MacIntyre Coffee Shop in Milton Keynes

We stopped for drinks and cake and were very pleased with all the cakes we chose. The staff were very friendly. We had already eaten a meal before we went but were impressed by the all day breakfast the people were eating on the next table. £6 including a drink is fabulous value.

I had lunch last week at this cafe when out with my walking group.I hadn't heard of this cafe before my visit.The prices were very reasonable and the service very good.I had a full english breakfast with a coffee for £6.00.There were quite a few people there on a Thursday lunchtime which indicates its popularity

We visited the cafe for breakfast and we had the most wonderful time. The sausage and bacon sandwiches were delicious and the coffee is really tasty too. The staff in the cafe are absolutely lovely and the service was brilliant.

Good food, great atmosphere, warm welcome from the friendly staff. Oh, and did I mention the delicious cake, especially the lemon drizzle. MacIntyres is always worth a visit and highly recommend.

Again back in the area it’s a definite visit for me . Today I had a full English breakfast , and a pot of green tea . All served with a smile , and not at all greasy . On paying , couldn’t resist buy one of their Eccles cakes , The are simply the very best I’ve ever had period . Thanks again to all concerned in this for good cause .

Back up in the area for a few weeks , arrived this morning 3rd of December and made right for my favourite cafe . It’s a charity based unit that helps others . I had a very nice Breakfast , with good happy staff who enjoy their jobs . And they bake the best Eccles cakes I’ve ever had , will be in during the week to place my order . ❤️

Friendly cafe run by amazing people, some who happen to have additional needs. Food is amazing, plentiful and tasty, always fresh and plentiful. Cakes look amazing.

All though I’ve been in the area again for about a month , it’s the first time I’ve been in since it’s refurb . I opted for a full English and a pot of green tea , thoroughly enjoyed it the girls were full of smiles and witty banter that I enjoyed and exchanged with them . I just love the concept . And helping these people to have a real purpose in life , and giving them the skills , and confidence to do so . well done to you all .

Always a good place for a visit. Now it has been refurbished it is even more tempting. Good food and drinks. Always a friendly smile and a place to unwind.

It has been a while since I last visited the MacIntyre Coffee Shop in the Hight Street, Stony Stratford. The food, drinks, staff, and service levels are still great but they have now upgraded the interior of the shop with a modern and sleek look - well done to everyone involved, the shop looks absolutely wonderful.

Did guided tour of historic Stony Stratford then adjourned here for welcome cuppa and cake. Delightful place, lovely ‘special’ staff and yummy cake. Did I mention the cake?? Well done all who work here. You are an inspiration to all. xx

I have never been into this cafe in all the years ive been around the area .It will now be my port of call every time im in Stoney,great value for money ,and more importantly in my eyes its raising money for very good causes .If you are visiting ,or you are a local go and support good causes by having a coffee ,cake, or light snack in this establishment.i personaly will not use any of the so called trendy coffee shops ,and am pleased to say never have .i like to support the local traders.

Really friendly staff. Nice food. Good prices. We found this by chance whilst passing through and would definitely visit again if we were in the area. Lovely little cafe.

Getting boring now, stopped in for lunch and guess what? Served in good time by friendly staff, a nice crispy toasty with tasty coleslaw and salad, enough tea to float a battle ship all at very reasonable price. Nuff said so if you are after a snack lunch and you are in Stony, go for it.

Popped in to the MaciIntyre Coffee Shop on a very hot morning; it was nice to sit outside on the small bistro table just to enjoy the breeze! Had a cup of coffee and a slice of lovely chocolate cake (very generous portion size) - great value for money too. Served by a very efficient and cheerful young man - it would be nice if staff wore a badge just giving their first name so that they could be given public recognition for their excellent work.

very nice to support MacIntyres - they employ staff with some challenges and its great to see them being given the opportunity. We have only had tea and cakes but they do sandwiches etc

Had their home made soup, excellent and she who must be obeyed had a sandwich again full of filling, nothing skimped a good honest meal for a good honest price and excellent staff. Well dome Macintyre.

I popped in and had a lovely latte and shortbread. It was then I found out that the shop is run by the MacIntyre Charity.. fantastic!

We are regular visitors here because its great to support MacIntyre, the food is good and its always served by friendly staff. Often busy on Saturdays so come early to secure a seat.

We were looking for a light lunch in Stony Stratford and popped in here. We were delighted to have something to eat & drink whilst making a very small contribution to a great cause - supporting those with learning disabilities - which I guess most people don’t think much about. Tea, coffee, sandwiches, panini all great and ordered & delivered by friendly staff. Great idea, great cause, great lunch!

The menu is limited, but if what I had was typical then the quality and quantity is good.Simple and clean environment. Lovely welcoming people. Liked the fact that it is at one end of the High Street, not crowded like some of the other places I viewed and passed by.If you want a quick and tasty snack give it a whirl.

Dropped in for a light lunch with a friend - great food at a great price, but a little crowded.I suppose that's the price of being such good value for money. Just have to get there earlier - and there will be a next time!

