such a relaxed place to eat and relax. We have made it one of our regular stops now :-) the staff are so welcoming and just let you and your family get on with your time out. What can I say Great Great Great Thanks Macs Coffee House <3

Well what can I say. The food is awesome and freshly made every day. The Mac shakes and Mac ice is to die for and my mum has the Coffee which she said Was the best she has ever tasted. I had grenat toast and bacon my mum had pancakes and syrup which were huge I may had :-) my husband and son had a baguette which had so much filling in them they had to take half home. Would so recommend this Coffee House so good and value for money. The staff are so helpful and nothing is a problem at all. My son had booked an appointment in the barbers which is situated in the Coffee house which is great, haircut then lunch what more could you ask for. Well done Macs x

Where to start the over all look and atmosphere is trendy and so welcoming, the staff are always more than happy to help and accommodate your needs. The food is absolutely to die for that is freshly made each day and isn’t like anything else in the Hamilton area, over all the food and the staff are well worth a return visit would highly recommend !!!

Visiting the bank next door and dropped in for breakfast. Friendly welcome and quickly ordered,a Smokey Stack (pancakes, maple syrup and crispy back). My order arrived quickly, looked good and tasted delicious. A great start to the day. Place is spacious, lots of comfortable seats and helpful staff. A good place to visit. I will be back soon.
