We come here regularly for lunch and the food is always very good quality, the portions a decent size, and the prices very reasonable. The menu has quite a good choice and there are also home made cakes for sale which are delicious! It is run by a mix of able-bodied staff and less able-bodied staff who are always cheerful , enthusiastic and well supported and encouraged by their support staff. It is pleasant to eat here as it is clean and bright and has such a cheerful and positive atmosphere.

I live nearby and popped in for takeaway sandwich and cake for two. Tuna mayo baguette and cheese and tomato sandwich were very quickly prepared, really well filed, first class ingredients and delicious. The cakes are all homemade and brilliant and the slices are large. We had Victoria sponge and coffee cake and enjoyed both. Pity is this came to £13 with no drinks and seems to be getting a little expensive. It is a joy to be served by the adults with learning difficulties that do the bulk of the work here.

Just walking into Macintyre Great Holm coffee shop gave me a good feeling. Clean, bright with cheery chairs, tables and comfy settees. The chicken salad was fresh, attractive and delicious. Excellent quality, moist chicken with plenty of freshly prepared vibrant salad. The double espresso was so good I had another. I am off sugar so wasn’t going to try the beautiful selection of cakes, but enjoyed window shopping 😄 Great atmosphere and nothing too much trouble. Well worth supporting!

Calling it a coffee shop undermines what it has on offer in this restaurant, hot food, baguettes, sandwiches and lots of lovely cakes, oh and not forgetting delicious bread pudding! It is run by able bodied and not so able bodied people, which adds to the charisma of this restaurant.I think it is an amazing place to have people serving you who are not so able, but at the same time it all feels very normal. The surroundings are clean and bright, and every time I have eaten their, it has always been good quality tasty food and drink, at a very reasonable cost.

Range of freshly brewed coffees, delicious cakes and light breakfasts and lunches. Served by the most attentive team you could find. Run by the Macintyre charity which supports young people and adults with learning disabilities.

This is part of the MacIntyre centre and provides an opportunity for those with learning difficulties to work. As such a little patience is often needed but nonetheless the cafe is a good place for a light lunch in pleasant surroundings. On offer is a range of sandwiches, baguettes and toasties as well as some ‘Daily specials’ and cakes. Many local people come here to meet up with friends.

I would much rather have a coffee here than in one of the high street chains. This seems to be a well-kept MK secret. What a pity that I have been missing out. Had a very nice latte and a piece of chocolate cake. Next time I will come for lunch as the simple menu looked very appealing. Plenty of tables and also places to park.

Very pleasantly surprised by the concept of people with perceived disabilities working together as a team. I enjoyed my latte and a piece of cake but has much more to offer. I received good attention from the workers and I enjoyed them pulling together. I would hope people will visit this venture to support the workers and those trying to help them progress in their life. Look forward to coming again.

I frequently take my son who has a learning disability to have lunch at Great Holm. He loves their sandwiches, pizzas and he especially enjoys the wonderful cakes. Naturally the staff are very friendly and sensitive to the needs of my son due to the level of his disability.

Thanks to Trip Advisor this was a lovely little find. The cafe is tastefully decorated. Modern, and spotlessly clean. It's a lovely relaxing space, with plenty of room for buggys and wheel chairs. But with a disabled parking bay right outside, my husband didn't have to use his wheel chair. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Some have learning disabilities but the awesome thing about this place is that there isn't a member of staff who is disabled when it comes to their job. They are friendly, happy, efficient and can't do enough to help. Everything is made fresh to order and it runs like clockwork. I had the butternut squash soup followed by home made Victoria Sandwich Cake and a cappuccino and my husband had a pepperoni melt panini followed by home made coffee cake with tea. The cake just melted in your mouth. The price was very reasonable too. £14.85 for everything. We will definitely make a return visit, as well as recommend to others. It's easy to find. It's on the right as you go up Portway from the A5.

Myself and work colleagues were in the area yesterday from Birmingham and this coffee shop was recommended so we decided to go for breakfast. What a fantastic little place. Majority of staff have learning disabilities we had a wonderful greeting on entry, getting a high five and hand shake which was lovely, the decor is very tasteful. The menu is great the food was fantastic ( would recommend the full English). I was very impressed with waiter service we received very professional, polite and friendly and reasonable prices. Please please if you are in the area go and support this local business to give the adults some recognition for the work they do. Loved the iniative of employee of the month too. The staff seemed for happy in their work and obviously feel valued and appreciated. Good job done by all! Keep it up! Xxx

Always recommend to colleagues and glad to have introduced two more colleagues today to this wonderful, warm and inviting coffee shop. I have tried food from MacIntyre's on several occasions. It has always been excellent. Today they provided a lunch buffet for 500 staff at the head office of Volkswagen Financial Services. The food was delivered in a timely and very friendly manner to our offices. The savoury items were the usual high standard provided by Macintyre. The cakes were incredible ! Colleagues were sharing and sampling the cakes with great excitement . Personal highlights for me included the Granola slice - full of flavour and moist fruit, impeccable victoria sponge and an amazing coconut sponge that took me back to my childhood......Many thanks to all at MacIntyre

A delightful find. Lovely decor & friendly service. I visited with a friend for a coffee and a chat. The chocolate brownie is probably the best I've eaten (and I've eaten a few a few)! If you're looking for a reasonable place for lunch or a coffee, then this place is certainly worth a visit. It makes a change from the chain coffee shops.

Great little coffee shop behind the fire station. Told about it by a friend and was amazed at the good coffee and home made food. Staff are so friendly and attentive but give them some time to deal, with you. It is good to know that you are supporting a good cause while you eat.

I've been here two or three times. Each time there's been a nice atmosphere, a place to sit and work while having a hot drink or snack. The staff are friendly and they offer what good customer service used to look like. Hot drinks are lovely. They open early which is perfect for early risers. They do close early however the reasons why are commendable as they do so to support the community. Bear in mind they do have music playing in the background so if you’re working, noise-cancelling headphones for meetings, calls etc would be advised.

This is a great place to pop in for a coffee and/or meet friends or colleagues for lunch. There is a good selection of drinks and brunch or lunch options and a great selection of cakes if you want to be a bit naughty! There is loads of space, ample free parking, free wi fi, and the lady serving on the couple of occasions I have visited so far is absolutely lovely she really makes you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Prices very reasonable as well - what's not to like? Only a couple of minutes from city centre, I thoroughly recommend you give this lovely cafe a try.

We tried Tea and Toast in Wolverton for breakfast today. Pictured below is the Spanish omelette and their Turkish breakfast. The portions were really super sized. The place seems to be very popular with locals and the owner is an amazing chap who was going around making sure everyone had what they needed. He even offered us complimentary Turkish tea at the end of our meal. Everything came in at a very reasonable price and we even had to take away quite a bit as couldn’t finish it all.

Visited this hidden gem while our Grandson was having swimming lessons. What a find, being inside a large gym it was extremely unlikely that I’d ever stumble across it. I’m glad I know it’s here now. The cheesecake was to die for as was the Victoria sponge that my wife had. All homemade on the premises by the very friendly guy who looked after us. I suppose if you really thought it necessary you could go and work it all off in the gym. I preferred to sit comfortably in the lovely spacious cafe though and let it all settle gently. I’m definitely going to come back and try the breakfast!

The bookshop has long gone, sadly, but happiness and fun lingers... The Little Bookshop has reopened! Stop by for a poetry group or freshen up your computer skills; bring the kids to a dedicated kiddies library; meet friends for coffee and cake or even grab dinner from the soon-to-be opened Community Fridge.