The Macintyre cafes and bakeries are a social enterprise to help people with severe learning difficulties. If that sounds a little worthy or offputting, don't be worried - the cakes are very nice (and good value). The atmosphere is always cheerful; I'd recommend a pot of tea as the coffee is from a machine though perfectly drinkable.

Have recently due to circumstances.,started to order breakfast baguettes as a takeaway. Still have bacon and skilleted tomato. Still excellent quality even after a three mile journey.! If you haven't try this gem of a cafe by supporting this worthwhile cause.

I enjoy coming in here on occasion for a sweet treat or a sandwich. It's the friendly atmosphere and the kindness of the people working there that keeps me coming back. Highly recommended.

What a find! Great homemade cake, fresh crisp salad and a good cup of tea. Friendly staff supporting the local community. Unpretentious and relaxing. We left refreshed and feeling good. Many thanks - we will be back.

Not a sophisticated or swanky branded cafe but authentic venue with friendly and honest-to-goodness personalities running it. Coffees are not that wonderful but drinkable all the same.

Love this cafe. Very friendly staff. Very welcoming. I have friends that visit from EU country's and I bring them here for coffee and breakfast. Can't fault this place at all. Keep up The good work guys.

I only get one day during the week and today it was time for my car's MOT. knowing I would have to kill time in Stony Stratford the dilemma was where to go for a cup of tea and a bit to eat. My husband says don't go in Costa lot so where. well let me tell you all MACLTRE COFFEE SHOP is the best place to go, not only did I have my cuppa and breakfast which came out promptly the staff where friendly I felt my hard earned money has gone to a good course. Popped in today.. First time.. Been meaning to pop in for ages! Well worth the visit wish I had been in earlier! Had a sasauge baguette, a chocolate brownie & a chocolate cup cake ( pictures below).. & my fiancé had a hot choc, the food was amazing.! The hot chocolate is better than any I have Had anywhere before ( I highly recommend) the service was second to none! Friendly and attentive staff! The place was very clean! Comfortable surroundings! Very satisfied!! Will be back again very soon! Thanks!

Rarely do you visit a catering outlet and come away having your body and mind refreshed but this is one place you can experience both.Whilst the profits go to help the MacIntyre charity, the fact that the people they support are actually gainfully employed in the outlet is even better. We had the 'Chunky Vegetable Soup' and to say a knife and fork would have been useful is an understatement. For once a large bowl of real soup was being put down in front of us. Large chunks of the most tender root veg and the tastiest liquid made this heaven on earth. Accompanied by a full baguette and an ample supply of butter portions made this a 'steal' at only £3.95.Coffee and tea to whet our appetite made it a visit which we will be repeating when we next visit - in fact, going there again could well be the reason for our next trip to this lovely quaint town.Thanks to the folks of MacIntyre for a delightful, nourishing and uplifting experience.

Stopped here last week and had the best snack lunch for a long while. The salad was great, not limp like most places and the PANINI's are the best my husband has tasted - and he eats a lot of them!It is a great place, which apart from serving great food, is giving their staff, some of whom have learning difficulties, independence and a wage.Please try this independent Café - it deserves the support of all visitors to SS who want a coffee and more.We will be back.

An occasional coffee stop for me - coffee is excellent (I drink black unadulterated) and a pastry I had was good too. Best priced quality coffee that I have found in SS

Popped by for a quick cuppa on the way home from shopping in mk. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Had the best sausage sandwich and was reasonably priced and the victoria sponge was gorgeous. We had to rush off home and staff were happy to box them up for us to take home. Lovely cafe will definatley be popping by when i pass through more often.

Have eaten here many times over the last six months whilst recovering from an operation. Full English is good alongside good paninis, and breakfast sandwiches. All served effeciently and with a smile, for a good cause. Value for money is the key here. Other establishments should take note!

Macintyres is a special little place with great food and wonderful staff. You always get a good welcome and if you don't have a smile when you enter, you will by the time you leave! A little haven on the high street...

It's the best hot chocolate ever and the cake is perfect .. The atmosphere inside is really nice and beautiful. We enjoy eating and feel so happy. its the best❤️

I like to go here as staffed by some of the youngsters. The coffee and food are fine but it's a bit dowdy inside,especially given the location and age of building it's in.

Soup that is real, paninis that are full and hot, excellent fully filled sandwiches, good jacket potatoes. What more do you want for lunch?

You really need to go to this place! The people are incredibly friendly the help is absolutely brilliant and to top it all the coffee is good too and not expensive like Costa

I have followed mcintyre for many years and its Stony Stratford coffee shop is just great.As a charity, this café has the aim of educating and integrating those with special needs into our community and it succeeds where others do less so.Much better to meet your friends, have business breakfast break or a takeaway baguette if you don't have time to stay.Situated within the Stony Stratford Conservation Area which has over 200 listed buildings and is the home of Dickens' Oliver and the saying ' Cock and Bull' story.Don't go to Costa go to mcintyre. Been here recently, very easy menu but service is good and food is reasonable, price is very good. Staff are friendly and extremely polite.

