Lovely coffee shop with excellent baked cheesecake! A friend and I had a wonderful sunny afternoon that was made better by Jen one of the workers. If you're going to Eynsham or just passing through you gotta grab a coffee, tea and sweet treat from Lyall&Co!!

Lewis and Jen make the best coffee in the area. Great coffee blend, silky milk, and freshly made pastries in store every morning - I highly recommend the almond croissant. Definitely pop up if you’re in the area!

Lyalls is fabulous. I come here regularly for a whole host of reasons: change of scene when I work from home, play board games with my children, have some time to myself away from the family, to hang out with my parents, to participate in the local knitting club. The staff are kind and hospitable. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The WiFi is great, and they do cool collaborations with local businesses (see photo). Dogs are welcome but I'm not bringing mine in until he learns some manners. The cafe has a large accessible loo.

A lovely welcoming village cafe, with good coffee and excellent cinnamon buns. Lovely bright spacious seating areas, and excellent service. I have chosen to stay living in Eynsham partly because I like this place so much.

Having visited here several times before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, today was an absolute disappointment. The coffee and pastries were delicious but the cleanliness of the cafe was appalling. The toilet was absolutely filthy. The toilet seat was broken and the seat , pan and surroundings stained with urine. A dead plant in the corner should have been removed. Crumbs and food debris had not been cleaned from either the tables or the floor and this along with dead plants dotted around provided the perfect environment for flies. The walls are grubby and in need of a repaint and all in all we were extremely unhappy with our visit. There are far better and cleaner places to visit in the area and the owners should take note.

I'm confused about what's happened here. The menu seems to have got progressively shorter over the months and years, and yesterday, there was one single item listed on the menu. Yes, they do patisseries, yes they do pizza and drinks, but it's not anything like how it once was. As a vegetarian, I ordered a Margarita pizza. To my disappointment, a pizza with mushrooms and ham was brought to the table :( The pizza, once it had arrived, was floppy :( I also had a stranger join my table, a person going through some kind of delusional/psychotic episode, which made my stay, my little treat to myself after a long, 7 day shift, much less than pleasant. Some form of assistance from staff in the situation (an offer to re-seat me), would have helped! Overall, not a great experience.

I visited here with a friend at start of December and we were slightly dissatisfied with how dirty and sticky all the tables were, crumbs everywhere and what appeared to be leftovers of spilt coffee/tea making the table so sticky. The weather was bitterly cold outside and we were looking forward to a hot drink. We were very upset when they arrived basically cold, not even luke warm would cut it. Considering there were 3 people on shift just standing around and taking it also took them a while to bring us our coffees. With 3 people working and only 1 other table, clearing up after your customers such as spraying down the tables and to stop chatting and serve hot drinks would be nice please.

Visited this cafe by chance and had a really great Sunday morning breakfast. Good choice of tasty coffees and pastries and sour bread sandwiches.

I bicycle to the cafe two or three times a fortnight - I think the staff are smiley and helpful. The baked food is of a very high standard - better than most coffee shops and the chocolate almond croissants are wonderful - undo in a mouthful the beneficial effects of a bike ride. Support this place - its terrific and please guys turn down the music - us old folks find it a yad loud

Visited Lyalls on Sunday 23rd January with my better half ... now don't get me wrong I absolutely love this place but our visit wasn't exactly a stellar one ... the service was excruciatingly slow we had to keep asking where our food was ... we decided to have toasties which came as we were finishing our coffee's ... then we decided to have another coffee and get a couple of delicious chocolate and cherry scones ... in the end we had to go get the scones as they forgot about us ... this also happened with other customers ... not sure what happened here guys there were enough of you on and it was not that busy ... always love coming here but thus was so disappointing 😞

Called in for coffee and brunch. Ordered and noticed after a while that no food was coming out of the kitchen. Had our drinks and ate a delicious almond croissant as I was peckish - still no food. Bacon sandwiches for those that are interested. We then heard a family sat next to us get offered free drinks and pastries due to their wait. Not a good sign. Anyway 20 mins later still no food and of course they are still taking orders. Listened as a lady was told food will be at least a 30 minute wait as we have a problem in the kitchen. That was enough for me to ask for my money back. Shame as the coffee and pastry were good.

My other half purchased an iced latte whilst on his break from work! He was served by a polite lady but noticed once he had left the shop that the latte was made with out of date milk that had curdled in the cup. We returned to the cafe to ask for it to be replaced or for a refund- we were then argued with by a male member of staff that the iced latte was perfectly fine! it was obvious from the smell alone it was gone off! As somebody that uses this business regularly when working locally it was disgusting customer service and for this we and the rest of the company will not be returning!

This is an ok sandwich, but a reuben it is not. (A reuben has Thousand Island dressing, not mustard; a reuben has more than one slice of pastrami; and a reuben has sauerkraut, not two small pieces of pickle.) Four members of staff, only two...

My first visit: Staff good, little cakes good, coffee good, furniture good, atmosphere good. I didn't see a menu and thought it was only coffee/tea and cakes on offer... reading other reviews, this isn't the case? I'll go back and find out.

Good quality cakes and toasties, using decent bread, where everything really does seem non-mass-produced. This probably accounts for the price, but people seem very happy to fork out for the bohemian ambiance you get to enjoy. Big step in the door so not too easy...

Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, we were pains in the neck to be honest, requesting several changes of order and asking for clarifications on the type of butter and other finikity things but it was all dealt with in a highly customer focused way, nothing was too much trouble. Really cool and laid back atmosphere. It’s nice to see an establishment of this calibre in Eynsham at last! It’s on the pricey side but I don’t mind paying for good service. One minor criticism, they do not have enough separate tables, one is obliged to share tables. And half the cafe has been taken over by a children’s art business, reducing the available space still further. Having a children’s painting area for free would have been a lovely touch.

“Price is what you pay, value is what you get” Lasagne with a price point looked attractive but the end product was very disappointing - lacked substance, too much liquid and if I’d been asked to identify it as lasagne I would have failed. Also the waiter kept hovering around us waiting to clear dishes and indeed asked my companion whether he had finished when clearly he hadn’t. Coffee cups were not allowed to linger - my cappuccino should have been piping hot - it wasn’t. I come to this restaurant 4x pa, will now to look elsewhere within Woodstock. A shame