Like many people, my wife and I headed automatically to a well known corporate coffee house in the High Street for a mid-morning drink and snack. It was busy (a long queue) and so we headed out and decided to visit (for the first time) the MacIntyre cafe at the top end of the High Street. The mix of full-time/voluntary staff together with those with learning disabilities who receive support from the charity, made the cafe feel special. I had heard how fantastic their homemade cakes are but I plumped for a bacon baguette (which came with salad and coleslaw) and my wife had a toasted teacake with jam and butter, all helped down with pots of tea. It was all delicious and served at the table by friendly staff. The small cafe has a homely 'feel good' feeling about it and the food and drinks were excellent value for money. And you can also get wifi in the cafe!! When I am next in Stony Stratford I will definitely head to the MacIntyre cafe again as I am keen to try a slice of their wonderful looking cakes whilst at the same time feeling good knowing my money was going towards supporting such a wonderful charity.

Had a wonderful brunch here, enjoying the tea cakes and beans on toast with a cup of tea and apple juice.Table service is provided with speedy service. The case is clean with vintage style patterns on table cloths and crockery. The cakes looked awesome, but will restrain ourselves till next time. Finally, it was very reasonably priced at £9 for the people to have brunch and a drink.

This is a lovely little coffee shop offering a range of lunch snacks and delicious cakes at a good price. We had a lovely jacket potato and baguette, and of course chocolate cake! The service was great, quick and friendly. I will definitely be returning.

Called in for afternoon tea & cake as car was being serviced nearby so treat to self. Wasn't disappointed. Excellent tea & fabulous cake! Thoroughly enjoyed myself & would warmly recommend. This is care in the community at its best.

This is a great place for a quick snack or a healthy lunch - if not a cream tea or a hand baked cake and lovely drink. The staff here are wonderful - either carers, trainers or differently abled trainees whose attention to service and fabulous smiles really cheer you up. Cakes are baked in Macintyre's own training bakery which has been known for fantastic bakery since Milton Keynes began.

I visited the coffee shop a couple of years ago on a few occasions with my mum, and was pleasantly surprised. It was a little gem. The staff team at the time were fabulous, really friendly and welcoming, and so lovely with the people they were there to help. I re-visited last week and was so disappointed. The team had all changed, completely changing the atmosphere of the place, and not for the better. The food was still really good, and the price can't be argued with, but the staff seemed very condescending with the people they help, and not very friendly. I left feeling a little deflated by the atmosphere. Such a shame

Me and a girl friend visited today to have an afternoon tea treat, and what a lovely little treat it was! . delicious finger sandwiches with cheese and cucumber, ham and egg mayo and cakes ... Scrummy chocolate brownie, a lush cherry scone with jam and clotted cream and a huge slice of very fresh victoria sandwich ( which we both bought home as couldn't fit it in !) wonderful service as usual from all the staff. I would defiantly recommend it.

Great atmosphere, staff and very good prices! The food was very tasty even though the menu was a bit limited! Would have loved if they stayed open a bit later in afternoon so that you can make a quick visit after work.

It is a lovely and friendly environment to go and have something to eat. It is a great way to support the staff that work there, and great to see them being given the chance to do a days work with care and support from other staff. Best toasted sandwiches in Stony Stratford. Would recommend popping in even if just for a cuppa.

I went to the MacIntyre coffee shop with my mum. I love the decor and the atmosphere; welcoming, friendly and relaxed. The prices are fantastic and the cake is just delicious. You have to go and check it out for yourself!

Me and my fiance visited this coffee shop on a weekend break and I was very impressed at the wonderful service we had I had a carrot cake which was delicious and a pot of tea and my fiance had a sausage as switch and a victoria sponge the staff were extremely friendly and everywhere was clean I might have to go back again just for the carrot cake :) great value for money.

We popped into this coffee shop for the first time since it re-opened earlier in the year after re-decoration. Wonderful (and sizeable) piece of Victoria sponge and a toasted teacake were ordered and were served by a terrific cheerful chap. This is a wonderful alternative to the big chain coffee megaplex that dominate our high streets.

Had a great first visit to the coffee shop, it was a very busy Saturday afternoon but the service was cheerful & efficient, the food was delicious & freshly made (Very yummy cheese ploughman's!) The homemade cakes looked amazing but we had no room!!

I visited this little coffee shop the other day and had homemade carrot and coriander soup, it was lovely, the atmosphere was really nice. All of the staff were really friendly and will definitely return.

Stopped off here for lunch after walking through Stony Stratford. Food selection is good with everything from Jacket Potatoes to Sandwiches etc etc. Staff are very very friendly and will do everthing they can to help. Go on, call in for a coffee...And it's all for a good cause too.

Really good selection of food. The daily specials are really good. Last time I was there I had a sweet potato curry, it was delicious. Really reasonably priced too. It's all made even better by the relaxed atmosphere.

I have been visiting this coffee shop for a long time and always have great service and really tasty food. There is always a great choice of cakes and which are homemade. Been a veggie I have a lovely choice of food and the daily specials are great. The atmosphere is always relaxed and I never feel rushed and many times have lost track of time. It's a lovely place to pop in to for a great lunch and value for money.
